Chapter 141: The Deliberately Mischievous Si Jin
Si Jin’s lips were scorching hot, filled with an undeniable possessiveness as they plundered Yun Sheng’s breath inch by inch.
The kiss left Yun Sheng dizzy and breathless. All she could do was cling to his shoulders, letting him pull her under.
At some point, the hand cupping the back of her head slid down, his fingertips grazing the nape of her neck and sending a shiver through her.
Yun Sheng let out an involuntary whimper, a sound so soft it startled even her.
Si Jin paused.
He pulled back slightly, pressing his forehead against hers. His breath was hot and ragged.
In the dim light, his eyes were shockingly bright, as if they held two clusters of inextinguishable fire.
"Yun Sheng," he called out, his voice hoarse. "You know I’m willing to wait, but right now..."
Before he could finish, Yun Sheng kissed him.
She mimicked his earlier actions, gently tracing the line of his lips, lingering for a moment before giving them a soft bite.
Si Jin grunted, his hand tightening on her waist. He forced himself to remain still, letting her kiss him with clumsy but eager initiative.
As their breaths mingled, his spiritual power stirred, reaching out cautiously to entwine with Yun Sheng’s.
The moment they made contact, Yun Sheng’s body trembled.
The sensation was magical, like a gentle tickle deep in her soul, or like being submerged in a warm current, every nerve tingling.
Si Jin’s breath hitched.
The moment their spiritual powers intertwined, they both felt a tremor run through their very core.
The stimulation was a hundred times more profound than in her dreams, so real it was almost unbearable.
Si Jin’s lips lingered on Yun Sheng’s, but his scorching palm had already slipped inside her combat uniform to press against the smooth, pale skin of her waist.
Startled by the heat, Yun Sheng instinctively flinched, letting out a low "Ooh."
With eyes glistening with moisture, she shot a reproachful glare at the man before her.
The look was as soft as a cat’s paw—not painful, but utterly alluring.
As if that one glance had stolen his soul, Si Jin’s Adam’s apple bobbed hard. The last of his restraint shattered.
He gripped her waist, pulling her even closer as his scorching kisses fell upon her.
They landed on the pale skin of her neck, on her alluring collarbone, tracing a path down her elegant lines. He could feel her tremble with every touch of his lips.
Kissed until she was light-headed, Yun Sheng clung to his shoulders, her fingertips tightening unconsciously.
Si Jin’s hands were busy, too. As he kissed her, he fumbled with the clasp of her combat uniform.
And then, he froze.
’This combat uniform... Why is it so hard to unfasten?’
He frowned, fumbling for what felt like an eternity, but simply could not figure it out.
The man who had been so effortlessly in control moments ago was now stumped by a tiny clasp. A rare hint of bewilderment colored the dark depths of his eyes.
Yun Sheng felt his movements cease. Drowsily, she opened her eyes to see Si Jin frowning at the collar of her uniform, looking as if he were facing a formidable enemy.
She blinked, then realized what was happening and burst out laughing with a "Pfft!"
As she laughed, the flush at the corners of her eyes hadn’t yet faded, but a dimple bloomed at the corner of her mouth, making her look both delicate and saucy.
Si Jin looked up and met her smiling eyes, a hint of grievance in his own.
"This uniform..." he said, his voice hoarse and tinged with complaint. "Who designed this?"
Yun Sheng laughed even harder, her shoulders trembling.
After a long moment of laughter, she reached out, gently placing her hand over his and guiding his fingers to the hidden clasp.
"Silly," she murmured, her face blushing and her voice soft. "It’s right here."
Si Jin hummed in response, though it was unclear if he’d even registered her words.
His attention was already captivated by something else.
Before she could pull back the hand that had guided him, he caught it, lacing their fingers together and pressing them to the surface beside her ear.
"Say it again."
He leaned in, his nose brushing against hers, his hot breath fanning across her lips.
The touch tickled, and Yun Sheng turned her head away, but he followed, relentless.
"Who are you calling silly?" His voice was impossibly hoarse, yet it held a teasing, mischievous lilt. "Hm?"
Yun Sheng’s face was completely red. She refused to say a word.
Si Jin wasn’t annoyed. His lips ghosted over the corner of hers as he chuckled. "It seemed to roll off the tongue just fine a moment ago."
Mortified, Yun Sheng squeezed her eyes shut, but her lashes wouldn’t stop trembling.
"Open your eyes. Look at me," he coaxed in a low voice.
Yun Sheng refused.
The next second, the hand at her waist moved.
The hidden clasp she had just helped him undo was somehow fastened again.
Yun Sheng froze. She snapped her eyes open to meet a pair of laughing, sapphire-blue eyes.
"Si Jin!" she glared, mortified and annoyed.
The amusement in Si Jin’s eyes deepened. He leaned in and pecked her on the lips, his voice low and tender.
"Teach me again."
"You..." Yun Sheng was so exasperated she lightly pounded his chest. "You did that on purpose!"
Si Jin caught her misbehaving hand, brought it to his lips for a kiss, and arched an eyebrow innocently.
"What was on purpose?"
"You know you did it on purpose!"
Yun Sheng glared at him, the corners of her eyes still flushed. The glare held no threat; if anything, it looked more like she was pouting.
Si Jin let out a low chuckle. His chest vibrated, and Yun Sheng, pressed against him, could feel his amusement.
"Yes, on purpose," he admitted freely, leaning close to her ear. His warm breath tickled her skin. "I just wanted to hear you talk a little more."
Yun Sheng’s ears turned bright red, and a pink flush crept down her neck.
"You’re... so childish."
"Yes, childish," he agreed with a smile, his lips ghosting over her earlobe. "Only for you."
He teased her until she felt weak, but there was nothing she could do about it. With a flushed face, she could only mumble, "...So, are you going to unfasten it or not?"
The light in Si Jin’s eyes suddenly darkened.
"I am," his voice dropped to a rasp, but he couldn’t resist one more playful jab. "But will you say it again?"
Utterly mortified, Yun Sheng clapped a hand over his mouth.
"Stop talking!"
Si Jin blinked, his sapphire eyes brimming with amusement, and nodded obediently.
Only then did Yun Sheng release her hand.
The next second, he suddenly ducked his head and gave her fingertips a gentle nip.
It didn’t hurt, but the tickle made her snatch her hand back.
"Si Jin!"
He grinned like a fox who had gotten into the henhouse, but he finally stopped teasing her and bent his head to seriously study the hidden clasp.
This time, he was genuinely serious.
But perhaps as a side effect of his earlier "deliberate" failure, his hand fumbled at her waist for a long time, and the hidden clasp stubbornly refused to budge.
Si Jin’s brow gradually furrowed.
Yun Sheng waited a moment, then couldn’t resist looking down.
Then, with a "Pfft," she burst out laughing again.
"You..." Her shoulders shook with laughter. "Are you a dummy or something?"
Si Jin looked up to meet her crescent eyes, his own face a mask of pitiful grievance.
Once she’d had her fill of laughter, Yun Sheng gently pushed his hand aside and pressed her fingertip onto the hidden clasp.
CLICK. It opened.
She looked up at him, amusement still dancing in her eyes, and gave him a provocative arch of her brow.
Si Jin stared at her for two seconds, then suddenly bent down, scooped her into his arms, and crushed his lips to hers.
"I’ve learned," he said in a low voice, the amusement in his eyes replaced by a deeper, darker current. "Now, it’s my turn to teach you."
