Chapter 68: Face Eating & Interrogations
His ears perked forward so sharply they nearly pointed straight ahead.
When he looked back up at her face, his golden eyes were wide with that look of excitement she had seen before.
"Are you with cub?"
"Uh..."
Tera’s cheeks were on fire again.
She slowly nodded.
Then Xavi’s face broke into a bright smile, and his tail wagged behind him.
He pulled Tera close and started plastering her face with kisses.
"You are with cub." He sounded very excited.
’Whoa.’
He kissed her left cheek.
Tera blinked.
Then her right cheek.
Then her forehead.
Then her left cheek again, because apparently, once wasn’t enough.
Then the tip of her nose.
Her skin tingled everywhere he kissed, and it felt very nice, even though it was starting to get ticklish.
He hadn’t even confirmed if it was his, and he was so excited?
Her chin.
"Xavi—"
He pulled back just far enough to look at her, and the expression on his face made every coherent thought she had dissolve.
For a dazed moment, she saw how Xavi looked so cute.
He looked very adorable and hot many times, but this was a new look, and it made him look so precious.
"You don’t know if it is yours," she whispered.
He shook his head, still smiling. "It does not matter. I will take care of you. If it is his, you can have mine later."
Tera nearly melted. He was so optimistic that he was not even bothered about her carrying Ermin’s child.
Was he going to explode if she told him she was also carrying his baby?

She was going to keep this for a little while as a surprise. Plus, what normal person would even know about the status of the baby literally after having sex?

He cleared his throat and stepped back, still holding Tera’s face while his composure slowly returned.
But his tail still swayed, and he looked very proud.
"You will need plenty of rest and sleep. Ermin and I will take good care of you both. I will hunt every day. You will not lift anything heavy. You will eat more..."
As he kept on talking, Tera’s eyes widened.
Damn, were they going to outright baby her?
But seeing Xavi so happy made her chest feel warm.
She leaned up to plant a kiss on his cheek, her lips tingling as she stepped back.

Tera felt so touched by that.
His eyes gleamed, and he plastered her face with kisses again.
"Oh my God!" Tera laughed, squirming in his grip. She pressed her hands against his chest, trying to push him back, but he was immovable. A solid wall of warm, happy bear who had apparently decided that face kisses were now his primary method of communication.

A rustle in the nearby bushes made them both pause.
One of the cubs peeked out from the bush.
Another head popped out.
Then another.
Tera’s eyes nearly popped out of her head.
Where did these three come from—
The fourth cub popped out.
’What the fuck?!’
Their eyes were fixed on the two adults with the bewildered expressions of children who had just witnessed something atrocious.
"Leader, why are you eating her face?!"
Tera snorted so hard she nearly choked. Xavi’s ears flicked. He turned his head, still holding Tera’s face in both hands, and regarded the cub with the serious expression of someone delivering very important information.
"I am not eating her face."
"You are putting your mouth on her face. That is how eating starts."
"This is different—what are you doing here?" Xavi suddenly asked, as if remembering what was more important.
One of them, who seemed to have appointed himself spokesperson, puffed out his small chest. "The adults are all busy. Nobody noticed we left."
"Busy with what?" Tera asked.
The cub shrugged with the magnificent indifference of a child who had zero interest in adult affairs. "I don’t know. The pink one looked angry."
Ermin?
Xavi straightened, suddenly alert.
"Go back to the others," he firmly told the cubs, and they grumbled, scattering back towards the settlement.
Xavi went after them, pulling Tera along.
But her legs were still a bit unsteady from the soreness of her pussy. And keeping up with a bear beast man’s stride was a losing battle on the best of days.
"Xavi," Tera groaned, and he immediately stopped to eye Tera.
"Oh, sorry—"
She smiled, shaking her head. "It is fine. I will walk at my own pace—"
His hand came to rest on the small of her back, stunning her.
"Let’s go."
"Ah..."
Walking in like this was going to draw attention to them. Then again, it was already clear as day to the clan that she was dick-hopping between him and Ermin.
Her face lightly heated up with embarrassment.
This was so strange.
The whole escapade in the shelter was making her so self-conscious about this!
Tera immediately urged Xavi to go ahead that she would come after him. His response had been to carry her, which made her heart jump in her chest, and she had to convince him to just focus on the clan first, and she wasn’t going to evaporate into thin air if he looked away.
Xavi grudgingly accepted it, and she followed closely as he made his way to the settlement. Tera noticed how he had reduced his pace so she could catch up.
When they arrived, the stares hit.
They weren’t hostile or suspicious. They were something far worse.
Knowing.
One of the females gave her a small, shy smile, and heat crawled up Tera’s neck.
.How loud had she been exactly?!
’Kill me now.’
Her attention was quickly taken by Ermin standing with a rigid posture as he faced Feron, the jackal beast. Feron looked agitated and confused.
It did not look like they were having a conversation, but more like Ermin was quietly interrogating him.
