Falling Mage and the Power of Divergence

Episode 196: Reluctance, Pre-Construction and Authenticity

When the sun rose highest, the figure of the Seyyas was in a restaurant in the Fourth District of Daklia. Time was just at lunch, and they were having lunch at the restaurant.

"Delicious, you're no different than Leiria."

"Well, even when it comes to Dacrea, we're the same person."

Saiya says with a laugh at D'Arta's thoughts.

"And this gratin? Really yummy."

"Right. Even Leiria wants to eat."

What you two are currently eating is a dish called Gratin. A dish where the pasta is cylindrical, mixed with white sauce and cooked with cheese on top. It was a dish not found in the Kingdom of Leiria, and the two of them were tongue-in-cheek at the gratin they saw for the first time.

"Phew Phew, this is really good"

Apparently D'Arta likes Gratin a lot and has been eating really happy since earlier. Looking at Dalta like that, the restaurant employees also seem happy.

And when one paragraph arrives for lunch, Seyya confirms her plans for the future while she eats dessert.

"Coming up, but first I'm gonna go to the guild and get something I can ID"

"That means you're gonna be an adventurer, right?

"Well, yeah."

D'Arta is right, the Seyyas need to be adventurers from now on and gain an identity in Dacrya. But when you say you're going to be an adventurer, it's not that easy.

To be an adventurer, you have the right exams.

"There you go, D'Arta. You want to be an adventurer?

"What do you mean?

D'Arta necks Seyya's words. What Seyya's trying to say is, will D'Arta be an adventurer too?

The purpose of the two is to gain an identity in Dacrea, not to become adventurers. If Seyya gets the title of Adventurer, she doesn't have to force it and Dalta gets the title of Adventurer.

Representatives are mostly the only ones to be identified when travelling between Dacreas. Very occasionally, the companion may also be checked, but it is not that strict. Because if the delegates are firm, the entourage is not suspicious either.

In other words, in conclusion, if either Seyya or D'Arta becomes an adventurer, you don't have to force them to become both adventurers.

Seyya found out about it in the Inn brochure and asked Dalta.

"Which means I don't have to force you to be an adventurer."

"Really?

"Oh, so choose who you like"

D'Arta, forced to make a choice and troubled by roaring.

"Um, um, um..."

"You don't have to worry so much, do you?

Seeing the desperately troubled Dalta, Seiya asks in confusion. I never thought that Dalta would bother me so much, Seiya.

"Is that money okay?

"What?"

I'm surprised Saiya suddenly came out talking about money. In response to such a seiya, D'Arta listens in a whisper.

"So we're not alone because we don't have enough money to be adventurers, or something like that?

"What's that?

"Yeah, 'cause I suddenly ask that..."

For some reason, the two of us don't subtly engage in conversation. Seiya manages to try to understand what Dalta is saying.

"Money's no problem."

"Really?

"Oh."

Seyya is right, the Seyyas are not in trouble for money. A virtual grella previously obtained by Seyya by selling the Grenalion in Dakulia II remains in the IC gator. That's pretty good too.

That's why you two don't have to worry about money.

"Oh well. Mm-hmm."

I hear the money is fine and Dalta starts worrying again. Seeing Dalta like that, Seiya realizes there is.

"Maybe you're reluctant?

"What!?

"I knew you were reluctant"

Seeing D'Arta, Seiya thought D'Arta was reluctant. Why did you think that, because Dalta's appearance now resembled that of the old Seiya? The unfamiliar Seyya was protected by Edward at the age of ten. And we started living together.

At first, naturally, there was a wall between them, and Seyya was reluctant against Edward as well. But it was obvious from an adult's point of view, such as the reluctance of a ten-year-old, and Seyya's reluctance was immediately discerned by Edward.

And Edward said to Seyya, "You don't have to shy away, because you're family." But naturally Seyya's reluctance does not disappear at first, and there are feathers between them.

