Her lips were brutally forced apart. Si Jin’s kiss was a savage, biting assault, viciously stealing her breath as if he wanted to devour her whole.

Pain, suffocation, and the terror and rage of being utterly violated churned in Yun Sheng’s chest.

She struggled desperately, but Si Jin’s arms were like iron shackles, locking her in his embrace.

His other hand clamped down on the back of her head, the force so great it felt as if he would crush her skull, giving her no chance to pull away.

Time seemed to stretch, each second an unbearable torment.

Just as Yun Sheng felt herself about to drown in this savage sea, her consciousness beginning to fade, Si Jin’s movements suddenly gentled.

The ravenous plundering seemed to... find a sense of direction.

His pressure was no longer so savage. The way his tongue moved against hers took on a desperate, lingering need, as if he were instinctively searching for the "balm" that could truly soothe his pain.

And in this moment of extreme pressure and intimacy, that unique ability deep within Yun Sheng’s spirit began to seep uncontrollably into the very edges of Si Jin’s frenzied, chaotic Spiritual Force Field.

In an instant, a strange sensation, both familiar and foreign, shot through Yun Sheng’s entire body like an electric current!

A powerful, scorching energy, brimming with an aura of destruction and violence, was trickling in wisps along this intimate connection and into her parched spiritual landscape.

Yun Sheng instinctively stopped struggling.

’So it’s not just in dreams that I can steal the power of these top Sentinels. I can do it in reality, too!’

’If I can master more of this power... I won’t have to be so helpless before Si Jin, so easily captured.’

’I won’t have to live in constant fear of Bai Ye discovering my secret!’

This thought, like a wildfire, instantly ignited Yun Sheng’s will to survive and her desire to grow stronger.

The hands she had pressed against Si Jin’s chest relaxed, then slowly slid upward to circle his neck.

Yun Sheng began to kiss him back.

No longer passively enduring it, but actively engaging, demanding.

This, in turn, seemed to spur Si Jin on.

A low groan rumbled in his throat. The hand on the back of her head relaxed its grip slightly, yet he pulled her even tighter, pressing their bodies flush against one another.

At the same time, two vastly different spiritual powers bizarrely intertwined through this primal, intimate contact.

In the dim light of the abandoned warehouse, the only sounds were their mingling, increasingly heated breaths, the rustle of clothing, and the wet, indistinct sounds of their entwined lips.

An unknown amount of time passed.

It might have been only a few minutes, or it might have been an eternity.

Si Jin’s eyes slowly closed, and his head slumped into the crook of Yun Sheng’s neck.

Yun Sheng felt the arms imprisoning her go slack.

She gasped for breath, her lips red and swollen, the tip of her tongue numb. She felt as if she’d been pulled from the water, utterly spent.

But her spiritual landscape was more replenished than it had ever been!

A few seconds later, Yun Sheng snapped back to her senses, realizing this was the perfect opportunity to escape.

Without a moment’s hesitation, she shoved Si Jin off of her. He was already unconscious.

Si Jin’s body slumped against the nearby wall with a dull THUD, but he showed no sign of waking.

Without giving him a second glance, not even bothering to fix her disheveled clothes or swollen lips, Yun Sheng scrambled to her feet and bolted.

The sound of her footsteps echoed through the cavernous warehouse, hurried and frantic.

She didn’t know how far she could get, or when Si Jin might wake up.

’I have to hurry!’

Just as her figure vanished around a corner of the warehouse, Si Jin, still slumped against the wall, twitched a finger.

His eyes remained closed, but the deep furrow in his brow slowly eased.

...

Yun Sheng stumbled out of the warehouse. The cold night air hit her face, helping to clear her flushed cheeks and muddled thoughts.

Before her lay a desolate industrial park, with only a few scattered lights visible in the distance.

She gritted her teeth and ran toward the lights.

She hadn’t gotten far when blinding headlights suddenly rounded a corner ahead.

Several black SUVs bearing the Star Alliance military insignia raced toward her, screeching to a halt to block her path perfectly.

The doors flew open, and the first person to emerge was Bai Ye’s adjutant, Luo Cheng.

"Miss Yun Sheng, we’ve finally found you. The General is on his way." Luo Cheng motioned for the soldiers behind him to remain on alert as he stepped forward. "Are you all right? Where is Si Jin?"

Yun Sheng forced herself to calm down and took a deep breath. "He... he had another spiritual rampage and passed out. He’s in the warehouse back there."

Luo Cheng immediately directed a squad of soldiers to surround the warehouse, but they found no sign of Si Jin.

Just then, Bai Ye’s personal vehicle arrived.

He immediately went to report. "...General, the warehouse is empty. There’s only a strong spiritual power residue, confirmed to be Si Jin’s."

Bai Ye walked up to Yun Sheng, his towering figure casting an oppressive presence.

"Are you sure he was unconscious?"

Under his scrutinizing gaze, Yun Sheng could only dig her nails into her palm to keep her composure.

"I’m sure. He was in a lot of pain, and then he just collapsed. I was so scared, all I could think about was running... Maybe he woke up later? Or maybe someone was there to get him?"

Bai Ye scrutinized her in silence.

Before arriving, he had already reviewed all the surveillance footage from the pedestrian area on the Tower’s west side. Yun Sheng’s movements matched her story. Nothing looked suspicious.

"What did he do to you?" Bai Ye’s gaze fell to Yun Sheng’s swollen lips, and his eyes darkened.

Yun Sheng flinched, and her eyes quickly welled with tears.

"He asked so many strange questions... I didn’t understand. Then he lost control again. He was so strong, I..."

She trailed off, choking on a sob and turning her head away as if she couldn’t go on.

"Get in the car first."

Bai Ye said, his tone softening slightly. Then he turned his head and gave a quiet order to Luo Cheng.

"Continue the search and lock down the area. Si Jin couldn’t have gotten far; the trail is still fresh. Mobilize every available resource. We have to find him."

"Yes, General." Luo Cheng immediately acknowledged the order and turned to make the arrangements.

Bai Ye’s gaze returned to Yun Sheng. "I’ll take you home. The Lin Family is very worried about you."

Yun Sheng nodded silently and got into the car obediently.

The car’s interior was spacious, yet it was filled with the same cold, sharp aura that clung to Bai Ye himself—a silent assault on the senses.

Bai Ye sat down across from her and closed his eyes to rest.

The car was silent, but for Yun Sheng, every second felt like a year.

Even with his eyes closed, his scrutinizing gaze felt like a tangible presence, weighing down on her.

She clutched the hem of her clothes and forced herself to clear her mind, praying to get back to the Lin Family residence quickly and escape this suffocating solitude.

Just when Yun Sheng thought the rest of the journey would pass in silence, Bai Ye suddenly opened his eyes.

"Your guide hormone," he said, his voice startlingly clear in the enclosed car, "seems much more active than it was at the institute last time."

Yun Sheng’s heart clenched.

’I just absorbed some of Si Jin’s power and replenished my spiritual landscape. It’s possible my guide hormone would fluctuate slightly, but I never thought Bai Ye’s senses would be this sharp!’
