Falling Mage and the Power of Divergence

Episode 223: The Great Demon King's Hall (top)

The place was at the heart of the Dacrea Empire, where there was a large building. The number of floors is about eight and the height that seems to be low in the center of Dacrea, but the structure of the building feels quite heavy for that matter.

Plus there's a big line of fences around, and it'll be hard to get inside the building. Assuming you climbed the fence and broke into the premises, there is a considerable distance by the building and the enemy finds you first.

It was here, in the Hall of the Great Demon King, ruled by Gilanel-Satan, who was making such a creation.

In the meantime, the Seyyas were coming in front of the front door of its Great Demon King's Hall. Naturally there's a gatekeeper there, but I'm not on guard because the Sayers still look like children, just because I think they're tourists. Since the Great Demon King's Hall was considered one of the tourist attractions within Dacrya, people sometimes stop at the front door from day to day.

That's why the gatekeeper was utterly alert. Plus the preconceived notion that it's not a bad idea, such as the ignorant punching the Great Demon King's Hall from the front, which has the top of this country, was further diluting their guard.

"Are you sure you want to do this?

"What, did you notice that?

"No, not like that..."

Seiya answers in a modest tone, looking around.

Because there are a lot of ordinary people around the Saiyas, and they still have casual routines. They had no idea that the Saiyas would be boarding the Great Demon King's Hall from now on, and had always stayed on track.

Seyya was guilty of breaking their routine.

But Arthur, who understood what Seyya was thinking, smiled a little and told Seyya.

"The emperor is sweet."

"That's not what..."

Saiya, who is told to be gentle toward face to face and shy.

"But I'm fine. I can reach Gilanel without a wave."

"Is that possible?

Seiya questioning Arthur's words. No matter how much Arthur is Leiria's most powerful magician, it's just impossible to get to the Great Demon King without a wave of wind, Seyya thought. Not many, it is decided that we may enter into battle.

That's what Seyya thought. So says Arthur.

"No problem. And I don't need a hand."

That is how Arthur grabs the holy sword he receives from Seyya and pulls it out quietly.

As the rusty fullness begins to show up, the gatekeepers just notice the discomfort and approach Arthur. But they know the sword in Arthur's hand is rusted, or somewhere else they're still less alert.

Against them like that, Arthur swings his sword through without question.

Bun, when the loud noise of cutting the wind sounds, the gatekeepers lose consciousness and fall on the spot. And at the same time, a crack entered the iron fence that was behind the gatekeepers and fell with a loud metal noise.

"Emperor, I'll lecture you, so take a good look."

"Oh, oh."

Arthur says so and slowly heads to the Great Demon King's Hall. Seiya and Dalta are dressed to chase Arthur's back like that, followed by Arthur.

But naturally, they're not stupid either. Immediately he notices an anomaly and one person after another comes out of the building. And when I saw what was happening in the front, I instantly realized it was an enemy attack, and entered a state of alert.

Enemy attack. Enemy attack.

"There are three enemies, all supposedly magicians"

The opponent strikes his weapon single-handedly toward Arthur as he informs him of the enemy attack aloud. Some of them have already exercised their magic, and I can hear that they are quite sophisticated.

But in front of him, Arthur never moved.

"Take a good look, Emperor"

And the next moment, something incredible happens.

"... eh"

What an enemy that was about to strike Arthur fell on the spot at the same time as if he had lost consciousness with a pussy. Of course Arthur has no noticeable movement. She's just walking like she did earlier.

I didn't understand what happened to Seyya and Dalta.

And the second line of enemies also fall in unison as if they had suddenly lost consciousness, just as they had earlier. The sight was precise and unusual.

"Are you out of your mind?

"Oh, oh."

As the enemy continued to gather, Arthur threw his words at Seyya without looking back. Seyya has no words for her first sight.

"This is called a struggle."

"Struggle?

"That's right. The Emperor knows a little about it. Well, obviously, he's intimidating."

"Intimidation…"

Hear the words and understand that Seyya somehow but Arthur did.

Intimidation - it is something the strong can unleash on the weak while there is an overwhelming difference in strength.

I have also used Seiya several times. But like Arthur, consciousness is hard to prune. Not to mention so many opponents at once, and all of them.

"Fighting is an extremely intimidating move. It is a technique that can be handled by those who are extremely intimidating, and its shape is ten people. In my case, I stab my opponent by using my own intimidation as a sword and prune my consciousness. There's a lot more to it. In a familiar example, we can simulate the gravity of certain spaces."

Seiya can't hide her surprise in the first word of struggle. But Arthur doesn't mind such a seiya, stabbing his attacking enemies with one struggle after another, pruning his consciousness.

As soon as the enemy understood that he could not approach Arthur, he switched to a magical attack from a distance, but his consciousness is pruned by Arthur before exercising his magic.

"Defense! Use defensive magic!

When instructed to cast defensive magic from among the enemies, defensive magic unfolded simultaneously. That number exceeds a hundred graciously, all of which can be found to be high level magic. And when the defensive posture is in place, the enemy magically attempts an attack on Arthur.

This prevents Arthur from attacking and launches enemy attacks, which should have been.

But at the next moment, the magicians, who were magically trying to attack Arthur, fall as if they had all lost consciousness.

"Become..."

A similar voice rises in the enemy formation. But in the next moment, the magicians who were developing defensive magic also fell unconscious.

In front of that sight, Seyya can't hide her surprise either.

Even though he was an enemy, Seyya thought his opponent's unfolding defensive magic was at a high level. But just like earlier, Arthur broke their defensive magic in a struggle and, no, made an attack as if he had ignored the defensive magic.

"You're a lot surprised. Emperor."

"Sort of. I didn't know you wouldn't suffer so much defensive magic..."

"I told you. Fighting is a move."

moves, I thought Seiya found out just a few secrets of struggle in those words.

"I mean, in front of the struggle, you think magic is pointless?

"Well, that's the thing. Struggle is more of a mental or psychological attack than a physical attack. Naturally there's no magic in there that's a wall of physics."

A struggle is an attack that strikes directly at the other person's psyche, and there is no such entity.

"And there's no way to prevent a struggle. The only condition you can use is when the opponent recognizes you as a strong enemy. Then you may wish you didn't, but it's pointless because where you didn't, your human instincts intuitively recognize the strong. The only way to protect yourself from struggle is to gain the same or more power as your opponent."

Arthur finally steps inside the building of the Great Demon King's Hall, explaining his fighting spirit. And Saiyah and the others followed.
