Falling Mage and the Power of Divergence

Episode 194: Upcoming Plans

The Sayers, who had revealed the night in the dark realm, were starting to move again. The sun is currently rising from the horizon, and it is still early in the morning, but the expression on both of them is clear because they went to bed early last night.

In the end, Seyya finished preaching Dalta last night. D'Arta knew what Seyya was trying to say, so Seyya's sermon ended earlier than expected, and then she had dinner and went to bed.

Thus the two of them were resuming their dark realm movements.

"Hey, what are we going to do?

As Seiya concentrates on driving, Dalta inadvertently asks. Dalta's questions are abstract, but Seiya understands what Dalta wants to hear and starts talking about her upcoming plans.

"We'll head to Daklia Fourth District first"

"Fourth Ward? Not the Empire?

D'Arta, who has knowledge of Dacrya, hears the statement of Seyya's Fourth District and puts his neck up. It is the Dacrya Empire that has the Saint Knight Arthur with whom the two seek contact, and he is not in the Fourth District of Dacrya.

Seiya will explain in detail to Dalta, who has his neck covered.

"That's right. Where we are now headed for the Empire, it's not that easy to get inside. Because we don't have an identity in Dacrea."

The Seyyas are Leirian magicians, not Dacrya magicians. So naturally, if you try to get Dacrea's into the center of that too, you're gonna need ID. But the Seyyas don't have the identity to prove it in Dacrya.

Therefore, it is the mountain of Sekiyama that will be driven back or restrained as it continues towards the Dakhlea Empire. There is also the option of fighting, but the task of the Seyyas is to make contact with the infiltrating Holy Knight, not to fight.

There is also the option of pretending to be an accident, like when you enter the Dacrea II District, but it probably doesn't pass in the Dacrea Empire. Imperial security is strict and can be thoroughly investigated, even if you say it was in an accident.

In other words, to enter the Dacrya Empire without disturbance, you will need your identity in Dacrya.

But I found out that you need an identity. Dalta, but I don't see why it's Dacrea Fourth District.

"Why the Fourth Ward?

"That's just because the Fourth Ward is on the road to the Empire. Anywhere but the Empire."

The reason Seyya chose District IV was simply because she was on her way to the Dacrya Empire. In the first place, the position of the Dacrea Empire is about a week's walk northeast from the Episcopal Church in the Kingdom of Leiria with a demonic horse. This is a place quite deep even in the dark.

And the Dakulia Fourth District, which the Seyyas first aspire to, is about five days away from the Episcopal Church, northeast with a demonic horse. In other words, Dakulia Fourth District is just on the road when the Seyyas return to the Dakulia Empire, even within the Kingdom of Leiria, to the west.

By the way, Dacrea II is about five days away from the Episcopal Church with a demonic horse northwest.

We know why we're going for Dacrea Fourth District, D'Arta. But I'm wondering how you're gonna get an identity next.

"But how do you get an identity?

D'Arta's questions are the best. Getting an identity is normal but hard, not to mention the Seyyas being Leirian people. It is decided that it is not so easy to get an identity etc.

"Oh, it's gonna be an adventurer"

"Adventurer?

D'Arta hears the word adventurer and shakes his neck again. But for D'Arta, who lives in Leiria, where the concept of adventurer does not exist, there would be no choice but to say something that doesn't sound familiar.

The magician system in the Kingdom of Leiria is divided into each church, and each clan, with the Episcopal Church at the top, and any magician is bound to belong to some classification.

Seyya, for example, would belong to the Christian family, as well as to the Church of Aquaristan and to the Association of Extraordinary Mages.

In the case of D'Arta, he was affiliated with the Episcopal Church, but will now belong to the Christian family, the clan of Seyya.

Thus, magicians in the kingdom of Leiria are bound to belong to some clan, or public authority. And each clan finds a request in the church to do their job and make a living. Mages who are not part of the clan get paid for doing public sector work.

This is how the magicians of the Kingdom of Leiria were made up.

But of course this common sense doesn't work in the Dacrya Great Empire, where the Seyyas are headed. Because concepts such as the family of magicians do not exist in the first place.

In Dacrya, the greatest is the presence known as the Great Demon King Lucifer. Lucifer is the demon king who manages the first district of the seven under the umbrella of the Dacrea Empire, and at the same time the Dacrea Empire.

Its power runs through one head more than the rest of the demon kings, and it is precisely what dominates the Dacrea Great Empire.

And the magicians gathered under the Great Demon King Lucifer are the Demon Kings. Each of the demon kings has his own ruling land, and they are from Dacrya II to VII.

That said, the Demon King, who currently governs Dakulia II, is absent by Seyya. Also, Lucifer, who is supposed to rule the Dacrea Great Empire, is a tentative figure.

Satan, who now governs the three districts of Dacrea, exceptionally also governs the Dacrea Empire and the first district. But it would not be acceptable for the Demon King's chair to open, let alone unheard of if there were two empty seats. Due to circumstances around here, the Detodelions are moving arbitrarily.

Thus seven demon kings reign at the top of Dacrya, and it is the Great Empire of Dacrya that has its men's magicians under each demon king's command.

But in the meantime, there were magicians who were not under the command of the demon kings. Yes, that's the adventurer. Adventurers are mostly magicians, and there are no restrictions on their behavior.

There is only one job for the adventurers. Just do the request.

The adventurers work around the districts, while others settle in and do their requests. And what we have in common with them is that they make a living by doing requests.

At first glance this system resembles that of the Leirian clan, but it is actually quite different. Due to the faint idea of a clan in the first place in Dacrea, we may also fight to have the blood that was for the request connected.

That is notable, especially at the mercenary's request. Mercenary requests are basically a lot of life-threatening battles, and naturally they can die. Blood-connected magicians often fight only for such requests.

No matter how much blood is connected, we fight each other for real because it's work, and no emotions should exist there. That is the Great Empire of Dacrea.

And each of Dacrea's adventurers has a rank, with the highest being SS rank and the lowest being F-rank. Some SSS ranked adventurers in the past, but now the SS rank is the best.

In terms of power relations, if we become S-ranked, we will have the same power as the Demon Kings, superior in A-rank and superior in B-rank. The Gris Phone that Seyya once defeated in Daklia II is an A-rank, or super-class magician.

As mentioned above, in Dacrya, the magicians' choice is to be under the command of the Demon King or to become adventurers.

"I think adventurers are the easiest"

"Oh well."

Seiya gave Dalta a light explanation of Dacrya and told her thoughts. D'Arta nods quickly, as there is no mistake in the choice of Saiya.

It's pretty hard for the Seyyas, the Leirian people, to get an identity in Dacrya. But once you've become an adventurer, it's a world determined by strength. And Seyya's strength is the Demon King class, not so easy to lose, etc.

"Whoa, there you are."

"That's Dacrya..."

"That's right. Well, I know it's a lot of surprises, but don't be too conspicuous."

"Hey, I'm not a kid! It's okay -"

"Right."

On the sixth day after Sayyah and his men left the Episcopal Church, they finally set foot in the land of Dacrya.
