Falling Mage and the Power of Divergence

Episode 113: The Villagers of Gonra Village

"Huh."

As the morning sun plugged into the room, Seyya, along with such a dumb voice, woke up. Even though the season is already summer, the wind entering the room is somewhere chilly and reminds me late that I am on a tree in the woods.

"Wake up, Seiya."

"Oh."

When Seyya got out of the futon, Melena, already in her living room in her maid's clothes as usual, was cooking breakfast with an old lady who seemed gentle.

"Morning, Seiya. Did you sleep well?

"Yes, thanks to you"

The old woman, who was making breakfast with Melena, smiles and says hello to Saiya.

She is the wife of Dada, the chief of the village of Gonra, the lord of this house, and Greja, president of the "Association of Gonra Village Women". In the end, Seyya and Melena were to stay at Dada's house, and the two spent the night in the same room.

"Huh."

"Are you still sleepy, Lord Seyya? She said she went to bed right away yesterday."

When Seyya gives a grand yawn, Dada enters the room laughing. Dada's atmosphere was koala, but its face is somewhere red.

"Welcome back, you've been a long time."

"Ugh... a little cheerful..."

Dada stares at his wife, Greha, and turns a blind eye. Apparently, he's just back. Dada tried to get into the house but seemed to fail, as if nothing had happened.

In fact, the village of Gonra was a festival all night yesterday when the threat of galvents disappeared and the new village mercenaries, the Bells, entered.

Before the powerful magic, the survival of the village of Gonra, which I gave up once, that is just the survival, people all over the village are rejoicing and making more noise.

There, naturally, was also called Seyya, a hero who protected the village, but in the haunting atmosphere of the angry Seyya and its relentless demeanor, the villagers were afraid to approach Seyya little.

During the festival, the only people approaching Seyya were Melena, a fellow traveler, and Dada, the village chief, and that dark-haired handsome nuff.

As soon as he realized about it, Seiya returned to the village chief's house in anticipation of the timing and was at ease first.

It was at first that the villagers wondered what was wrong with the disappearance of the main actor of the festival from the way, but due to the absence of Seyya, he relaxed somewhere and enjoyed the festival.

"Well, fine. Breakfast is served."

"Oh, I was just starving."

"Come on, Seiya and Melena too"

"Yes, I'll take it"

"I'll have it."

The two then have breakfast and discuss the future.

"Saiya, I'll be leaving as soon as we have breakfast."

"Oh, we have to hurry."

"Oh, he's gone already?

"Yeah, because we have to head to the Episcopal Church as soon as possible"

I hear you two are leaving soon, and Greja looks lonely. At that time, she told the two of them to wait a little longer to see what she thought and went somewhere.

"Lord Seyya, thank you again for protecting this village"

"No, I..."

Dada suddenly takes her seat and bows her head deeply toward Seyya. From that appearance we can see a heartfelt gratitude for Seyya, who is bewildered.

It is true that Seyya will have saved the village of Gonra, but I do not believe that in Seyya I have done anything to be appreciated because my anger has reached its limits and I have gone impulsively.

"No, not only did you save the present in our village of Gonra, but you saved it to the future. What can I really say? Thank you so much."

"Keep your head up, please. Nothing. I'm not doing enough to keep my head down. If I tell you, I just didn't care about their attitude and did it, and I never protected this village or anything..."

"Still."

Seiya, who has never been so thankful before, doesn't know what to do. Melena, who sees how Saiya is like that, just says to Dada that she has no choice.

"Please don't do that around you. Seyya's in trouble, too."

"Whoa, this is rude. You have trouble keeping your head down by such an old man. Ha-ha-ha."

"No, no"

Melena tells me that Dada hurries and apologizes to Seyya. At that time, Seyya pulled a little, but did not put it into words, that the dada's blindfold was surprisingly cute.

With that done, Seyya and Melena finish their breakfast, get ready to leave the village of Gonra and head down to the demonic horse that is keeping them waiting. When I went downstairs, the area was too quiet in the morning and it was a little creepy.

"Everybody hatched, and by now they're asleep."

"I see."

Given the noise last night, by now, it's not strange for everyone to be asleep.

"Sorry, I'm the only one who dropped you off..."

"No, it's okay"

"That's right. And I'm glad this village is peaceful."

That's what they said as they looked out into the woods.

"Then go."

"Right. Thanks for your help, village chief. Say hello to Greha, too."

"Yes, take care of yourselves. Thank you so much."

"Bye."

The two whipped their demonic horses as they were, trying to make their way to the central kingdom where the Episcopal Church was located. But then, a loud voice sounds in the woods.

"Wait a minute!!!

The two turned around in surprise, and there was a look of Greha rushing over there waving her hand. Greja disappears at breakfast, with something like a basket in her hand, and rushes over to the two of them.

