Falling Mage and the Power of Divergence
Episode 121: Divergent Certification
Conference room on the top floor of the Episcopal Church. The Seven Wise Men, at the head of the Kingdom of Leiria, were divided into two opinions.
Three Conrads, Eladio, and Gardell agree with Alfredo about certifying Seyya as a heretical magician.
I don't know what it means to certify Seyya as a heretical magician, three opposing Iban, Kevin and Marc.
If, in the system of the Episcopal Church, a majority of the seven, or more than four, agree, the proposal goes through. And now, I was just about to go through with heretical certification of Seyya.
"Why, Lord Alfredo? Why the hell would you make him a heretic?
Iban, the oldest opposition, asks Alfredo.
Sure, I was surprised that Seyya detained the Seven Wise Men with mysterious powers earlier, but Iban thinks it's absurd that he did so with heretical certification. That's the same with the opposition Kevin and Marc.
"No matter how much, isn't it tyranny?
"Too selfish"
The dissidents Kevin and Marc also agree with Iban. Since they became the Seven Wise Men, there have been no more tyrannical and selfish cases, which to them only seemed to be a rampage of the Alfreds.
It was Conrad who opened his mouth to three such dissidents.
"This is neither tyranny nor selfishness. If we don't get rid of that boy soon, this country will perish."
"What are you talking about? That's why..."
I tried to say that's not true, Iban, but that's where I realize. Conrad now called Seyya "that boy".
From time to time, poorly spoken Conrad speaks like he looked down on someone comparatively, such as "they," "you," when calling someone else.
But what about now? When Conrad called about Seyya, Iban felt it, as it contained a lot of respect. Iban doesn't know what the hell kind of change that is.
"That boy is dangerous"
"Lord Eladio is right."
Even Eladio and Gardell refer to Seyya as dangerous. But I can't say anything about not telling the Ibans what's at stake and why.
"Request an explanation"
"I'm not convinced as it is"
"Please be convinced"
There is no obligation on the Alfreds to give explanations to the Ibans who demand them. That's what the majority of the Seven Wise Men have already agreed to, so it's already been decided.
The Alfreds wouldn't normally explain it either, but this time it's a different translation.
Alfredo begins to explain to the three opposing people.
"The lords will not have met, but the four of us have met the goddess Leena-Maria"
"Ha..."
All of a sudden, we start talking about the goddess, the Ibans who don't know what to do. I have no choice but to shut up and listen to Alfredo.
"Gardell is different, but Conrad and Eladio, like me, have also worked with goddesses"
Alfredo cuts the story there once and speaks out again to miss the old days.
"At that time, as now, the Seven Wise Men had no power, and I was just saying that they were goddess advisors. Ultimately it was the goddess that made the decision, and we the Seven Wise Men could only stop the goddess when we ran wild.
Even so, there was little we could all disagree and stop the goddess. "
The Episcopal Church when the goddess Leena-Maria was there was basically the opposite of all seven sages when the goddess partitioned and the goddess ran wild, able to force her to stop talking about the goddess.
Other than that, basically, the Seven Wise Men just give their opinions to the Goddess and thoroughly build a better country.
"Such a goddess has a little special power. It's not magic, it's the nature of the goddess by birth, or the name" Holy Voice. "
"'Holy Voice'...?
Iban puts his neck on a name he has never heard of. That was the same with Gardell, who should have met with the goddess.
The only three people who know the name are Alfredo, Conrad and Eladio, who were the Seven Wise Men at the time the Goddess was there.
Alfredo continues his description of The Holy Voice.
"Its power is also the qualities of a champion possessed by those who are born to stand above others. Before that voice, whoever it is, must kneel (kneel first) and obey, a special power"
"No way!?
"Yes."
It was Conrad who had been silent until now that I finally answered Iban who understood. Conrad replaces Alfredo and continues to explain.
"It's what that boy did to us. That is the undisputed 'Holy Voice', the power that only the Goddess was allowed to have"
"But... that's what..."
Iban doesn't have many words of surprise. Gardell says to Iban like that.
"Definitely. I've only had that 'holy voice' once, but it didn't change at all earlier. And what does that boy look like..."
"You don't have to say that, Gardell."
"Lord Alfredo!?
Alfredo stops talking about Gardell, who tried to tell you about Seyya's appearance. It was Alfredo's decision that it was a signal that we didn't have to explain it anymore and that we should not talk about it any more.
"So the Alfreds, that boy, Christina-Saya, has the qualities of a goddess, right?
"Bye. And in front of that boy we're powerless. If that boy seems to be serious, this kingdom of Leiria will come to an end too"
"So what the hell do you think we're gonna do?
Even if Seyya had that power, there's nothing we can do about it at this point. That's why it was heretical certification.
"I guess I'll have to certify myself as a heretic magician and use the Thirteen Apostles to detain me"
"Do that!?
What surprised me about Conrad's words was Kevin, who had been silent until now. He was hardened by the shock, but his thoughts finally recovered.
"If you do that, Rigger, the Association of Extraordinary Mages is set to move."
"I guess. So not right away."
"Say?
Conrad tells the Seven Wise Men what he thinks.
"It is after the Leirian Magic Games that we detain. By then, ask the superior magicians, with the exception of Riger, to explain the situation and agree. Fortunately, Riger should be on his way to the city of Orna with an Arsenian School of Magic escort, so they won't feel the movement"
"Really do that..."
What Conrad is saying is close to a rampage that hasn't taken over the law. But that's all they have left.
"But who the hell do you want me to restrain you? The opponent is a special magician to the opponent with the 'Holy Voice'. In half-breed power…"
"Second, if you call Third and Five and the others, you won't have a problem. And then how do we suppress Eight?
He is involved with the Arsenian School of Magic in order to regain his "Phoenix" in an arbitrary manner. I want to prevent information from being flown from the route I was able to take. "
"Then it will be fine. Eight is home cautious right now. It's not that easy to get information in."
Alfredo is right about Eight. Basil-Aight has been punished with home caution for his arbitrary move during this Mocha-Phoenix rescue.
Although there were no magicians who had consequently been sacrificed, Basil's judgment could not be said to be normal, and now he lived quietly while wearing a magic seal stone at home.
That's why Saiya couldn't reach Basil even when she used the Talking Stone.
"If you don't have an eight, you won't have a problem. If it's true, I'd love to call the Holy Knight, but I guess I can't."
"It's just too much to call the Holy Knight. She is the first in the thirteenth apostolic sequence, exactly the most powerful magician in Leiria, and now at the heart of the Dacrea Empire."
The expression of all tightens to the word Saint Knight.
"That's right. Third in the second, and Five would be enough."
"Right. And then the three of them will do exactly what we say, but it will be all right."
"Now, if you agree with Lord Conrad's operation, raise your hand, please."
When Marc takes a vote, the Seven Wise Men all raise their hands and decide unanimously.
"Now, certify the magician Christina-Saya as a heretical magician and detain him after the Leirian Magic Games."
At this time, an operation was decided that only the Seven Wise Men knew.
But it wasn't the seven, it was the eight who were listening to this operation. A blonde boy with white armor who was in front of the conference room door rears the conference room with a grin. And not one of the Seven Wise Men noticed the boy's presence.
