Clinical PhDs are not research PhDs; they have scheduled clinical learning time, and the remaining research time is simply not enough to produce experimental results. Those who want to do research can only sacrifice rest time after clinical work to stay in the lab. This leads to students like Duan Sanbao finishing work at six or seven PM and then rushing to the lab for experiments, possibly eating dinner and snacks there, and even sleeping in the lab.
Clinical teachers are most afraid of students being too tired and having an accident in the lab with no one realizing it, ultimately leading to a disaster. Doctors are human too, and wearing a white coat is no guarantee against death.
