Falling Mage and the Power of Divergence
Episode 176: The Sweetness of Real
When Youre was fighting Fee, Real was also fighting the youth.
Is the age of a young man with dark hair roughly such as in his early twenties? Such a young man, Smell, was fighting Real with his sword in his hand.
The tall sound of Jacqueline echoes and the two swords bump into each other.
"That's pretty good."
"You too."
The two of us have a conversation while we hit each other with a sword. But they were both, obviously, murderous towards their opponents.
Real, who has never killed a man before, killed a man's hand for the first time in this Leirian magic tournament. That too at once.
It was at first that guilt for what I did struck Real, but now I have overcome it. And I was so close to freely releasing myself to kill.
"Well, magic still doesn't work."
Mouth like Smell is in trouble. This battle, Smell exercised his magic against Real many times. But all of it is held back by the barrier of Real's wrapped magic and never reaches Real.
Smell was in trouble with the barrier, no matter how much magic he exercised, with no indication that he could attack.
But it was the same for Real people. No matter how much magic you exercise, the magic of Smell's unleashed water attributes will sedate and the magic will disappear. Real, who was wary of all the dark attributes, was also struggling with the offense.
If those two keep fighting, what happens?
The answer is simple, if magic doesn't work, you can fight with weapons. Thus the two, despite their magicians, were fighting in swordsmanship.
Whenever the two swords bump into each other, the tall sound of Jackin sounds. How many times has that noise been heard, no one knows.
Surprisingly, swordsmanship is good.
"Thanks for that. I wonder if he's a tough educator."
"Well, you're a good educator."
In a battle of equilibrium, the two had come to converse with nature. That is a sign that we recognize each other. Both of them, while enemies, are respectful to their opponents.
You're a good swordsman, aren't you?
"Yeah, you know what I mean"
Smell is praised for his swordsmanship and smiles a little.
"This sword technique was taught to me by childhood friends."
"Childhood tame?"
"Oh, he was about as good as me, and that was strong"
In Smell's brain, a childhood familiar face floats.
"It's like we're never gonna see each other again."
"Oh, I'll never see you again."
"What do you mean?
"He's dead. About three years ago."
"Right."
Real feels like he's heard something he shouldn't have heard, and his heart just gets a little heavier. But I don't apologize.
If you apologize to Smell, the enemy, that means you're no longer willing to fight. Only Real and Smell are enemies. It wasn't a good relationship to get used to.
But it is also true that we are attacking each other. With balanced strength, the battle doesn't move so easily.
"Well, what do we do"
Smell thinks about Real, who lays down his sword. If you are currently taking advantage of the battle, it is real with a slight difference.
Real had something that wasn't in Smell. It is a barrier of magic that is being created unconsciously.
With an overwhelming amount of magic, Real has barriers that are not easily broken by drooling its magic all the time. And where that barrier is broken, new magic is soon supplied, and the barrier is created again.
In other words, in order to defeat Real, you need to break the barrier while simultaneously adding a series of attacks as they are.
In contrast to such Real, Smell was preventing Real's magic by using the magic of water attributes. In Tace's case, however, he is unconscious when using magic. Under firm will, the magic is manipulated.
It sounds good to say that you have control of magic, but conversely, if you get stuck with an accident, you can't use magic.
And if magic cannot be used, the magic of Real will inevitably strike about Smell.
This was the slightest difference between Smell and Real.
However, there is also something in Smell's favour.
That's experience in battle. As far as Smell felt, Real isn't used to fighting. It is true that there are skills in action based on regular training and training.
But once it's on the battlefield, no matter how skilled it may be, it's a routine tea meal, such as losing an understatement. What's there is the difference in experience with the actual battle.
In a life-threatening battle, the most important thing is to do your best to survive. Whether you win a battle or lose your life, it's a defeat. On the contrary, even if you lose in battle, if you survive, it's a fine victory.
On the battlefield, how to break it off was important.
And Smell has a better advantage in that respect.
Smell thinks with a look at Real. How can I beat Real? But in the worst case scenario, I also think about running away. The answer was immediately decided.
"You can get out of the water shelter. Spirit, now is the time to manifest it in my sword." Mizudori "
Suddenly exercised magic Smell. And one after the other from the blue demonic squares that Smell had deployed, the little birds appeared.
Little birds gliding through the air with patties and wings. If you look closely, all the little birds' bodies were made of water. But the little birds made of water, they're just flying through the sky, and they don't attack Real.
To those little birds, Real felt distrustful.
"What are you going to do?
"Come on, I wonder what"
The look on Smell's face made me feel confident. I mean, Smell's up to something. Real thought so.
But Real has no idea what Smell's intentions are. Waterfowl surrounds Real who is desperate to figure out what the hell he's thinking.
But the little bird does nothing, so Real leaves it alone. This was the difference in experience in action.
If this had been a seiya or yua who had felt death up close, he would have taken immediate measures against the little bird. Because there's more to it than just the magic they've exercised.
But Real, with little experience in action, ignored the little birds. Why, because it hasn't done me any harm. But more than that, because the appearance of the little bird was not perceived as a threat.
Still a smell that expands the demon squares to produce little birds. One small bird after another moves around the Real. If you noticed, the number was nearly five hundred.
So Smell erases the demon squares and holds the sword again.
"How's that, pretty, huh?
"What the hell are you doing?"
Real showing only a little frustration with Smell's words. That is a frustration not usually seen by Real.
"No, I thought I'd change my mind a little bit."
"Don't be ridiculous!
So for the first time, Real roughs up his voice. Never during the Senavian School of Magic era, such as Real roughing up his voice. Real is always cool and keeps calm. Sometimes they get hot in battles, but still they rarely expose their anger.
But Real roughed up his voice.
This is what Smell is after. A little bird running through the air, this little bird was illusionary magic.
No matter how many magic barriers you say there are, it's against the attack. Nothing like sunglasses to protect your vision. In other words, the barriers cannot prevent magic coming in from sight or hearing.
This is how Smell cast a faint illusion on Real, causing him to lose his cool.
And Smell's attack, that wasn't the end of it.
"Not yet, blossom"
Shortly after Smell's words, the little birds who were running through the air around Real instantly change their appearance. And what appeared was a mass of oval water with a tipped tip.
"Go"
"What!?
And at the next moment, nearly five hundred chunks of water fly towards Real simultaneously.
"Damn, light protection." Shining Wall "
"No use."
Real tried to deploy the "Shining Wall," but the expanded magic formation was smashed by water. And as it was, five hundred chunks of water struck the Real.
"Knock..."
A chunk of water that hits the Real one after the other. But Real doesn't have a scratch. That should be it too, because there is a barrier to magic.
"Well, what do you say?"
In the end, the chunks of water never reached Real. All of the lumps of water were inhibited by Real's unconscious barrier of magic.
"Sweet."
I still didn't think I had enough experience in action, Smell. Because Smell's aim was this moment from the beginning. A magic barrier that prevented a chunk of water, but the damage is considerable, and part of it is collapsing.
"Let's go."
"What!?
Packing his distance from Real in a moment of Smell, he slipped his sword into the collapsing barrier area. Real with a stunned look at Smell's behavior.
But Smell doesn't care. Smell goes straight to Real, who is inside the barrier, and uses the swordsmanship he taught from childhood training.
It seemed as if this would determine Smell's victory. But just before that, words that Real accidentally said stopped Smell's sword.
"This is Miko's..."
"What!?
The word Mico unexpectedly uttered. To the words, Smell's body stiffened in an instant.
