Falling Mage and the Power of Divergence
Revolutionary Army 21
It appeared abruptly. It's one magic formation that showed up without worrying about Seyya and Jack fighting so hard.
That's not the first yellow magic formation to witness in this country either. Yellow magic formations do not exist in Dacrya, where the four attributes of darkness, fire, water and wind are considered basic attributes, so many may mistake their magic formations for strange natural phenomena.
But Seyya and Jack, occasionally present on the spot, stopped fighting as soon as they saw the yellow magic formation. Jack suspected that the magic formation was initially deployed by Seyya, but concludes that there is another operator for it because the location of the deployment is too far apart.
Be wary of the sorcerer, who immediately deployed his magic formation, of those whom Sayya, on the other hand, does not remember. At this point, Seiya was convinced that there were other Leirian people nearby besides herself, but she hadn't been able to capture them until that appearance.
The yellow magic formation that suddenly appeared in the first place is not a magic formation directed at the two of us. The magic formation unfolded a little further away from the two of us. It is over the other side of the hill sandwiched from where the two were engaged in a fierce struggle if more strictly noted.
You may not think this is worth the vigilance, but the size of the deployed yellow magic formations was out of standard. Normally, the magnitude of the magic formations deployed by the magic formations is not constant because they are dictated by the power of magic. However, the amount of magic a single operator can handle is limited, so even if it is large, it is limited to about three mels of magic.
It just shreds its power where it deploys more magic formations.
In the first place, the Magic Formation acts like a gate through which the magic developed in the operator's body is put to work in this world. There is also the art of directly acting magic, but much of the magic is intended to shape magic into its intended form by passing through magic formations.
A plain example would be given of the water in the container. Either increase the power of the water flowing out of the hole in the container by reducing the size of the exit, or increase the amount of water stored by increasing the size of the container.
This is similar to flowing magic out of a magician's body into this world, and many magicians increase the power of magic with trial and error. And because any magician has a limit to magic, the limit comes to enlarging the magic formation.
Exceptionally, Seyya and Yua can generate magic by using sacred attributes, and can produce pseudo-inexhaustible magic, but most magicians cannot use sacred attributes.
The size of the magic formation, which suddenly appeared above the mine, was two hundred mels in diameter. It can also be taken for granted that the Seyyas are deprived of consciousness because a huge magic formation appeared in the night sky of the mine, which would lightly envelop one building.
Aside from the Seyyas, some of the humans in the industrial cities also look in the direction of the mine with a strange face when they realize that the night sky has glowed. Even people who aren't magically bright must remember their anxiety about the huge magic formation unfolding.
Maybe if it's something that can handle magic, I'll see and mock the giant magic formations. It may be that the magic exercised produces only about the power of droplets dripping from the faucet because the amount of magic is limited where we deploy a huge magic formation that is so inefficient.
But Seyya and Jacques did not do anything to laugh. Seeing the elaborately assembled magic formation, it was understood that the operator possessed the equivalent of a giant magic formation. The advantage of deploying a giant magic formation without any clearer purpose than that does not exist, so it is common sense for something that deals with magic to be alert in the size of a magic formation.
So the Seyyas see a huge magic formation and learn to marvel, as well as instinctive fear. It would be easier to destroy a city if a magic formation the size of which you have never experienced were exercised. I can't even imagine seeing a magic formation beyond my common sense and how powerful that magic formation would be.
It was just an unknown being.
And all of a sudden, the adventurers of the revolutionary army, resting in a building that was beneath a huge magic formation deployed in the night sky of the mine, also begin to go outside, noticing strangely. But when they see giant magic formations that transcend the understanding that unfolded above them, the magic that was exercised strikes them.
It was exercised abruptly.
It was the light that poured down from the immense magic formations deployed over it. It is just light from the side, but the Saiyas who were around undoubtedly saw it.
The enormous amount of light pouring down from the magic formation undoubtedly also had calories. Moreover, the heat is so high that it cannot be measured with equipment in this world. The enormous amount of light poured is burning all of it down without exception when it encompasses everything that spreads on the ground.
The Seyyas, who were outside the magic formation, immediately exercise defensive magic to intercept them, but it is not the light that strikes them, but the shock. Whether it was Dacrya or two powerful men, a shock came from the other side of the hill. I can't imagine what the hell is going on across the hill.
The enormous amount of light would have been less than five seconds if it had taken time. When the light ends pouring, the immense magic formations deployed over the sky disappear without a trace, and the mines are engulfed in silence.
The defensive magic unfolded by the Seyyas in a mine where events a few souvenirs ago were engulfed in silence as if they were lies, was worn out yet at work. Just the look on Saiya's face is harsh.
The two stop the fight as they send their sights to each other and go across the hill with vigilance. At this point, the two of us were unwilling to fight, and finding out what happened across the hill was our top priority.
But the sight that spreads across the hill is too tragic, and the Sayers lose their words.
The building, which would have been there until earlier, has disappeared without a trace, to the extent that only a few steel remains that would have been the frame of the building. Neither does that steel leave the whole building, and all that remains would be about 30%, even if many estimates were made.
It would have been human damage that was greater than that. Until earlier, there should have been nearly a hundred adventurers in that building, survivors of the Revolutionary Army, with the exception of the Seyyas, but not a single one of them was on the spot. There isn't even any remains of flesh.
It had disappeared without a trace to the point where it was more convincing to say that they had been put together and flown into different spaces. A shadow similar to the shape of those who were just unnaturally left on the ground was proof of their lifetime. The shadow is the shadow of those who came outside the building just before the magic was exercised.
Other than that, nothing of their living proof existed. All of a sudden, the light poured out of a huge magic formation deployed over it instantly evaporated the survivors of the revolutionary army.
What happened, the presence of the revolutionary army had disappeared without so much trace that it could not have been imagined without being told that there was a building in the mine and there were people inside. Even Jack, who has lived in the world behind that sight, is so speechless.
The surgeon was surprisingly close, causing a situation that I could even care to describe with the raw and warm word merciless, etc. He stood on the other side of the building across the wreckage with the Seyyas, who had crossed the hill to be exact.
The person looked slightly surprised when he noticed the Saiyas, but the Saiyas on the other hand were few. Given Seyya's original purpose, I'm not uncomfortable that the person showed up. Instead, I guess I should be convinced, but Seyya has remembered the surprise.
But over time, surprises change convincingly, recovering to such an extent that words can be crushed. And the name of the sorcerer was given out of Sayya's mouth.
"You're Michaela..."
Standing before the Sayers was Michaela, the Angel, who held the status of a special magician in the Kingdom of Leiria.
