Falling Mage and the Power of Divergence

Episode 294: The Moving Extraordinary Mages

A special magician is a special magician with only thirteen in Leiria, whose strength is said to be comparable to thirteen in the Episcopal Church. Generally speaking, the Association of Extraordinary Mages, to which the Extraordinary Mages belong, is considered an independent body to stop the rampage when the Episcopal Church, the governing body of Leiria, runs wild.

But the inside line was far from what was commonly believed. In order to explore why, we need to know why the Extraordinary Mages were born in the first place. Even though the Association of Extraordinary Mages is an independent institution from the Episcopal Church, the rank of Extraordinary Mage is given by the Episcopal Church. Now Seiya was also appointed a special magician by the Seven Wise Men to belong to the Association of Special Mages.

In other words, it was the Seven Wise Men who united the Episcopal Church who created the existence of the Extraordinary Mage. Then how could it be because they created a being such as a premium magician, not to have their own rampage stopped, of course? Rather, it is only in the way if we try from the Seven Wise Men that we can stop the rampage.

The true reason why the status of the Premium Mage was born is because their ideas are not in keeping with the will of the Seven Wise Men. For, more specifically, they are not the personages worthy of the Thirteen Apostles. Indeed, their strength is considerable, and if they choose the top thirteen from the Extraordinary Mages and the Thirteen Apostles, they will have a powerful force. But then you will be out of control of the Seven Wise Men.

That's where the Seven Wise Men created the status of Extraordinary Mage. Thirteen talents unworthy of the Apostle, but if they do not give him a special status, they will also be questioned by the people. It is precisely the association of special magicians that brings together troublesome talent.

So basically, the Seven Wise Men don't like extraordinary magicians.

"What the hell do you want? Double Tooth, Sword Emperor, Witch. How much disrespect do you guys have?

"What if I at least knock"

"This is why insane people are"

Coming into the room were O'Nils, a young man with dark hair and skinny body with the alias "Twin Fangs"; Iskal, a man covering his mouth with the alias "Sword Emperor"; and Cleonora, a woman with thin purple hair dressed in clothes with an open chest with the alias "Witch". All three are special magicians with only thirteen in Leiria.

I know very well from the words directed at the extraordinary magicians who suddenly came in that the Seven Wise Men do not like them. But they go ahead and talk without even showing how they cared about that.

"How dare you slap such a big mouth, Seven Wise Men. Why don't you put yourself in a good position?"

"What? Double Fang, I thought you were a little more polite."

"Courtesy. I don't need any courtesy from you right now, Sir Conrad."

"What do you mean?

Conrad, who does not particularly like the Thirteen Apostles, responds to Onylus, who has the alias "Twin Fangs". The rest of the premium magicians are smiling and watching the look behind them. Such an attitude made Conrad even more grumpy.

"It means the way it is. Now you guys are saying a piece of junk that won't even be decorated."

"You! You're being disrespectful towards Sir Conrad!

"That's right! You think the Thirteenth Apostle will shut up for doing that!

"Hmm, the Thirteenth Apostle? Now that half have disappeared, what can you do with the remaining thirteen apostles?

"No way, you... you know..."

Conrad gave a harsh look to Onylus' words. The conspiracy of the Thirteen Apostles, headed by Silforno, has not yet been made public. On the contrary, it is information only some humans in the Episcopal Church know.

The trend of the Thirteen Apostles, which is also classified information, is also known to the special magicians. It is not preferable to take the Seven Wise Men. But what was less favourable than that was to be informed of the fact that the Seven Wise Men were losing command of half of the Thirteen Apostles.

Onylus, on the other hand, smiled niggardly at Conrad's reaction.

"Of course I do. Six Gazelle-Third, Real-Five, Basil-Aite, Weiss-Tuerb and Nana-Sarteen, headed by Silforno-Second, plus even the Saint Knight Arthur-One, flipped anti-flags against the Episcopal Church, etc."

The Seven Wise Men lost their words to the words of Onylus. Most of what he said is true and I have no choice but to deny it. If there's one thing that's different, it would mean Arthur hasn't committed a conspiracy.

So Conrad proudly tells Onylus.

"Hmm, there's no way Saint Knight Arthur-One could flip an anti-flag"

"Sir Conrad is right."

"You're in good shape, double fangs"

"It would still be foolish. Saint Knight Arthur-One has also already flipped the anti-flag"

Bullshit.

Conrad denies it, but Onylus' words look confident. The Seven Wise Men who saw that attitude thought no way, but shortly afterwards the truth of the shock was conveyed from the mouth of Onylus.

"Yes, I saw the Saint Knight Arthur-One downstairs earlier. I was definitely with a magician's servant who used the dark attributes that made him a new and extraordinary magician. Without calling this a conspiracy. What is it, Sir Conrad?

The Seven Wise Men could only put their lips on Onylus's attitude, which looked down on the Seven Wise Men as if they were grinning. If what he is saying is true, I have to admit that the Saint Knight Arthur-One flipped the anti-flag, as did Silforo-Second and others.

Because otherwise you don't have to act with Dalta, the servant of Seyya.

By the way, it wasn't from close range that they saw Arthur. I was trying to magic the Arthurs from afar. He was attentive to his surroundings, Arthur, but he just didn't think he was being watched from afar, and he sweetened his guard.

The three of them were eavesdropping on Arthur's conversation with the magic of the Witch Cleonora. Even so, I couldn't hear it until the end because Emris, who was accompanying me, immediately noticed surveillance and prevented interference. In the end, all I could grasp was the names of the two people accompanying Arthur, but still useful information for them.

As for D'Arta, a circular had been received from the Episcopal Church to the association, so I could immediately understand that he was a servant of Seyya just by asking for his name. And from there to Arthur is enough to establish that he flipped the anti-flag. Because they also knew that the Seven Wise Men had ordered the assassination of Seyya against Arthur.

The Seven Wise Men on the other hand cannot say anything. The same goes for this situation where they are the superior magicians, but more than that Arthur's anti-flag was a shock to them. Arthur, with Railia's strongest name, is the greatest force for them and the last trump card. Losing a trump card like that doesn't force them to shut up either.

"That and Saint Knight Arthur-One had another. The name is certain..."

"Emris."

"Yeah, yeah, yeah. Emris."

Onylus says as if he remembered the name of Emris from "The Witch" Cleonola, who was behind him. Exactly. They didn't seem to know about Emris either.

"I don't know about an old man named Emris, but he's a pretty good user."

"I wonder who he really is to see through my magic."

"I'll kill you if you have to."

Confident extraordinary magicians sidelined by the seven brilliant sages. Only one of them reacted to the name Emris.

"Emris... no way..."

"Well, Sir Alfredo. Do you know Emris?

"Know it or not, not one of the seven priests who once served God"

"Seven priests?

Onylus frowned at Alfredo's words.