"Ha ha, I made it. Take this."

"What's this?

Melena receives a large basket from Greja. It weighs quite a bit and seems to be packed with a lot of stuff inside.

"Phew, this is two lunches. It's the rest of yesterday's festival, but we shouldn't be hungry on the way, should we? So take it."

"Oh, thank you"

"It's okay, I got help from the village."

Greha heard the two would leave soon and thought about making lunch. But if I were to make it at that point, naturally, I wouldn't make it to the two of us. So Greha was going around a lot of houses, collecting food for both of us because even the rest of yesterday was fine.

From here on, the road continued even more steep, and I was thankful for the two of them who were anxious to possibly secure enough food.

When the two receive a basket from Greha, a lot of people begin to show up from behind the village. Seyya and Melena are amazed at how many there are.

Some of the many people look like Nuff or the gatekeeper I saw yesterday.

"Apparently, everyone's awake."

Dada looks at a lot of villagers and says so.

Yes, it was all the villagers in the village of Gonra who were now in front of the Saiyas, all of whom were here to drop Saiyah and Melena off. It became rumoured that the heroes would soon depart among the people who Greha woke up to collect lunch, and a campaign was spreading to all of us to drop them off.

"Thanks, Seiya!

"Thanks for saving the village!

"Thanks! Thank you so much."

"Come back to this village any time!

"You're always welcome."

"See you around!

"I'm waiting for you."

A heartfelt gratitude from the villagers, some of whom still thought they were afraid of Seyya, but still thankful.

It was true that Seyya protected the village of Gonra and the villagers, and even followed them to an even more powerful mercenary. Even though I thought I was scared, I was more thankful than that.

"You're all grateful to Seiya."

"Now let's have a drink with everyone, Lord Seyya"

"Oh, thanks."

Seiya looked at the people in the village of Gonra who would drop themselves off and said so to Dada with a happy grin. Melena says as she watches Seyya like that with warm eyes.

"Come on, let's really go this time"

"Oh, yeah"

"Take care"

"Come back."

"Yes."

"Oh, I'll be back"

The two of them whipped their demonic horses. Now it's really time to leave Gonra Village.

"" "" "" "" "" "" Thanks! Seyya! "" "" "" "" "" "

With such a voice on their backs, the two left the gates of the village of Gonra for the central kingdom and tried to head into the mountains again, it was then.

Seyya finds a familiar figure by the gate and stops the demonic horse.

"What's the matter, Seyya?

"You..."

"Oh, thank you."

In front of Seyya was Bell, the leader of the mercenaries who attacked this village until yesterday. Behind it are two mercenaries, apparently guarding the gate.

The Bells look at Seyya and their feet tremble to see if they got scared yesterday.

"You're doing a good job."

"Yes, yes, of course. This one is life-threatening..."

"Right."

Seyya treats the Bells with indifference. Seyya's anger was directed at Galvent, who had hired the mercenaries, but it was the Bells mercenaries who were still performing the execution, and there was not much to think of.

Seiya talked to Bell while desperately suppressing the emotion, so she looked indifferent when she saw it.

"Mr. Seyya, are you going yet?

"Oh, what happened to that?

"No, I wanted you to come back if you like"

"What?"

Seiya is surprised by the unexpected words coming out of Bell's mouth. Seiya has done nothing to make her hate the Bells, but she hasn't been told she wants to see them again.

If they say so, it would be more normal not to want to see them anymore. Even so, even if the Bells thought so, I can't say it.

"We are grateful to Mr. Seyya. What we've done so far has not been a good thing to say because of how much money was piled up. That's what I thought yesterday when I hit the fear of death.

Oh, what a bad guy my life was, he said. But Seiya gave us another chance like that. So now I've decided to do everything I can for this village. "

Bell's words are answered by his men.

"Me too. I want to work for people, not for money myself. That's what I thought."

"Me too. I want to fight for someone, too. That's what I thought in yesterday's fight. And it was the same with my people."

"So if the next time Mr. Seyya comes to this village, you're happy to see us doing our job, put an archery on us. Please."

"" Please ""

Belle and two mercenaries bowing their heads toward Seyya. Apparently, Seyya's intimidation has revamped all the mercenaries, and Seyya is surprised.

"Oh, okay. Next time you come."

"" "Thank you!

"Oh......"

Seiya answers in a blindfold because she didn't even think she would be asked to teach or anything. The Bells saluted and thanked Seyya.

"Well, welcome aboard! Instructor Seyya!

"" Welcome! Instructor Seyya!

"Whoa, whoa."

Seyya immediately runs a demonic horse and tries to walk away from the spot. Whoever saw it lit up found out. Melena thought she could taste the embarrassment of being called a teacher.

It was now up to the two of them to take the mountain path towards a central kingdom with an ecclesiastical church.
