Chapter 901 - 437: Spirit of Anger
"No way!"
In the form of a giant bear, Diao let out a cry mixed with the shout and roar of a young girl. As Inanna was enveloped by scarlet thorns, the sand and stones on the giant bear’s body weakened and gradually shattered under the sound of the girl’s cry.
She seized the opportunity to cast a spell, and beside her, a whirlwind with a human face suddenly rose—this was a Wind Spirit, whose mere presence brought a howling noise.
Then, alongside the Wind Spirit, appeared a blaze, a stream of water, and a massive rock, all Elemental Spirits controlled by the young girl.
The Elemental Spirits raised their hands, each unleashing Elemental Attacks to pull at the sand and stones binding her.
With the pressure on Diao suddenly reduced, she took the opportunity to chant a spell once more, summoning several graceful figures.
Some appeared mist-like, others were soaked, and some were entwined with vines—these were the Cloud Mist, Wetland, and Forest Spirits.
Three Excellence Realm Spirits of Nature summoned by a Great Druid joined in, instantly breaking the sand’s restraints.
Diao shook off the sand from her long robe and raised her hands high. A glowing Spiritual Light rose behind her, and a figure resembling a primitive tribal Priest emerged, wearing a giant eagle mask, draped in bear fur, and girded with a leopard skirt.
This was the Ancestral Spirit, a special summoned creature that some Witch Doctors and Mages could call upon.
With the Ancestral Spirit emerging, other spiritual bodies summoned by Diao seemed inspired, gathering around her.
"Oh spirits, now is the time of crisis for the one beloved by the Ten Thousand Spirits. The flow of spirits and the order of the world are under threat. Let your anger be unleashed upon that foul enemy!"
The Ancestral Spirit raised its head and let out a fierce shout, enough to shock the soul. Even the subdued Li Ang felt a tremor of spirituality throughout his body.
The surrounding spiritual bodies were motivated by this shout, showing their anger with natural postures, rushing forth with the Ancestral Spirit towards Inanna.
Li Ang guessed this was one of the Secret Techniques written on the young girl’s panel, the "Spirit of Anger."
The spirits charged with elemental and natural power, in the Spiritual Dimension, their power elicited substantial resonance and feedback, saturating the environment, obscuring even the thick oil paints.
The Spirit of Anger rushed towards the blood-red thorns becoming entities entwining Inanna, their spines no less than those on the Demon’s surface, cutting her bountiful body to bleed voluptuously.
The vibrations and howls of the spirits caused the thorns to shake, loosening the tight embrace of the Earth Dragon a bit, though it wasn’t quite solving the problem, because despite receiving support from the Eternal Prison, a part of the scarlet power still came from her.
It was indeed due to the Earth being covered by scarlet, a curse she deeply suffered from revealed at this moment.
Li Ang took advantage of Inanna being restrained, unable to devour him, and at the moment Diao’s Secret Technique scattered the scarlet thorns, he used his Prosthetic Hand to tear away thorns and slipped out of the constraints.
Though his body was also injured, he was in a much better state than Inanna. However, a Demon’s Hand attempted to top his Prosthetic Hand and catch him, yet perhaps due to prior usage of Demon Power, the system panel was still intact despite the arm being severed, or the Demon’s Hand hadn’t fully grown, he could completely control his body now.
Li Ang inhaled deeply, casting all Amplification Spells on Diao, whose power suddenly surged greatly. The Spirit of Anger tore apart many thorns connected to the Otherworld, she herself transformed into a tiger with pale gold fur tinged slightly pink, using her Sharp Claws to break many thorns.
The tendrils probing from the Otherworld retracted one by one.
Inanna lowered her head, kneeling on the ground, the scarlet thorn-like tattoos on her skin remaining steadfastly on her.
"Diao, transform into an eagle and go find the Great Witch Priest."
Li Ang finished speaking to the brown-skinned young girl and lifted his leg to run towards the door, but he was stopped by sobbing from behind.
It was Inanna.
She was murmuring something, and as Li Ang focused slightly to listen, he found the words still fragmented, yet full of endless sorrow, pain, and regret.
She seemed to be saying that because the Six Dragons hadn’t accomplished anything before the Primordial Being tore apart the world, leading to the Earth’s destruction, countless spirits suffered calamity, and survivors are forever in pain.
Agni said that the Earth Dragon used to be the gentlest and most amiable Dragon God; it was true.
Should she be left unattended?
Li Ang suddenly felt at a loss.
