Chapter 231: Ch-231: News and Preparation
[Ding Dong]
[Do you want to proceed with the name Angel Wing Guild? Yes/No]
"Yes," Olivia picked without hesitation, and the name of her guild was engraved onto the object.
"Hey, Olivia, what are you doing?" Rachel and Andrew walked towards Olivia, seeing her standing motionless, and saw the item in her hand.
"Well..." She explained the situation, and Rachel, hearing this, impatiently said, "Hurry, crush it. Let’s see what happens."
Crush
Without hesitation, she crushed the object, and the next moment—
Rumble
"What the hell?" Olivia cursed as she felt the whole ground suddenly shaking.
Rumble
The whole ground started to shake violently, like it had been hit by an earthquake of 8 magnitude.
"Heavens!" Rachel’s eyes flew wide as she saw cracks appearing on the ground, and after minutes passed, the cracks grew larger, and a huge pit the same size as two football fields formed.
"What just happened?" Andrew’s face was green as he was feeling a bit sick from the shaking.
Just as everyone was about to lean forward and look down, Olivia’s voice rang out, "Quick, get back! Something is emerging!"
They did not even need to wait for Olivia’s shout as they jumped backwards as soon as a golden pillar of light shot towards the sky.
This phenomenon was also noticed by some players in the distance, who immediately started discussing it and rushing towards the place.
"Hey, what the hell is that sudden light?"
"Maybe it’s some kind of treasure."
"Or maybe it’s some kind of danger."
"I’m going. What if it’s a treasure and someone gets there before us?"
Many players’ eyes lit up with greed and anticipation as they rushed towards the destination.
While the other players were rushing towards the place, Olivia, Rachel, and Andrew looked at the huge building surrounded by mansions and shops with their mouths hanging open.
Olivia snapped out of her daze when she saw new notifications appear on her retina.
[Ding Dong]
[You are the first person to create an in-game faction]
[The Akashic Records have rewarded you with a top-tier base for your faction for being the first one]
"Oh." Olivia’s eyes lit up with joy when she saw the message, and Rachel and Andrew, who saw her smile, could not help but ask, "Olivia, what’s going on? Where did this building and new land come from?"
Andrew looked at Olivia for answers.
Olivia looked at him and said in a slightly excited voice, "This is the reward I got from the Akashic Records for being the first person to create an in-game faction."
"What!" Hearing Olivia’s words, both Andrew and Rachel exclaimed as they looked at the place with shining eyes. Even the other guild members who heard her words broke into an uproar.
"Long live Guild Leader Olivia!"
"Haha, our guild will become more famous thanks to this!"
"I was worried about where we would set up our base in the future."
"Yeah, I thought we would have to spend a fortune to buy land in this world later, but who would have thought..."
"Olivia, other than this, did you get any more benefits from opening a faction?" Andrew asked curiously.
"Indeed, I did." Olivia nodded and then continued, "From the information I got, I am now acknowledged as a Lord, the same as the nobility of this world, and I can attack and conquer other nobles or organizations to expand our territory."
As Olivia said this, her eyes gleamed with ambition and hunger. Andrew and Rachel, who heard this, also had their eyes light up. Just as they were daydreaming...
Step Step
"Hmm?" Olivia frowned as she turned around and looked at the players who had just arrived, their eyes fixed on the building with covetous gazes.
Andrew and Rachel also noticed this, and their faces turned cold. Andrew signaled to the other guild members.
"Halt! This is the base of the Angel Wing Guild. Trespassers will be executed without mercy," one of the guild members said in a loud voice. Only then did the other players notice them.
"Damn, it’s the Angel Wing Guild!"
"Look, that’s Olivia, the second strongest player!"
"Even the others, like Andrew and Rachel, are here!"
"Shit, when did the Angel Wing Guild get a base?"
"What rotten luck! I thought this place was a treasure."
Many of the players who recognized the situation immediately backed off, as they did not want to mess with such a powerful organization, but others had different ideas.
"Hah, how could this place belong to a single person? I’m sure this place must have treasures, and they’re purposely blocking our path."
"Brothers and sisters, let’s all charge together. I don’t think they can defeat us all."
"Yeah, let’s go!"
Olivia, Rachel, and Andrew looked at each other and sighed helplessly.
"Looks like they only understand the language of fists." Olivia’s expression turned cold immediately.

Back at Silvernum City
Victor, who had just had another passionate round of lovemaking with his beautiful wives, sat on the sofa after taking a shower.
"I wonder how the people on Earth are reacting to the Angel Wing Guild becoming an official faction and getting their own territory," Victor mumbled as he opened the in-game news.
"Breaking News! We have just gotten news that the Angel Wing Guild, run by Guild Master Olivia, the second player in the player rankings, has managed to create the first-ever in-game faction, a feat which even the elusive Faceless has yet to accomplish," the host said excitedly.
"Hmph." Victor snorted, hearing her throw shade at him. If he wanted, he could also easily form a guild and could have become the first person to open an in-game faction.
"Now, viewers who are confused about what an in-game faction is, it is a faction that is officially recognized by the Akashic Records and gives the same authority as nobles in the game. To become a faction, the leaders need to find an object called a Faction Token, which has a very low drop rate in the game, and only a handful of people have managed to get their hands on them."
"Moreover, most of the people who have found the tokens have sold them to other guild leaders for millions, and some even made billions of dollars from auctioning them."
"Of course they would." Victor sighed. There were a lot of players who preferred money over power, and he did not find anything wrong with that, but he had visible disdain for such people, as they would backstab you for money at any time.
He then closed the news channel and opened the chat to see the reactions of the players directly.
---
Noobmaster69: Holy shit, as expected of a top player. I did not expect someone other than Faceless to stir up the Awakened community. This proves every player is formidable.
Noobking51: I was wondering when the guilds were going to establish themselves in the other world and what the requirements were. My guild master had tried to establish a guild there, but for some reason, he had been rejected. Now I understand; he was missing a Faction Token.
Gamerking77: Who would have expected the Angel Wing Guild to be the first guild to create a faction? I thought it would be the Awakeners Association.
Moonlight666: The Awakeners Association is not a guild.
Sniper56: But it is still an organization eligible to form a faction.
Noobmaster69: Indeed, I heard that the Awakeners Association was the one who spent billions to buy the token.
Swordking66666: Damn it, getting the token is so difficult. Every member of my guild has already killed hundreds of monsters, but we did not get a token. How on earth did those bastards get the Token?
Humanitygamer78: Forget about this, but did you see the video where the Angel Wing Guild slaughtered so many players? They are completely heartless. How could they do this knowing they would die in the real world?
Noobking51: @Humanitygamer78, are you an idiot? Didn’t you see they were only defending themselves? And even if they died, it’s their fault. Who told them to mess with someone who was way stronger than them?
---
Victor shook his head and then closed the chat. Just as he expected, everyone was talking about the event.
Knock Knock
"Lord Victor, Princess Amanda asked me to inform you that the spy has brought the intelligence, and she is ready to deliver it if it’s alright with you," Edward’s voice rang out.
"It’s fine. You go prepare the army. I will come downstairs in a few minutes," Victor said.
"As you wish," Edward said as he heard the footsteps fading away.
"Hey, you two, get cleaned up and dressed." Victor looked at the bed and shook his nude wives, who were covered in white fluids.
"Ugh, is it time already?" The first one to wake up was Amber, who groaned, followed by Rina.
"Clean yourselves up. We are going to war again," Victor said calmly as he saw his wives go to the bathroom.
After half an hour, the trio headed downstairs.
