Falling Mage and the Power of Divergence
Revolutionary Army 8
It was surprisingly a mediocre restaurant in the city that the Mayor took Saiyas to visit. Those who had previously heard the movements of the Saiyas from afar have disappeared, and the Saiyas are sitting at the table in the form of a face-to-face meeting with the town mayor.
There were other guests in the restaurant, but I didn't show any bare hands about the Saiyas. Apparently, the mayor is sitting in front of the Sayers without escorts.
There will be no more favourable negotiating ground for the formation of an alliance, as the Revolutionary Army Deputy Commander thinks, but there will be no such thing as an alliance being held by the Sayers who are not drunk with the Revolutionary Army. On the contrary, he did not intend to reveal himself to be a member of the Revolutionary Army.
Seyya is facing the mayor for what the people think as a single ruler and want to see what they are ideal for. Jack, by contrast, does not have any purpose, but in a way has a strong connotation of escort.
Having completed a full order for the seat, the mayor went to the point waiting for the beverage to arrive.
"What do you want?"
The mayor's question puts it to the core, but for both of us it can't be said to be the core. If you were a revolutionary army person, you would have an alliance by talking about your hatred for the Demon King, but the two are not revolutionary army people.
This activity was also unintentional and did not have any clear purpose. That's why the Seyyas get stuck in the answers.
"I don't think I've reached such an act for no purpose. Fooling the Demon King is synonymous with making this country an enemy. I don't think you're ready for that."
"Oh? You're not ready, are you?
"Calm down. Jay"
"Shit."
Jack staring at the mayor when he told me he wasn't ready, but when Seiya stopped him, he turned to him in a grumpy manner.
"This is a pure question, but what do people in this town think of the Demon King?
"Hmm. That's a tough question"
The mayor opens his mouth in a way that seems a little hard to answer.
"The human totality of this town is the realization of a stable and secure life. No doubt about this, but what each person thinks of the Demon King cannot be answered as a mayor"
"Then let me hear your personal feelings."
The mayor said there was no hesitation in laughing bitterly at Saiya's inquiry.
"I don't care about the Demon King if he reveals his personal feelings. No, as long as it exists steadily, I don't care."
"What do you mean?
"We can't use magic. We must be small from the Demon King's point of view. But we have a steady life with the Demon King. That doesn't mean we can do something to the Demon King, and the Demon King wouldn't want that."
That seemed seemingly difficult and actually fit in with a simple story. The mayor was indifferent to the Demon King in a good way.
"The demon kings will be gone. The Demon King drives us away from the use of magic. The Demon King destroys this town. We would need to speak up if these unforeseen things were to happen, but we don't have a preference for the current demon king, but it doesn't mean we're unhappy."
The Demon King system is essential for the stability of this country, but I do not like excessive interference. After all, the human stance in this town was closer to an adventurers union that listed anti-demon kings than demon kings.
But they are not watched by the powerless demon kings, so I'm pretty sure it's a state of non-interference.
"What I just don't want you to misunderstand is that even we are a fine Dacrean people. I can't use magic, but if you say this country is in danger, I will gladly help the Demon King. If we are born and raised to protect this land, we will take our weapons and offer our cooperation in what we cannot do by magic."
It was only a personal opinion, but a very meaningful opinion if you take it to Seyya, although he was the last town mayor to add.
It would also be great for the future life of the Great Demon to have been able to know what non-magicians think and what they want as rulers.
"On the contrary, do you really hate the Demon King?
The mayor of the town looks straight into Seyya's eyes. Those eyes said they would not allow false answers, and Seyya learned only slight confusion in the answers.
Jack snaps his mouth when he sees Seiya stuck in an answer.
"I live the way I want to. Assuming anyone gets in the way, I'll kill the Demon King."
"You are like a blade. Even if that was one of them?
"Oh, man. Whoever stands in front of me will slaughter and kill."
"Even the people next to you."
"Hmm, that's a stupid question. I'm not gonna forgive Mizuchi for what he did to me."
The mayor smiles when he sees Jack's eyes that make him feel any cloudless, pure killing, but inside, he has a fear for Jack.
What Jack feels from his current exchange is a murderous intent that never clouds, and Jack lives however he likes, no matter what stands in his way. The mayor felt terrified when he felt about it, but somewhere in his mind he even flattered himself a little bit about Jack.
Whatever the shape, Jack has a self that will never turn. That was what the mayor of the town had been looking for since childhood, something he had not yet been able to get.
"How about you over there?
"I..."
It was the moment Seyya tried to say what she thought.
"Everybody freeze!
Voices similar to the anger echoed in the store, while several men simultaneously exploded into the store. The sight is an indisputable terrorist attack.
