Falling Mage and the Power of Divergence

Outside II, Episode 4: The Purpose of the Perpetrator

Over the course of about three days, the five arrived in the city of Vodka in the central Frestan region.

The time was at night, so the five joined Paul and Kane in advance to enter the inn.

And at the end of the meal, Basil assembles everyone in a meeting room rented to the inn and says as he desperately pushes his anger to death.

"I know what the killer was after."

"Is that true, Captain?

Paul listens without being informed of anything.

"Oh, the killer's mastermind is probably Frestan's senior magician clan"

"Captain, that's..."

I look at Grease saying that, but Waltz asks the question before Basil answers.

"Captain, so what is the purpose of the killer?

"Mass production of magicians."

"No way......"

Maurus notices in Basil's words and looks surprised. Kane asked Basil as he seemed to have noticed as well as Maurus.

"A magician and a girl..."

"Probably will"

"Oh no... terrible things..."

In Kane's words, Eliela, the only woman, also reveals the killer's purpose and anger. The greasers also seemed to have figured out the killer's purpose and had lost their words.

"Perhaps the killer is committing the crime at the request of a family of senior magicians in Frestan. Frestan is a place where strength dictates status."

The conclusion that Basil has arrived at, it is a mass production of magicians.

The killers are trying to make a child between the abducted magician and the girl, create a large number of magicians, and bring down the power of the clan. Plus Basil says.

"The mastermind is a clan that uses fire attribute magic."

"Why is that?

Waltz asks what Basil said. There was also a question in there about whether it was okay to squeeze that far at this stage.

So Basil explains why properly.

"There were many magicians among the captured magicians who used fire attributes. It's probably the root end of growing our own by fitting our children with fire attributes."

"Surely that would improve a child's ability..."

Eliela agrees. But she also, no, half-heartedly wonders if that really happens to everyone in this room.

Basil explains what he will do tomorrow to his men.

"Tomorrow we will go to church and find out about the senior magicians around the fire attributes. If you find out, head straight to the house and ask where the hostages are. It could be a battle there in the worst case scenario, so get ready."

"" "" "" Understood "" ""

That's where the meeting ended, and Basil and the platoon captains each headed back to their rooms with complicated faces.

The next day, when Basil and I went to Frestan Church, the church was just having a meeting of the tops.

When Basil hears that a meeting is taking place at the reception, he puts the platoon captains on standby and boards into the conference room alone.

Basil, who manages to contain his anger, says by opening the door of the room where he is meeting with a dobby and a loud noise.

"Excuse me."

Who are you? We're in a meeting. "

Five men were in a meeting room, but they raise their voices of condemnation against Basil, who suddenly came in.

Of the five, two are sent from the Episcopal Church, and the remaining three are the representatives of the land. In one of those three, over fifty men, Toz crept towards Basil, who suddenly came in.

"Outsiders go home. We're in an important meeting now."

"Todd, Lord Todd! He is one of the thirteenth apostles of the Episcopal Church, Basil Eight."

"Become, what?

In the words of Torban, the man around forty sent by the Episcopal Church, Toz looks at Basil in surprise.

His equipped white armor belongs exactly to the thirteenth Apostle of the Episcopal Church, and Toz hastily changes his attitude.

"Oh, excuse me for this. So what can I do for you?

Basil speaks frankly to Toz for changing his attitude.

"I want a list of senior magician clans that use fire attributes that are in Frestan"

"Hey, why is that?

I'm curious to know why Basil, the Thirteenth Apostle, craves such a thing, Toz, but I can't answer Basil.

"I can't tell you that. But this is a demand as the Thirteenth Apostle"

"Okay."

That said, Toz left the room once and brought something like a file.

There's a list of the senior magician clans that Frestan belongs to, and Basil sees that list.

Toz's brought list contains quite a few advanced magician clans, from which Basil squeezes the clans that use fire attributes.

As a result of the squeeze, there are fifteen advanced magician clans that use fire attributes in all, and there are still many. Basil squeezes further out of it.

"What kind of clan has a luxurious fund in this?

"It will be these six houses.

Because grabbing people requires money, Basil narrowed it down to a luxurious clan of funds. There are six families in all that Toz pointed to, and there are still many. Basil squeezes the conditions further.

"Who in these six houses specializes in battles that have gone on crusades to the dark realm?

"These are the two houses."

Toz referred to two clans. Once you get here, you can look for lice crumbs, but Basil asked.

"Maybe the weaker of these two houses have been making disturbing moves lately?

"Yes, it is true that the Gulsberg family has been making disturbing moves lately...... why would you do that? I was just in a meeting about it..."

"There's a lot going on. So how can you get to the Gulsberg family?

I thought Basil hit the inside. Almost to the killer, Basil hears wholeheartedly that he wants to rescue the kidnapped people quickly.

"If that's the case, it's near here, so we can get there right away."

"Okay. So can you place security around the Gulsberg family from now on?

"Why is that?

"Visit now, because if the Gulsbergs attack, they will perish in the name of the Thirteenth Apostle of the Episcopal Church"

"Oh, that's..."

The top of the church understands the word Basil's annihilation. The Episcopal Church is investigating a case that it does not grasp in the Church, and that it is the Gulsberg family that is at its heart.

"Okay."

"Thank you for your cooperation"

That's what Basil left out of the conference room.

He then joined the platoon captains and relied on the map he had received from the church to make his way to the Gulsberg family.
