Falling Mage and the Power of Divergence

Episode 119: Seven Wise Men

In the dim room, the Seven Wise Men surrounding the round table were dealing with two guests who came into the room.

But their faces are divided into two kinds.

One had lost interest in the guest, but the other had a startling look when he saw a blonde boy who refrained behind a maid of honor rather than two.

Four people have a startling look at Seyya holding back behind Melena: Alfredo, Conrad, Eladio and Gardell.

Seyya thought that Alfredo and Conrad's expressions in particular were very invisible to the faces of those who divided the Episcopal Church.

"Excuse me, gentlemen"

"Excuse me."

Following Melena, Seyya also greets the Seven Wise Men. The three of Iban, Kevin and Marc, who didn't feel anything when they saw about Sayya, normally return a greeting, but the remaining four couldn't return a greeting against the two.

Marc wonders and asks how those older people are doing.

"What is it? Something wrong, Lord Alfredo?

"No, I'm sorry. Kind of."

Alfredo responding in a not so painful manner. His face was not suitable for Marc, the person he was talking to, and he had always been on his way to Seyya. That is the same for the other three.

Seyya felt the gaze of the four Seven Wise Men right after she entered the room, uncomfortable. It was Seyya who saw the faces of the seven sages who would see about themselves, but Seyya is certain that she has never met them.

Seiya wondered and asked me why the hell I was looking at myself and minutes with such a stunned look on my face.

"Um, what's wrong?

When Seyya asked the Seven Wise Men so, they answered, looking at each other, confirming something. The answer is Alfredo, the oldest of the four who are stunned.

"I'm sorry, I followed you because I was the first person here. By the way, what's your Lord's name?

"Is that me? My name is Christina-Saya."

"Christina-Saya, Christina, Christina......"

"Um, what's wrong?

"No, I kind of resemble an old acquaintance. Sorry if I made you feel bad."

"No."

Saiya surprised by the unexpected politeness of the Seven Wise Men's oldest Alfredo. In Saiya, the Seven Wise Men thought they were all hard-headed greats, and Alfredo's attitude was too surprising.

Meanwhile, the four Alfreds who heard Seyya's name are convinced that Seyya has nothing to do with an old acquaintance.

He concluded that his face looked just like someone they knew, but was probably just similar because of his different name and, more importantly, the completely different atmosphere in which he was entangled.

The four who have so concluded return to their usual appearance as if their earlier attitude were a lie. Relieved to see the four older men back as usual, Iban began to respond to Seyya and Melena.

"By the way, what do you mean by requirement?

"I'm talking about the letter that arrived for Master Riger, Master Kevin."

Kevin asks questions about the two as if to push them away. I know you don't have to ask me why you've been visiting, but it's Kevin's good intentions to keep it just for the time being.

If it's true, Serena and I wanted to give it back and drive it back before we put it through this room, but we had no choice but to deal with it because I could feel free to take such an attitude towards the use of the Premium Mage.

Melena, as an example, answered Kevin's bluffing stick question. Melena is also known for her face better than Seyya in this Episcopal Church, and she negotiates well, which is why Seyya asked her in advance.

"You mean that?"

Though the Seven Wise Men knew it, when they had to talk about it, they were disgusted. I was not willing to steam back and talk about it again, even though I had just decided on my future policy earlier. So Kevin communicates his conclusions frankly.

"It's impossible to free two people, Serena-Phoenix and Issi-Absona. Give it up and go home."

They told me to give up and go home, and if I was honest enough to go home, the two wouldn't bother coming to the Episcopal Church or anything. When Melena sees him chilling about Seyya, Seyya nods and takes out one of the letters that are in her chest pocket and offers them to the Seven Wise Men.

"What's this?

It's a letter from the dean of our school, the Arsenian School of Magic.

"Are you still here?"

The Seven Wise Men sigh at the unfolding as expected. The moment Seyya came into the room, the Seven Wise Men saw the Arsenian School of Magic uniform Seyya wore and were sure this would happen.

When Kevin finishes reading the writ from Riger, the contents are communicated to the other Seven Wise Men.

"The Acting Director of the Arsenian School of Magic, Lord Riger-Arunya, in the city of Mole in the Aquaristan region, wants to liberate our students, Serena-Phoenix and Issi-Absona, as Arsenian School of Magic delegates to this year's Leirian Magic Games."

That's what I expected.

"Is that how it came after all? Unfortunately, no matter how many magic school deans you are, you can't ask for it."

"Why, Master Iban? The two of you didn't stick to breaking the law. If so, why should I be held captive?

"It's..."

Iban mumbles over Melena's question. It's not supposed to go out into the dark without permission, but in this case, it doesn't conflict with the law because Basil gave permission on an ad hoc basis.

That's what the Seven Wise Men know, I know. The problem is that Serena and Aisi have become aware of the existence of the outside world, or Dacrea.

The Seven Wise Men want to explain so are the mountains, but there is no way they can explain it.

It's not strange that Melena knows about Dacrea because of Riger's proximity, but Seiya in the Arsenian School of Magic uniform doesn't know about Dacrea, so it's impossible to tell her the real reason, the Seven Wise Men thought.

The Seven Wise Men knew that there were other magicians who went to Dacrya among the Serenas, but they didn't even know the names of those magicians, so they thought Seyya was just a student of the School of Magic.