In the end, with each passing of time, the two had become like a true family, and Seyya's reluctance had disappeared. And Dalta's attitude today was similar to Seyya's attitude at the time.

Darta, bewildered to say in her own heart.

"Because I'm just a servant, and I can't let you spend that much money. Besides, if that's the money you're not making yourself, it's better."

"Pfft."

Dalta spoke of her position with a serious look and how she should be, but Seiya blows on. Because the words of Dalta today were almost with those of Saiya in the old days.

"Why are you laughing!?

"Sorry, you looked too much like me. And I don't have to shy away because I'm a servant. If I don't think of D'Arta as just a servant, I don't have the idea of mutual money. Besides, we're on a mission right now. Don't be shy."

Saiya told him what she thought. But Seyya hasn't noticed. That word is just like Edward's.

The words Edward said to Seyya, by the way,

"You don't have to shy away just because you're here. If I don't think of Saiya as just a place to live, I don't have the idea of mutual money. Besides, we're a family now living together. You don't have to be shy, Seyya."

is.

Dalta, hearing Saiya's words, says with a troubled look.

"That's not why. I am a person of the Episcopal Church, and Seyya is a premier magician. I'm an Episcopal Church, and Seyya belongs to a different Society of Extraordinary Mages."

D'Arta talks desperately, but what D'Arta is saying is wrong.

"Dalta, you're not from the Episcopal Church anymore, are you?

"Huh?"

In response to Saiya's point, Dalta raises an adorable voice.

"From the moment you become a servant of the Extraordinary Mage, your affiliation becomes a clan of Extraordinary Mages from the Episcopal Church, and the Episcopal Church becomes irrelevant."

"Really!?

I heard it aloud about it, D'Arta. The guests around look at the two tables wonderfully, but Seiya continues the conversation without worrying.

"Oh, I mean, you're a Christian now, to be exact. If you're realistic, you're from the Arunya family."

"I didn't know..."

"Well, that's the thing, so you don't have to shy away"

Seyya's allegations are true, and D'Arta is already a Arunya family person. But still, D'Arta couldn't back down.

"Then I am Seyya's tool. You can't let them spend money on tools."

"You... you stink..."

Listening to D'Arta's claims, Seiya gives a troubled look. Indeed, in the public view, servants who can be used for premium magicians will look like slaves, or tools. Not to mention because he has a collar around his neck.

But if Seiya doesn't even think of Dalta as a tool, she doesn't think he's a slave either. And D'Arta herself didn't think about it, but rather now she was being mean.

I'll definitely pass my claim, Dalta was so mean.

In response to such a dalta, Seiya says with a slight tone of voice down.

"Well, are you my tool?"

"Heh? Uh-huh, yeah, I am."

Dalta is bewildered by the sudden change in the atmosphere of Seyya, but Seyya continues the conversation.

"Then it's the Lord's job to maintain the tools. It is the Lord's job to enhance the feelings of the tool so that the tool works a little better. You can't keep me away from tools. If you do that, your tools will be dull."

"Ugh..."

D'Arta with a look like that coming or something. Leaving aside the way Seyya said it, the muscles are through. D'Arta felt herself being pushed.

"D'Arta, if you don't have to shy away, you don't have to take care of pre-construction. We're buddies now, not up and down. So let me know what you really mean."

"Ugh..."

D'Arta is stuck in words, stared at by the seriousness of Seyya. I tried to argue with him somehow, but Seyya's eyes don't try to forgive him for lying.

"Ugh..."

"Dalta, let me hear the truth"

"Ugh, cheating..."

"It doesn't matter if you cheat, if you can hear what Dalta really means"

Before Seyya's sincere obsession, D'Arta's face is dyed red only with heart.

"Dalta?"

"…………………………………… I want to do it"

"Okay, okay."

Hearing what Dalta really means, Seyya smiles slightly.

"No more cheating."

"Hmm."

Darta leaning down blushing and Seiya smiling when she sees Darta like that.

Thus the two moved to become adventurers.
