All seven of the Evil King Building’s “Ascendant Swordsmen” were swordsmen. Though they appeared wary of one another, their coordination was impeccable. The moment they engaged, the Sword Saint suffered a small setback.

Seeing that the Sword Saint was not immediately killed, the seven swordsmen were surprised.

Two of the swordsmen immediately broke off from the group and headed down the left corridor, while the other five blocked the patrol squad.

“I’ll hold them back!” Tulu swung his spiked club and charged forward.

“Don’t be reckless, watch their weapons!” the Sword Saint warned as he followed in.

He didn’t seem too bothered by the two who went off to cause trouble.

Tulu charged too fast and carelessly created a one-against-five situation, which was undeniably dangerous!

“Cut off his weapon!”

The five swordsmen decisively seized the opportunity, clashing sword against giant iron club.

Clang, clang~

Sparks burst, and to everyone’s shock Tulu’s iron club was sheared in half on the spot!

That was an Excellent-grade heavy weapon!

“Sss—”

A massive sword shaped like shark’s teeth sliced through Tulu’s chest armor.

In an instant, deadly poison surged into Tulu’s body, causing his condition to plummet.

“What powerful divine weapon!”

The Sword Saint was stunned. Tulu was wearing heavy armor, yet these blades could pierce it with a single stroke.

High lethality, extreme sharpness, and a special effect on top of that!

Immediately he felt his blood boil and charged forward, roaring.

“Swordsman, drop your blade!”

The Sword Saint rushed into the fray, blade winds swirling like tornados.

All five swordsmen were formidable in close combat. After a swift clash with the Sword Saint they began to fall back.

The Sword Saint then launched a fierce assault on a single target.

In a flash, other players from the first floor had also arrived. Under a flurry of strikes, he was driven into a desperate situation.

This swordsman’s pressure spiked instantly; he was struggling to hold on and bellowed, “You idiot, your teammate is about to be killed!”

“It’s your teammate who’s about to be killed!” the Sword Saint replied coldly.

The swordsman was startled and turned his head, only to be met by a sweeping torrent of cyan sword light!

The sword light was vast, and carried a kind of intimidation that stunned him for a beat.

“Swift Shadow: Triple Slash!”

Seizing the moment, the Sword Saint unleashed three horizontal blade shadows that suddenly bloomed, cleaving the swordsman and his armor into pieces.

“My sword is no less sharp!” the Sword Saint declared, yet his action held no hesitation. He quickly picked up the fallen swordsman’s long sword, wearing a look of having found a treasure.

The next second,

the smile froze on his face.

With a crackling screech, the long sword ripped itself from his palm and drove into the fallen swordsman’s body.

Man and sword fused!

In an instant the swordsman and the long sword merged into a half-man, half-sword abomination.

“You old relic, you actually forced me to this!” the Evil King Building swordsman sneered, his arms turning into sword blades, his face becoming an inverted triangle, jaw as sharp as a knife.

The Sword Saint didn’t reply, but cast a casual glance down the corridor.

At once he felt unsettled.

Why hadn’t the Evil King Building players killed by Wang Yazhi resurrected, while on his side this happened?

“Rising from the grave won’t save you!” The Sword Saint, who liked to read, had picked up many colorful phrases.

He leapt forward, his form splitting into three, the three blades each trailing a streak of swift wind.

This was the Nightmare power condensing into form. In dreams, that swift wind could annihilate anything; when manifested in reality its power was reduced somewhat.

But even weakened, Nightmare power was still Nightmare power, and at such a high tier it was enough to kill this Evil King Building player!

The Evil King Building had fused with a Wicked Artifact, boosting both attributes and armor of the main weapon. It paid no heed to the Sword Saint’s attacks and pressed forward, determined to overwhelm the old swordsman in one strike!

Blades crossed, gale after gale, the noise thunderous like an explosion on flat ground!

“Mad King Building players, are they this strong?” the Evil King Building swordsman murmured, and then his body exploded into fragments, like a shattered iron sword.

The Sword Saint was heartbroken, searching around but finding no trace of the Wicked Artifact.

At that moment, the other swordsmen also unleashed their own trump cards, each powerful in its own right.

The Sword Saint looked at Tulu.

“Boss, I’m fine!” Tulu produced a Minor Holy Spring Water and gulped it down; his wounds immediately recovered almost entirely.

The Sword Saint nodded and went on to target the remaining swordsmen in combat.

...

On the rooftop.

Xu Lang had been watching the seven swordsmen. These seven were not nobodies; they had made a name for themselves in the Evil King Building.

“Pure strength-wise, no matter how heavily Mad King Building players control SAN value, they’re not the match of Evil King Building players.”

“But with the supplies I issued, that might not be the case!”

Mad King Building was taking on attacks from three factions like a battlefield boss, they weren’t playing possum to trick anyone!

Apparently, they didn’t even need to pretend!

That was how the Dorm Survival Game worked: strong is strong, weak is weak!

If someone remained obscure, it likely meant they truly weren’t strong.

In this Dark Forest, true strength naturally reveals itself; otherwise how would one raid for resources?

Except for the earliest struggle for survival, Xu Lang was hardly underestimated by anyone now. People only wanted to challenge him.

Just like Mad King Building at this moment.

To be frank, ever since Mad King Building staked all its Source Matter, neither Mad King Building nor its players could be taken lightly.

“The Building is this strong, no wonder the game didn’t give us any buffs before starting,” Xu Lang murmured to himself.

Then he suddenly shook his head.

He was still too kind, always thinking the best of Mad King Building!

Maybe they withheld aid just to screw him over. He’d fought too aggressively like some frontline general, and as a result the rear supplies were cut off.

Does that make sense?

Completely unreasonable!

Bro is this fierce, shouldn’t Mad King Building have unleashed their big guns?

Or were they hatching an even bigger plan?

Quick thinking was a blessing. Xu Lang’s thoughts zipped like lightning and his mind suddenly brightened, vaguely sensing a thread.

“Damn it, you pushed all your Source Matter and boosted Interference Power to the max, don’t tell me you’re trying to pull Agatha into the battlefield?!”

Xu Lang’s mind churned wildly; the idea scared him.

No joke, against the three strongest Wicked Gods on the field right now, Agatha could crush them with a single slap!

He had already scanned the three Wicked Gods with his probing skill; they were comparable to level fifty commanding monsters, and could only trigger defensively. Evil King Building players had no control over them, like the Mad Vanguard.

But Agatha... Xu Lang had spent a long time and even used the Nightmare Eye, yet he still couldn’t see through her!
