Falling Mage and the Power of Divergence

Episode 211: Beware of asking too much

When the sun set completely on the horizon, the Seyyas were already not in front of the fountain square. The place where the two of us are currently located is a dining room just a short walk from Fountain Square.

The atmosphere inside is lively when it comes to restaurants, and there would be more expressions like mass dining halls. However, its interior is hardly different from that of a restaurant, so it is indistinguishable only at first glance.

Furthermore, the atmosphere in the store resembles that of a dining place that was interior within the Fourth District of Dacrea.

"I don't need it."

As soon as the two enter the store, an employee man comes to the two.

"How many people?"

"Two, sir."

"Yes, I did. Counter seats can guide you right away."

"What about the table seats?

"Excuse me, it's just buried right now, and if you wait long enough, I can show you around"

"Then take the counter seat"

"Yes, I did. This way, please."

The two are guided by employees and get to the counter seat behind the store. The kitchen is visible from the counter seat and about ten employees are busy cooking in the kitchen.

Of the fifteen seated counters, the Sayers lowered their hips from left to second and third.

"Call me as soon as you have an order"

The employee said so and went far from the counter seat, turning to entertaining other guests.

The two left over look at the many dishes on the wall and decide what they want to eat.

"Um, I don't know which one."

"Don't ask too much of me."

"It's okay, it's okay."

Seiya gives a slightly disturbing look to Dalta, who sees the menu affixed to the wall with some dangerous eyes. For some reason, D'Arta has been in a good mood since earlier, and he's likely to ask for all the menus as he is.

"That's quite a lot. Have you made up your mind yet, Seyya?

"Me? I'm going to ask for some stew and bread with a lot of bird meat."

"Stew... that's hard to throw away too..."

Dalta takes the menu thing the most seriously Seiya has ever seen. Apparently, D'Arta is quite lost.

"Hmm, good stew, but also omelet rice... and beef stew made from beef muscle..."

Seiya gives Dalta such a look as, oh man, hard to decide, and calls the employees as they are.

Excuse me.

"Yes, are you ready to order?"

"Eh, Seiya, I haven't."

Dalta confused that Seiya called an employee, but Seiya doesn't care to proceed with the order.

"That stew and the omelet, the beef stew, and..."

When Saiya finishes a single order, the employee returns to the kitchen.

Then Dalta immediately asked Seiya.

"Aren't you supposed to ask too much?

D'Arta was right, Seyya said you can't ask too much. And only three minutes ago.

So D'Arta wondered about Seiya, who placed the order at once.

"That's because I was lost and couldn't quite decide. For once, I had it all reduced, so I don't have a quantitative problem."

"Oh, yeah."

D'Arta nods with a face that doesn't float anywhere.

Sure, the muscle goes through what Saiya is saying, but I thought it was different from the usual Saiya somewhere, D'Arta. And the feeling was right.

Saiya's consciousness is not for Dalta, even though she said she was in conversation with Dalta now. If I were to be precise, I wasn't vigilant around and focused on my conversation with Dalta.

Because Seyya felt a disturbing gaze, only for a moment. That was only a moment. I don't know where they saw it from or who was watching it again, but the gaze I felt was uncomfortable.

A gaze that looks over as if to taste the Saiya thing around. I can't say that's a favorable gaze, no matter what you think. But the gaze disappeared in an instant, and now it is not.

But still wondering, Seiya wanted to leave this store and return to the inn as soon as possible. That's why I asked for Dalta's share all at once, not sure what to ask for, which is troubling.

(And now my gaze...... no way......)

Seyya waited in her heart for her order, wondering no way.

And fifteen minutes for the two of them to wait, all the things that they had asked for were in place.

"Is that all you want to order?

"Yes, no problem"

When Saiya answers, the employee leaves the counter.

"Wow, that looks delicious!

"Do you want some?"

"Yeah."

There are ten dishes in total carried over the counter for the two of us, all of which smell delicious.

"" I'll have it!

The two people who greet each other carry their spoons in their mouths with one hand.

First, Seiya spoons a stew with plenty of chicken, and carries it straight to her mouth. Then, the moment it was contained in his mouth, a hint of sweetness and a mellow touch of tongue surrounded Seyya's mouth, roaring Seyya's tongue.

"That's good."

"Really? This one's delicious too."

That's what D'Arta says, carrying the beef stew into his mouth one after the other. Dalta's requested beef stew tastes like beef muscle every time she puts it in her mouth as if the cow were rampaging around in her mouth, and this one is delicious.

And the two then flattened the dish at a fair high pace.

Even so, the pace of eating two dishes slows down instantly after twenty minutes because there were still many dishes I asked for. But you can't leave them, so the two desperately move their spoons and forks.

That was the time. A new guest appears next to the seat at the far end of the counter, or Saiya.

"Come on."

When the neighbor gets to his seat, he looks over at the menu affixed to the wall. Seiya has been watching such guests.

Nothing. Seiya wouldn't mind if the guests who sat next to her were here. But the customer was unsuitable for the occasion somewhere.

First of all, its appearance. In short, young, no, too young. If you were to say years, you would be a girl of thirteen or less. But despite its young appearance, the surrounding atmosphere feels somewhere grown-up and noble.

If you were to speak plainly of the guest, you would feel like a girl, noble woman in it, etc.

But that wasn't the only thing that surprised Seyya.

"Full of barley for now"

"Yes, sir."

The girl asked for barley, or liquor, without hesitation. In Leiria, drinking alcoholic beverages begins at the age of eighteen. I don't know the rules in Dacrea, but if it's developing so much, it'll feel just like Leiria.

But I don't see how the girl in front of me would look at a thirteen-year-old girl, whose flesh could stand alcohol.

That's why Seiya runs with her mouth even though she thinks it's a favor.

"I'm not impressed with booze that year."

"Ahem? Me?"

Suddenly the girl replies with a frown whispering that Seiya spoke to her.

"That's right. You're only about ten years old, and booze is bad for you."

"Oh, my God, I'm twenty-seven."

"Huh?"

"So twenty-seven."

Seiya flatters at answers beyond understanding.

"Twenty-seven? Old?"

"Oh yeah. I'm twenty-seven."

"Become..."

I had no words for much, Saiya, but soon I apologize for treating myself with disrespect.

"I'm sorry about that. I thought I was about thirteen."

"Well, it's not bad to be seen young, so don't worry about it"

That's what the girl says, she wants to put her shoulder on Seyya.

"And if you do, don't eat well."

"Um, oh, this? Actually, I asked too much."

Seiya laughs bitterly when she sees the dishes arranged on the counter. Then the girl said.

"Then can you give me that untouched curry? I can't wait any longer, I'll pay for it."

Suddenly said proposal, but the proposal was delightful to Seyya. To be clear, Seyya's stomach is already at its limit. I don't even feel like I'm here any more. Not to mention curry for one serving, etc.

"Oh happy. I'd love it if you could eat it. And then the money is fine."

"No, you can't do that, can you?

"I'm fine. Speaking of old times, I've been on track and asking too much. This one's bad. Even curries are better served."

"Hmm..."

Girl thinking about something in words to Saiya.

"Well, sweeten to your words, then."

"Oh."

The girl grins when Seyya hands over the curry. And when he saw the grin, he thought Seyya was young.
