Falling Mage and the Power of Divergence
Episode 166: Covert Ops
As the invasion of Dacrea continued, Dacrea's troops were also present in the Rock Mountain area.
A rocky mountain area with lots of narrow paths that are surrounded by large rocks and able to snake. An even narrower path among them. As long as there are four large adults lined up beside them, the path is tight, and Daclear's troops are going in three rows of sidelines.
Nearly fifty magicians armed with black clothes, we knew at a glance that they were acting covertly. Dacrea's troops are quite alert to the surroundings as they proceed to avoid finding themselves amongst the rocks.
"No problem"
"All right, let's move on"
Black fighting groups that go between rocks and rocks, but some of them are magicians who are not wearing black fights, and they are remarkable enough for anyone to see that they are different from the miscellaneous soldiers there.
I don't know what the hell their purpose is, but everyone knows they shouldn't be found.
There were three figures of Dacrea's troops, but a girl who captured them in sight like that, who proceeded not to encounter anyone.
The girls are on a cliff that soars to the left and right of the path Dacrea's troops take. The girls stood looking down at the slowly progressing forces of Dacrea.
"Is that the enemy?
That's what I heard, a girl with a knife in her right hand, with black hair tied with ponytail. The uniform that is coming belongs to the Senavian School of Magic, whose name is Lagna.
Lagna didn't know if Daklia's troops were really enemies.
Lagna's home runs a dojo that inherits a genre called Arun Liu Demonic Swordsmanship, which is also famous in the Kingdom of Leiria. There are naturally magicians in that dojo who have experience in action, and Ranya, who has trained in the dojo since she was a little girl, has also seen about them.
Ragna will still remember what it felt like the first time Ragna faced a magician with a sword with experience in action.
Sophisticated aura, wasteless foot carriage, sword screens that make your opponent feel like he will be finished with a single blow, they were enough to remind Ranya of the difference in character.
This is the real magician. There will be no way for Ragna to forget that impression.
But what about Dakulia's troops who are currently going under the eyes of the Rañas? Indeed, its controlled movements and the weapons at its disposal would have assumed a real battle.
However, from the aura and its expression, we could not think of them as enemies who were coming to kill themselves.
There was something that outright denied Lagna's idea of that.
"Yes, that is the enemy we must defeat."
The Lord of Voices is Serena, a girl in an Arsenian School of Magic uniform, with red hair tied to twin tails.
Serena is the only one of the three who has had combat experience with Dacrea, is a magician who knows the horrors of Dacrea and knows what will happen if she gets off guard.
"But isn't it okay if I talk to you?
To say that is Luca, a magician from the Senavian School of Magic with beautiful blonde hair. Luca also couldn't think that Dakulia's troops were enemies, just like Ranya.
"No, you shouldn't be alarmed. This is war."
The look on Serena's face, who told Luca to blame things, is harsh. Because sometimes there was a huge difference in the number of people between Dacrea and ourselves, but more than that, the lack of a sense of crisis between Lagna and Luca was more dangerous.
Probably where they went into battle like this, Ranya and Luca would try not to get into their hands of the opponent and try to put it away with as little injury as possible. But the opponent is Dacrya, not the kind of person that such sweet hands can get through.
But I don't know that. Lagna says swallowing things.
"War... but we have to tie him up because he's an intruder out of his outfit."
"But, Ranya, how do you do captivity?
"Hmm, it's magic, I guess"
Serena says in a harsh voice to the two people who have some unnerving conversation.
"You don't have a choice."
"Ha, what are you talking about?
"Yes, what would you do if you weren't a prisoner?
Seeing two people who couldn't think of more than captivity, Serena thought they were sweet. But I can't deny what they think. Because until then, Serena herself was a person on that side.
If it had been Serena before we went to Dakulia II, we would have said the same thing as the Rañas in this situation. You can't kill people, it's best to solve them peacefully.
Serena had a time to think like that.
But reality isn't that sweet. Serena was so distastefully reminded of the matter in Dakulia II. A collision of mutual interests and interests, where there is no mercy whatsoever.
All that remains is the result of saying whether to live or die rather than victory or defeat. The process leading up to that point doesn't matter.
Victory of what eventually lived.
The idea of capturing an opponent did not arise for Serena, who had gone through such a bloody battle. As much as capturing and increasing the anxiety element, you should lay down your own hands and concentrate at least a little on the fight.
Serena was taught about it in Dakulia II.
That's why Serena punctuates reality while showing her understanding of the two thoughts.
"I hope the captivity succeeds, but it's too risky. There's three of us and fifty of us, and we don't have time to catch each other. Besides, they're here to kill us."
"What are you talking about?
"That's why..."
Two people who don't understand what Serena is saying. But I can't help it. The same student magician says he's going to kill the other guy, so it's decided I don't understand.
Lagna and Luca have not gained enough experience to understand that.
Even if you are a member of last year's Leirian Magic Games winning school, all you are reading is a student magician, a frog in a well.
Serena tells those two clearly.
"I'm not going to say it around. I don't need mercy for them. This is a battle between living and dying, and all we have to do to live is lay our hands on them."
The two of us have been told a brutal reality, but of course we cannot understand Serena's point of view or anything. You two said you couldn't believe what you said about Serena. Stare with a glance.
"You... are crazy..."
"Why can't you just say that?
The two of you stare at Serena as if she were a psychopath. But Serena thinks nothing of those two glances.
What you two think is what you thought before, and perhaps you will never understand what you think. Then I think I'll have to do something about this place on my own, Serena.
Readiness was soon decided.
"Then fine. I'll do it alone here, you guys stay back."
Serena, who said it as if she were going to let go of the two, takes two demonic guns out of her pocket.
"You..."
Take the demon gun out of your nose and look at Serena, and Raña immediately understands Serena is serious. Because Serena's wrapped atmosphere resembled those magicians with real-life experience of Lanya's well-known dojo.
"Then I'll stop you"
"Wow, me too"
Ranya sets up a wind blade circle towards Serena. And a little late Luca also set up to stop Serena.
"Yes."
Serena looks at the look on their faces with a slight grin. Because the two faces feel ready to do what they decide, even if the subject is different. And because that readiness resembles that of magicians with real combat experience.
"But it's too late. Abyss of the Witch of Fire, get out here." Atutos ""
Serena sets up a demonic gun in a very natural motion and pulls the trigger without question. Of course, what was at the end of the demonic gun was far above the two, not Lagna and Luca.
Because Serena exercised her magic in an unawares direction, the two of them can't react immediately.
The red laser shot out of the demonic gun instantly branches apart and increases toward the sky. And at the next moment, all the countless increasing numbers of red lasers refracted, pouring down toward the forces of Dacrea proceeding under the cliff.
"Become!?
"Oh no..."
It was the two of us who noticed Serena's aim late, but it was too late.
Numerous red lasers poke at Dacrea's troops and scorch them.
"" "Gahhhhhh" "
Dacrya magicians screaming at too much pain, but risking their lives in front of one high-fever laser after another. It was no longer a hell of a painting there.
"Why..."
"Why..."
Two people who are unable to utter their words in front of a suddenly born Hell painting.
But Serena hasn't seen those two. The only thing in Serena's sight was the figure of the magicians who prevented 'Atutos'.
