Chapter 258: Slow Down
Beastmen’s bodies seemed to be more developed. Shi Lan was in a daze. When He Hanshi’s body drew near again, she shrank back in fear, clutching the blanket tightly.
"He Hanshi, can you slow down?"
"I’m afraid it will hurt..."
Shi Lan knew this was bound to happen sooner or later, and she had no intention of backing out. She was just a little apprehensive. So, while she hid her body behind the blanket, her little face scrunched up as she pitifully begged He Hanshi to be gentle, her cute, rosy feet remained right where he could reach them.
He Hanshi’s Adam’s apple bobbed. His blue eyes watched as a dewy, crimson flush spread across her delicate, fair face. When he noticed her unconsciously and cautiously peeking at his body, he tensed even more, the surging heat threatening to overwhelm his reason.
Shi Lan had no idea that her current appearance only made one want to ravish her all the more.
She was like a timid little hamster that had accidentally exposed its soft belly to a predator—utterly adorable.
However, he would never truly do anything to hurt Lanlan.
He clenched his fists, veins bulging on his fair, powerful arms. He was exercising the utmost restraint, yet his voice came out low, hoarse, and gentle. "Okay."
As he spoke, He Hanshi’s hand came to rest on the hem of her nightgown, which was visible beneath the blanket. She had left in a hurry last night and was still wearing it, leaving her utterly defenseless.
’Maybe, with just a little force, I could rip it right off.’
But he had promised Shi Lan to be patient, and he was, proceeding with only a cautious touch.
Shi Lan felt a tingling sensation and gripped the blanket tighter. Suddenly, she felt soft, fluffy hair brush against her thigh. Her weakened legs immediately clamped shut, though it held little deterrent force.
"He... He Hanshi..."
Her voice was trembling, possessing a gentleness he had never heard before.
From beneath the blanket, He Hanshi’s voice was muffled. He mumbled an indistinct response, his throat working as if he were swallowing.
Shi Lan’s mind went blank. She had no energy left to think, her rosy toes curling and uncurling ceaselessly.
Just as she was staring blankly at the ceiling, He Hanshi’s voice seemed to drift from a distance. "Lanlan, I’m starting now..."
’It hasn’t started yet?’
Shi Lan was bewildered, her mind unable to keep up. She blinked her dewy, almond-shaped eyes and subconsciously hummed an "mhm" of assent.
She thought she could finally relax, unaware that the true storm had only just begun.
He Hanshi was indeed blessed with ample patience. He was completely considerate of his wife and did as she asked. Even as he held back until the veins on his arms bulged and his eyes grew bloodshot, he honored his promise to be "slow."
That is, until Shi Lan’s voice grew choked with sobs. Her hands gripped his shoulders, her nails digging deep marks into his skin as she could no longer stand his considerate pace. "He Hanshi, please, just go faster..."
Only then did he finally unlock the cage in his heart, pulling her with him to be wholly immersed in the torrential rain.
After an unknown amount of time, He Hanshi tossed aside the cumbersome blanket and pulled her into his arms, seating her on top of him.
Shi Lan’s nails scraped another red mark across his skin.
He Hanshi placed a doting, loving kiss on her flushed cheek and brushed away the damp strands of hair clinging to her face.
Beastmen had a physical trait that caused them to knot. Even after the storm subsided, they were unable to separate for a time, which made it the perfect opportunity to perform a Deep Healing.
His spiritual power threads proactively entered Shi Lan’s body. Perhaps because the two had formed a Spiritual Connection long ago, her own spiritual power threads quickly emerged to greet his.
Her pretty, green spiritual power threads happily made contact with his blue ones. The very instant they touched, both of their bodies shuddered uncontrollably, pressing them even closer together.
Now Shi Lan really did want to run, but she was completely drained of strength. All she could do was feel the tingling sensation that seemed to emanate from deep within her bones and spread across her skin.
It was the same for He Hanshi. The exquisite pleasure made his breathing quicken, and his sweat soaked the mattress.
Just then, his blue spiritual power threads enthusiastically led the green ones into his own spirit sea.
The green spiritual power threads roamed unimpeded through his spirit sea, occasionally greeting the little mushrooms growing there. After a moment, they lovingly nuzzled the small White Lion, still trapped within the Spiritual Poison.
After completing a circuit through He Hanshi’s spirit sea, the green threads led the blue threads into Shi Lan’s.
Shi Lan’s spirit sea was pristine. A large, glowing mushroom sat in the very center, its vines joyfully unfurling their leaves.
As the blue spiritual power threads flew past the mushroom’s vines, the mushroom seemed to hiccup, spitting out a stream of green light that coated them.
Now enveloped in a green, fluorescent glow, the blue spiritual power threads were led by the green ones back into He Hanshi’s spirit sea.
The two sets of spiritual power threads, now imbued with healing energy, began to deal with the lines of poison much more quickly and efficiently.
And throughout this process, every touch and entanglement of the spiritual power threads sent a jolt like an electric shock through their bodies, making them tremble uncontrollably.
Whenever the green fluorescence on the blue spiritual power threads faded, they would return to Shi Lan’s spirit sea to recharge before continuing the healing.
Given the strength of Shi Lan’s spiritual power, the process wasn’t slow, but it had the unfortunate side effect of fanning the flames of their passion anew.
And so, the two of them lay back down on the bed.
...
When Shi Lan woke again, no light filtered through the gap in the curtains. It was pitch-black outside, the lights in the room were off, and He Hanshi was apparently no longer beside her.
She rolled over. Her spiritual power had absorbed a fair amount of the poison, so she felt more mentally sharp than ever. She was, however, still a bit exhausted. A lingering ache made her legs feel weak when she tried to lift them, causing her to instinctively press them together. But her body was fresh and dry; she had clearly been cleaned up.
She glanced at the time on her chip. To her surprise, it was already past eight in the evening.
Shi Lan turned on the lights. Her nightgown had been changed, and the duvet cover had been replaced with a fresh one.
He Hanshi had cleaned everything up.
A hint of satisfaction appeared in her eyes. Lying in bed, she recalled the recent events, her face flushing unconsciously. She wrapped the blanket around herself, still finding it all a bit unbelievable.
’I thought it would be awful, but everything went so smoothly.’
’And that He Hanshi... to think he could actually...’
At that thought, Shi Lan felt a tingling on her thighs again, as if the sensation of his hair brushing against her skin still lingered.
Too embarrassed to dwell on it, she nonetheless felt the corners of her mouth lift into a sweet smile.
’It was a good experience.’
Just then, He Hanshi walked in. Noticing the lights were on, the corners of his eyes crinkled with a smile. His voice was gentle. "Lanlan, you’re awake."
Shi Lan’s face was still flushed. She burrowed into the blankets, leaving only a pair of sparkling eyes visible. Her gaze fell on the tray in He Hanshi’s hands, and her nose twitched. "Did you make dinner?"
"Mhm, I figured it was late and you’d be hungry when you woke up."
"You woke up at the perfect time, Lanlan."
He chuckled softly, his expression relaxed. The contentment radiating from his smooth brow was palpable, a clear sign of his deep satisfaction.
