Falling Mage and the Power of Divergence

Episode 290: Long time no see, Leiria.

When Seyya was in office as the Great Demon King at the Demon King's Conference, the figures of Arthur and D'Arta, who had returned to Leiria with the same time, were in the capital Rheinz.

After they broke up with the Seyyas in the Kirrell Mountains, they went out into the dark near Leiria at Rona's door and were returning to Leiria via the Frestan region. Using Rona's magic it was also possible to move directly into the Episcopal Church, but the two of them went out of their way because of all the hassles they would have had if they hadn't gone through the process of returning home.

It took about a week for me to come back to the capital because of that, but I didn't end up wasting my legs because there was also a harvest for it. The two had gone through various cities during their return to the capital, and each time they had received updates on Leiria.

At the general popular level, the subject of Seyya, the new premium magician, was at the centre of the conversation, but speculation also came to my ear that once I got into the world behind me, there were disturbing moves by some premium magicians, mainly Riger, and that the Raiders of the Leirian Magic Games were set up to make Seyya a premium magician.

Regardless of the authenticity of that information, some neighborhoods will certainly have doubts about the magic of Seyya. Arthur, who overheard that information, is the expression that determined something.

Dalta, on the other hand, doesn't even look particularly concerned, and speaks to Arthur in a swallowing manner. That attitude seems to have resolved the tension considerably compared to when it was.

"And Rona's magic is amazing, isn't it?"

"Is that the door?

"Yes, I want to dream of being able to travel long distances in an instant"

What Dalta is impressed with is the door that allows Rona to use the night attribute to travel long distances. D'Arta's shock would be considerable because there is no such thing as the magic of traveling long distances in this world.

But it's not that touching, although I think it would be awesome from Arthur, who knows Rona's magical principles. Rather, although the magic of traveling long distances is only a success story, it is one of the magic that has been tackled since antiquity.

"Long haul magic has long been under development."

"Really? But I've never heard of it."

"I guess. Because it's a kind of state secret that the upper ecclesiastical hierarchy has been working on for years in top of the secret."

"Can I tell you such a secret here?

D'Arta carefully checking around. Of the capital, if they talk state secrets all over a city like this, they care about their surroundings. Fortunately, the person who was listening to the two conversations was not in the near field, so I'm relieved, D'Arta. Arthur on the other hand doesn't show how he cared in particular.

"You don't have to worry about anything. It's magic that doesn't succeed anyway."

"Don't you succeed?

"Oh. The way they work on it is fundamentally different from the way the Spirit Luna does it. The level of technology required above is extremely high. That is the substitute for not succeeding without simultaneously exercising multiple magic at an elaborately calculated time. Probably won't be complete for the next hundred years."

D'Arta necks over the size of the scale of the story. Apparently, she has no idea what Arthur is meant to do.

Arthur begins to explain such a Dalta in an easy way. I guess this kind of good care is also one of the reasons why Dalta's tensions have been lifted.

"The unique name of magic that the Episcopal Church is currently embarking on developing is long-distance travel magic, commonly known as warp magic. The principle of warp magic is to try to make a pre-marked point, here, a device embedded with a magic crystal stone, close range by twisting the physical distance present between the devices."

Arthur continues to explain to Dalta, who somehow does but understands.

"But the problem here is how to twist and bend the physical distance. I cannot interfere with the concept of distance because the magic that exists does not allow me to interfere with what does not exist a physical structure. Still, the Episcopal Church is desperate to interfere with distance because the sedation of water attributes can calm the pain."

It was understandable that Dalta, who specializes in water attributes, was the intention of the last word. And I don't know what Arthur wants to say, but I guess.

"But is it the night attribute that can interfere with that distance?

"That's a good idea, isn't it? Exactly, the Spirit Luna enables long-distance travel in an instant by interfering with the concept of distance with night attributes. But in the case of the Spirit Luna, instead of twisting and bending the distance, he's erasing the long distance itself by letting it disappear. This means that the Episcopal Church will not succeed in developing magic at a time when night attributes cannot be used."

Having experienced the power of night attributes on its own, D'Arta sensibly understood the theory. It would certainly not be possible to achieve warp magic in Leiria, where there is no dark attribute, rather than night attribute.

So Arthur makes a supplement.

"By the way, it also used to take the method of using light attributes to travel at the speed of light, but the experiment itself was successful, but what it arrived at was kept because it was a gutter"

"It's..."

Arthur's supplement. Dalta with a smiley face. If you travel at the speed of light, you'll know exactly what happens to your body if you look at Seiya. Seiya's 'wrapped light' is fundamentally the same as its method, so it's imperative that it collapse if you don't increase endurance.

"Now, that method is the closest thing to success, but Leiria's technical skills are not high enough to develop a device that can withstand the speed of light travel."

That would be possible with Dacrya's technology, which Dalta thought he would not speak of any more. Because that's how we arrived at the Episcopal Church.

The building that stands in front of you becomes the central institution of this country, where Dalta once belonged. From now on, the two of them are headed to the top of the country, the Seven Wise Men, to report the failure of the Saiya Crusade.

When it comes to meeting the Seven Wise Men, Dalta gets nervous himself. Getting used to Arthur doesn't seem to get used to the Seven Wise Men.

When they finish the process at the reception, the two are put through the back. At that time, the receptionist saw about Arthur and said, "Holy Knight!?" I raised my voice, and it's another story that people around me seemed to rarely see the Holy Knight for the first time.

The two men who were put in the back are supposed to use the stairs to go to the Seven Wise Men on the top floor. But Arthur ignores the stairs that go up and goes straight to the back. At first I wondered if I went the wrong way because I hadn't visited in a long time, D'Arta, but apparently not.

Arthur is moving forward with some purpose. Arthur continues to the back of the Episcopal Church. The district is also a place that Darta, who belonged to the Episcopal Church, has never visited.

And the two of you who open the door to the old room in the deepest part and go inside. Hasn't that room been in use for decades now, dust spreading all over the room and spiders hanging all over it? If that room is to be represented in a nutshell, is it a forgotten abandoned house?

Darta can't hide her surprise in that room she sees for the first time.

"I can't believe this is happening"

"It's too early to be surprised."

When Arthur, with a niggle and a grin, moves a large box about his height, a staircase appears underneath it that leads to the basement.

"Uh, aren't we headed to the Seven Wise Men?

"I'm afraid I'm not going to go to them. We're going underground now."

"................................. Huh?

To the sudden proclamation D'Arta could not but utter a dumb voice.
