Falling Mage and the Power of Divergence
Episode 221: The Unrest of Leiria (below)
The air changed in an instant. That was not an analogy, and the two of us felt that the air that really engulfed the fourth floor of the Episcopal Church had changed.
It was as if the air itself was nervous, gravity felt heavier than usual, temperatures that seemed only to have dropped in the mind, and the two of them quickly understood that all of them had been caused by Silforno.
"Knock..."
But even if I wanted to say something, my mouth wouldn't move. Every time I breathe, my lungs tremble and gradually blunt the movement in my body. It seemed as if it was cured all over the body.
In such a situation, Real tried to manipulate magic to open it up somehow, but he couldn't manipulate magic successfully. No, I couldn't feel the magic in the first place. For Real, who has manipulated so much magic so far, you've never wanted to feel more magical than you do today.
It was the same with Basil that he couldn't feel the magic, he managed to look for a way to open it, but he didn't have any measures or anything to open up this situation to him.
The more time passes, the rougher the two of us breathe.
In their increasingly rough breaths, they once again think of the sequential second-place power of the Thirteenth Apostle of the Episcopal Church.
Although Real and Basil are inferior to Silforno in strength, they are nevertheless magicians who, like Silforno, represent this country. But even such magicians are reminded of their powerlessness without the art of exchange if they deal with the second place in sequence.
Exactly a monster, the two of them thought so when they saw about Silforno. And at the same time, I had no choice but to despair, thinking of Seyya, who would be dealing with a magician even stronger than this monster, Leiria's most powerful magician.
Even Silforo, second in the Thirteenth Apostolic Sequence, could not imagine how powerful Arthur-One, the first in the Thirteenth Apostolic Sequence, who goes above her even more, was.
And that also means I couldn't imagine the sight of Seyya surviving against Arthur.
The two of them have yet to meet Arthur. But as far as the rumors are concerned, the Seven Wise Men will absolutely obey what they say and will not show sympathy or compassion for whoever they are, but will carry out their task. And the mandate given is absolutely fulfilled. You will never fail. Exactly the woman who will not fail.
There was no way Arthur could have missed such things as Saiya, who had the dark attributes that told the Seven Wise Men, which would also have a great impact on Leiria's future.
And the Seven Wise Men, who knew about it, informed Seyya's appointment of a special magician for this timing, and summoned Silforno to the Episcopal Church in the name of the interim report.
In other words, the Seven Wise Men are that the Episcopal Church is seriously trying to erase the matter of Seyya.
"" Ku...... "
Two people with immobile bodies, staring at Silforno. But when I did that, there was no way I could move a body that didn't move.
There is no longer any help to crack this situation down on Real and Basil. Instead of being able to fathom Silforno with both of their strengths, they couldn't disturb her breathing.
And when they were about to give up, there was a man's voice unexpectedly. And at about the same time, the air that was holding them was unraveled.
"" Storm of the Water ""
The voice of a man who sounded suddenly. And with that voice the water's waves flying towards Silforno. As soon as Silforo saw the sight, he deployed his armor magic.
"Spread out." Wind Wall ""
The wind wall unfolded with the chant protects Silforno. But because Silforo was in a moment's time, but focused on exercising magic, the air that was holding Real and Basil in captivity is solved.
"What's that?"
And when he saw that Basil had come of the water, there were two magicians.
"Sounds pretty pinchy, Basil"
I'm here to help.
"You guys..."
There were two magicians of the same generation as Basil, with the same Episcopal thirteenth apostolic title as Basil. He was Weiss-Tuerb, twelfth in the thirteenth apostolic sequence, and Nana-Sartin, thirteenth in the sequence.
When they stand in front of the two to protect the basils, they briefly tell them what to do.
"You're going to help that boy anyway."
"We'll hold this place back, so go quickly."
"What do you mean?"
Basil bewildered by sudden events. Weiss and Nana belong to the same Episcopal Church as Basil, but now the Basil's position is to rebel against the Episcopal Church. Nonetheless, the two say they will cooperate with the Basils. In other words, it was synonymous with their rebellion against the Episcopal Church as well.
Of course the Weiss know about that. And knowing that, he moved on to action.
"We don't know the details. But that boy is the hero who saved Leiria. It must not be erased solely by ecclesiastical circumstances."
"That's right. We're doing it for our justice. So go quickly."
"You guys..."
That's what Weiss and Nana say, they attack Silforo with their weapons. But Silforo also prevents the two of them from attacking with a clubbing sword in his right hand.
"Go quickly! I can't buy that much time."
"Please. Help that boy."
Two people desperately holding back about Silforno. Look at those two, Basil gets lost. Should we keep going or not? But Real tells Basil.
"Let's go. Are you going to waste those two's readiness?"
Real, who spoke to Basil with such a strong expression that he did not think he had previously exposed Silforo to helplessness. Seeing that face, Basil also decided to be ready.
"Okay. I'm sorry about both of you."
"I'll go first"
I'll take care of it.
"Definitely listen and bring him back."
"" Oh. "
Real and Basil disappeared from the fourth floor as soon as they ran past the side of Silforno. And when he confirms that he can no longer see the two of them, Weiss asks, staring at Silforno.
"What are you going to do?
"What do you mean?
"Why did you let those two go?"
What Weiss is trying to say is why Silforno missed out on the two of us.
Earlier offenses have shown that Wise's strength does not extend far to Silforno. The magic exercised earlier by Weiss is Weiss' knitted advanced magic, but Silforno prevented the magic with elementary magic. The difference in strength between the two is evident from this.
And if you think about the difference in strength between the two, there's no way the Reals could do anything about it, no matter how much Nana was there. Besides, it's easy to suppress two less sequential people than Basil if you manipulate the air as you did earlier when you prevented Wise's magic.
But Silforno didn't.
That means Silforno was willing to miss the Reals from the start. But Wise had no idea why Silforno, the second in the sequence of the Thirteenth Apostle, would do such a thing.
"Come on, maybe it's because there didn't happen to be any magic. And it's tough on me to deal with the Thirteen Apostles at the same time."
"So you think I missed you two?
"That's what you're gonna do."
The moment Silforo says so and smiles slightly, the air changes again. And then something wraps around the two of us, holding them back.
"I'm sorry, it's no use any more."
That's what Silforno says to untie the two of us. At this point, the Weiss, who let the Basils escape, have no more purpose to rival Silforo. So the two of them put away their weapons.
"You're not motivated anymore, are you?
"Yes."
"Yes, but you'll be punished."
"Yes......"
He stuck his sword against his boss. Naturally.
The two breathing what punishment is coming.
"Then why don't I ask you to use it? One toward the city of Mole in Aquaristan and the other toward the city of Orna in Windistan."
But surprisingly, the punishment Silforno spoke of was surprisingly light.
