Chapter 64: Kian, come!
Jia and Jiao Yin seemed to be still fast asleep.
Yesterday’s liquor had truly taken some toll on the girls. Perhaps, it was a hundred years old after all.
Kian and Mia went to the bathroom and Mia brushed herself in just minutes.
She was too excited to be wasting time brushing too much.
Then, she glared at him, who was drying his face with a towel.
"Want a kiss now?" he asked.
"No," she said matter-of-factly. "I don’t."
Kian clicked his tongue. "Too cold! Someone doesn’t want kisses now that they are a cultivator. Truly, forgetting the roots! Aiyaah!"
Mia giggled and walked out of the bathroom, too excited.
Ber bare feet pattered against the wooden floorboards of the hallway as she ran toward the living room, shouting Jia’s name at the top of her lungs.
Kian stretched his arms over his head, listening to the sudden eruption of high-pitched squeals and frantic explanations from the other side of the house.
He slowly walked out of the bathroom and adjusted his fresh robe, a faint chuckle escaping his lips.
It felt nice to see Mia so excited about drinking his cum.
He quickly walked into where Jia had slept.
Jia was indeed sitting on the mattress, her hair a bird’s nest of tangled black strands and her face bearing the red imprint of bed seams.
Kian felt like going up to her and biting her cheeks.
"Shut up, Mia," Jia mumbled, her voice thick with the gravel of a wine-induced hangover. "If you don’t shut up, I am going to kick your leg off. You ruined my sleep."
"Jia, look at me! Sense me!" Mia practically dove onto the bed, grabbing her sister’s shoulders and shaking her until the blanket slipped down to reveal Jia’s squinting, utterly confused eyes.
Mia grinned, and Jia noticed the brightness of her eyes.
Suddenly, she realized.
"You... you actually sensed Qi? How? We literally just slept!"
She was speechless.
Over by the window, Hua Feimei sat in a carved wooden chair, her dark, oiled guqin resting across her knees while she turned the pages of a thin, faded manual.
At the sudden reveal of spiritual fluctuation, her fingers froze on the page, and her ruby-red eyes flared with a sharp, piercing brilliance as she looked over her daughters’ heads.
Her gaze locked onto Mia’s lower abdomen.
A rare look of genuine, unfiltered surprise crossed her elegant features, her lips parting slightly as she raised her head to stare at Kian.
He just stood leaning against the doorframe, looking at them with a satisfied smirk.
Jia cupped her sister’s face and asked in surprise: "You actually sensed Qi?"
"Yes!"
"Damn you, you left me behind," Jia said, half tease and half worry for herself.
Mia rubbed her nose, giggling silly even as she noticed her sister’s worry.
Jiao Yin blinked at the scene. "Miss Mia, how did you actually do it?"
"I don’t know what actually happened. Um, me and Kian were just... playing around in the other room, and then, I drank, I mean, we did some things and all of a sudden, I sensed Qi."
Halfway through her explanation, Mia realized that she couldn’t possibly say it out loud.
Jia touched her sister’s forehead. "Wow, your body is warmer as well. Does it feel nice?"
"It does!"
Mia secretly threw a look at Kian, wondering if he could help Jia as well.
He winked at her.
That confirmed her hypothesis, removing the last veil blocking her happiness.
She hugged Jia and just remained there, just feeling happy and content for the moment.
"Actually," she said. "Kian was the one who helped me sense Qi, I think he can help you and Jiao Yin as well."
Feimei blinked, closing her book with fwoomp.
"How did he help you?"
Kian walked closer to Mia and Jia and lowered himself to their level, then said: "My unique constitution finally awakened."
He kept his expression solemn, though his eyes danced with a quiet, knowing amusement.
"Unique constitution?" Feimei’s curiosity spiked.
Kian nodded. "It makes my ’essence’ unique, and anyone who ingests it gets a small amount of Qi in their body. It isn’t a massive breakthrough on its own, but it is very, very useful for people who haven’t been able to sense Qi to finally break through that barrier."
Jia stared at him, her hungover mind struggling to process the words, while Jiao Yin’s mouth fell open in curiosity. The latter didn’t quite understand the value of such an ability.
Feimei let out a quiet breath, her ruby eyes shifting between Kian and her newly awakened daughter as she remembered something she had read about long ago.
"A dual-cultivation constitution of the nourishing path, you had such a thing dormant?" Feimei murmured, looking at him. "I have read of such legends in the old texts, but to think one would manifest in my vicinity, not to mention, so close."
"So..." Jia said. "What do you mean ingest your essence?"
Kian shrugged. "That."
Jia immediately blushed, turning to look at Mia.
Mia, blushing, nodded.
Jiao Yin said: "Isn’t that good? We all do it anyway, now it means he can help all of us."
Mia nodded in thought as well. "Indeed, he can help all of us except mom. It is pretty nice."
"Yeah," Jia said, looking at him. "But mom is already a cultivator, so she doesn’t need it anyway."
Kian chuckled. ’I will help her as well.’
How could he resist Feimei now that he had’d a taste of her?
Feimei and Kian exchanged a short, inquisitive look.
Jia pushed Mia off of her and stood up. She blinked furiosly at Kian, then asked: "Have you brushed? Come, let’s go brush."
"I brushed—"
"You haven’t? Oh, come follow me."
Jia grabbed him by the shoulder in an attempt to take him to the bathroom.
Feimei said softly: "Jia, don’t waste the entire thing. Bottle some of it and bring it to me. I want to test it for something."
Jia’s neck reddened, then stomping, she left to the bathroom on her own.
Kian rolled his eyes. "Nobody cares about my thoughts now? And here I just finished a load and was entering monk mode."
Jia’s voice echoed into the room: "Kian! Come!"