So the Seven Wise Men have trouble explaining. Melena asked this question after she expected it to happen.

But an unexpected person speaks out there.

"That's a little harsh, isn't it, Melena? As the Lord knows, if we're going to keep talking, we're going to have to catch you now."

"Dear Alfredo..."

It was unexpectedly Alfred who put out a help boat to Iban, who couldn't explain and was caged in his mouth. Despite his insistence that Serena and the others should be released, the word now says the exact opposite.

The other Seven Wise Men were surprised by this, but Alfredo doesn't look concerned.

What Alfredo is saying is, in a way, close to a threat, but there is solid legitimacy there. Little is known in the Kingdom of Leiria, so few know of its existence, but laws exist regarding Dacrea.

The content varies from not telling people about Dacrya in the dark, not spreading it, and if it starts spreading, stopping that information immediately.

In this case, Melena is guilty if Seyya finds out about Dacrya because Seyya is perceived to be someone she doesn't know about Dacrya.

If Seyya says she knew about Dacrya from before on this occasion, this law would not apply and Melena could step in a little more and ask questions.

But then, because there will be no one on this occasion who does not know about Dacrya, it will be possible for the Seven Wise Men to speak the truth, not before the building, and in either case the Serenas will not be released.

That means the first letter won't let Serena and the others go free.

Melena immediately sees about Seyya. Seyya nods against Melena and takes the other remaining letter out of her chest pocket and offers it to the Seven Wise Men.

It was Marc, not Kevin, who read the second script. When Marc finishes reading the script, he tells the other Seven Wise Men what the script is about.

"I demand the liberation of Serena-Phoenix and Issi-Absona in the name of the letter of opinion, the premier magician Riger-Arunya. Because of the unjustified nature of this detention and the large number of problems, in some cases appeal to the Association of Extraordinary Magicians, jointly with the Director of the Arsenian School of Magic. That's why."

"Is that what you're here for?"

You're a pain in the ass.

"Think about it."

The Seven Wise Men admire the way they did not anticipate. Ryger says if we don't let them go, we'll sue the association.

The Association is an institution run by the Extraordinary Mages and independent of the Episcopal Church. For that reason the Episcopal Church is not so easily able to reach out to the association either.

There exist in the association, for example, powers to suppress the Episcopal Church's excessive actions, and if appealed, the association can move.

As a condition, those who can sue are those who are at the top of churches everywhere and who are more than magic gardeners. And if one or more extraordinary magicians agree with that person's appeal, it will be possible.

But send a similar appeal to the Episcopal Church beforehand, only if it is rejected.

In this case, an appeal is filed by Ryger-Arunya, the director of the Arsenian Magic Park, and if the premier magician Ryger-Arunya agrees, it will be established.

The first letter Seyya gave to the Seven Wise Men belonged to the Arsenian Magic Park Director and had already been rejected, so the conditions were right for him to sue.

And then the association will move in one word from Riger.

"It's been a hassle. As for this one, I don't want to do that at this time..."

"What do you want to do? This is pretty nasty, isn't it?

"Will this be established in the first place? You two are the same person, etc."

"I can't say anything because there's no precedent."

The indescribable Seven Wise Men because there is no precedent. But it was also convenient for them. Conrad makes a strong statement.

"I don't need to take it. There's no precedent, even a super magician wouldn't move so easily."

"That may be true, Lord Conrad..."

"Even if they move, it's probably after the Leirian Magic Games. They're not stupid enough to move this time of year either."

"Even if it was, then..."

"All you have to do then is give me the information we have."

Conrad seemed to say with some certainty. Therefore, the other Seven Wise Men gradually turn to the idea that Riger's demands need not be taken.

"Indeed Lord Conrad may be right"

"We seemed too afraid"

"Right."

"Indeed."

"Then it's a decision."

"Yes, I am."

Seven Wise Men nodding one after the other.

"That's the thing. Would you like me to pick it up today?"

Conrad speaks out for Seyya and Melena. There is already no room for negotiation anymore, all that was left for the Sayers is a choice that would have had the worst end: the robbery of the two.

(Damn, what can I do...)

Seyya was still lost, even as she prepared to cultivate the magic of the dark attributes in her body to extinguish the enchanted stone bracelet wrapped around her arms at any time. In the long run, the association may move, but it's unlikely they'll be released.

Even at this moment, it is possible to use dark attribute magic to help Serena and the others, but in that case we can no longer go back.

Says Conrad in addition to the lost seiya.

"Get out of here. I'm not listening to you guys anymore."

"Wait"

"Shut up, kid. You think it's okay for just one magic school student to give a verbal answer to the Seven Wise Men?

From the Seven Wise Men, the discussion about Serena and the others is over. They have an accumulation of other tasks that need to be done, so they have to move quickly.

The Seven Wise Men begin to take their seats one after the other just saying that the story is over. They try to get out of the room to get to their next job.

Seyya gets lost. Should we use magic here, or should we have a dialogue? The conclusion was drawn immediately.

"Wait"

Seyya's chosen path was to negotiate without magic. But that negotiation is already pointless. The Seven Wise Men try to ignore Seyya's words and leave the room intact, but no one moves. No, nobody could move.

"This is..."

"No way......"

"What do you mean!?

"This was then and..."

"What the hell is going on..."

"My body..."

"Doesn't move..."

At the next moment, something restrained me about the Seven Wise Men.