This situation was unprecedented for him, in the Spiritual Dimension, he still hadn’t figured out how to open the door to continue his trial, nor understood how to suppress Inanna’s curse, he was here to resolve his own curse.
But if she was just left here and if worse conditions occurred to her, she might become more frenzied when locating him, or even directly threaten Nebis’s perilous land.
Damn it, never mind, just try first.
Li Ang turned back towards Inanna, casting a Dimensional Cutting spell with his palm, taught by Akuya, though he wasn’t sure how to suppress the curse covering her body entirely, he could only give it a try.
Yet before taking a few steps, his mind raced, as if some wills were confirming his choice.
Before Li Ang could comprehend where this feeling originated, the Celestial Blue Ring on his hand started to heat up.
Ivynis?
No, that should be impossible. The Maiden of Azure is still confined by the Eye of God, she shouldn’t be able to come to this dimension.
Li Ang scanned around with no results, and as he shifted his gaze back, a celestial blue figure suddenly floated right before him.
"This is..."
Diao seemed deeply astonished, stunned as she looked at the suddenly materialized figure.
This person is a young girl, older than the average age of Li Ang’s companions, but likely not older than Dorothy.
She had long blue hair down to her knees, dressed in a white long robe, which was embroidered with a dragon spreading its wings and exuding divine majesty.
The face of the blue-haired maiden carried both the beauty of Ivynis and the demeanor of Zoe, like a fusion of the two, exuding a sense of nobility and power.
This image immediately reminded Li Ang of what Zoe mentioned to him, about seeing a Divine Child in the memory of Star Soul Hedaya, who once led the Star Souls in rebellion.
Is it really her? Why is she here? She should have been dead.
Li Ang speculated that she was also a Spirit Mark, it shouldn’t be wrong.
Just uncertain if she, like the previous Viel and Elaphia, came to vanquish a formidable foe, or like the ancient witch, was aided by the "Ten Thousand Spirits".
The "Divine Child" nodded to Li Ang, raising her hand.
As she exerted her power, the dragon on her robe seemed to come to life and flapped its wings, and behind her, a divine light appeared, amidst the dazzling golden radiance, a mighty dragon spread its wings.
It is Bahamut.
Sure enough, as Zoe described, this Bahamut differs from the purple gold giant dragon summoned by her and Ivynis, its scales and shell are like pure, high-quality gold... no, it can even be said that this dragon is completely forged of divine crimson gold, incomparably beautiful and majestic, captivating to behold.
The light golden Bahamut reached out a claw to seize Inanna, holding her in its grasp.
The Earth Dragon Incarnation, featuring traits of both the Beast-Earkin and Horned Race, transformed in the divine light back to her original form, a strong giant dragon with a massive jaw and fangs, clad in heavy armor.
But within the true Dragon God’s grasp, Inanna seemed like a lizard somewhat resembling a Dragon Turtle, vastly inferior.
"Father God..."
Inanna softly muttered.
Li Ang was also momentarily stunned by this scene.
He did not believe that this Divine Child was strong enough to crush the Six Dragons; it is just that the power of this incarnation of Inanna is far less than its original form, and in the Spiritual Dimension, many things do not follow the rules of the outside world, operating more in a mind-driven manner.
The golden Bahamut held Inanna tightly with one claw, while with the other claw, he tore at the oil-painted giant gate, and in an instant, the entire space seemed fragmented.
After a unique, indescribable loud sound, the gate was ripped open by the Dragon Claw, revealing a magnificent scene behind it, a landscape somewhat resembling Zultin Marsh, but far more lush and beautiful.
It was an Immortal Realm surrounded by fluorescent lights, full of exotic allure.
"That is the true Sanctuary of All Spirits!" Diao whispered in amazement.
She was also taught countless times about this domain, to witness it firsthand was overwhelmingly exciting.
"Go," the Divine Child gently told Li Ang, uttering one word.
Gratefully nodding towards her, whether it was an imprint left by Zoe’s ancient stories shared with him, or the Ten Thousand Spirits summoned her here, he was filled with respect for her.
"Thank you."
Li Ang sped towards the opened gate, leaping through.
"Wait for me!"
Diao bit her lip, eyes determined, transforming into a female deer and charging after Li Ang.
One human and one deer passed through the gate, landing in shallow water filled with endless fragrance.
The flowers on the side swayed, seemingly welcoming their arrival.
The door behind them slowly closed, but the wind sounded, and the curled-up Little Dragon Inanna was also tossed inside by Bahamut.
