Chapter 865 - 420: Dark Abyss
Livi sat down and watched everyone busily setting up for the meal, unable to speak for a moment.
Once everything was in place, the enticing aroma drew everyone’s attention to the dishes, leaving her conflicted. She thought for a moment and then decided, "Forget it, I can’t rush it anyway, I’ll just eat a little first."
The little girl scooted forward on her stone stool, sitting closer to the stone table.
The stone used as a stool was not light at all, yet she moved it as if it were a wooden chair.
ALulu placed a plate of steamed fish with various Flos Sky Realm spices in front of Livi, "Little Livi, this is specially prepared for you."
"Thanks, Lulu~" The Sea Dragon Ancestor flashed a smile.
These ingredients, including the seafood Livi liked, were all sourced from the Flos Sky Realm. Thanks to the Guild’s management, each island in the realm was rich in resources, supported by stable aerial logistics.
Except for Satus Island.
ALulu was usually quiet, her presence mainly known through the heat she emitted, but she had unconsciously remembered everyone’s culinary preferences.
Livi’s preferences fit the stereotype; she liked fresh seafood.
"As a creature from the Magic Power Dimension, what exactly is the Dragon Race’s eating habit?" Li Ang asked.
The essence of this question was why the Dragon Race seemed like creatures of nature, choosing their favorite habitats and foods, unlike demons who defied normality.
During his time as an ordinary Sky Knight, he didn’t think much of it, treating the Dragon Race as just demons. Later, upon learning they were beings from the Magic Power Dimension, curiosity arose, yet his energy was focused on matters of The Soul Apex.
As Farina shared deeper knowledge about the Dragon Race, he recalled this confusion, but only High-tier Dragons could properly address it, which he hadn’t encountered before.
In time, the Dragons he spent considerable time with were Akuya, Anna, and Livi. The Water Dragon’s temperament made coherent conversation impossible without proper appeasement, while Anna’s power stemmed externally from the Deus People.
As for Livi, she was the most suitable to inquire from.
Previously, when Wyrm Dragon was mentioned, Li Ang suspected that everything was linked to Dragon Ancestor being fragments of the Creator God.
Back then, the freshly-recovered Livi seemed more childlike and didn’t elaborate on this subject.
Now, she had been part of the Star Flower Travel Corps for some time, gradually syncing with Akuya, acquiring ancient knowledge and recollecting her past memories.
Yet, despite the Star Flower Travel Corps not being a Celestial Group, they were overwhelmed with daily affairs, especially with troublesome young girls constantly revolving, leaving little opportunity to ask, or sometimes Li Ang simply forgot amidst busyness.
Thus, seizing the moment now, he hastened to ask again.
"Delicious, I love eating, hmm hmm..."
Livi tilted her little head, nibbling at the fat belly of the fish she held by the tail.
"What I mean is..."
Li Ang elaborated on the core of his real question.
"Laniak grumble thrust!"
Livi swallowed the fish meat and wiped the oil from her mouth, "Hehe, Li Ang, you asked the right person. This should be asked of our Dragon Ancestor, rather than the obedient Six Dragons."
Seeing she knew this thoroughly, Li Ang felt relieved, yet didn’t fully understand her point.
"Hmm? Are the Six Dragons unaware?"
At this, not only Li Ang but also the other young girls eating and even the weary Farina sipping soup were somewhat surprised.
"It’s not that they don’t know; it’s just that in the eyes of our Dragon Ancestor, they are like dull, unthinking Creator’s servants, unfamiliar with savoring the world."
Li Ang grinned, understanding that the little Dragon Ancestor in front of him merely sought to criticize the Six Dragons.
"Our Dragon Race is closest to the Creator’s life forms. Everything in this world, the coexistence of both dimensions, is derived from His fragmented Power. We, the Dragon Ancestor, emerge from the Magic Power Dimension, the Six Dragons from the Material Dimension, yet capable of traversing both, holding corresponding forms within each realm.
"Though mere survival is possible through magic power, living is but existence. We must discover additional elements to become more ’complete,’ truly achieving ’growth.’
"Therefore, you intend to act like creatures of nature?"
"Yes, the natural environment is shaped this way due to the transforming Power of Creation, hence it’s vital we begin replenishing as such, albeit never reaching the Creator’s stature."
"I see."
Conversation continued while they ate, and as lunch approached its end, everyone collectively tidied up the dishes. ALulu turned off the magic furnace on the cart, removed the teapot, and poured cups of Flos Sky Domain Flower Tea, placing them on a tray.
"Brother, please have some tea." Xiaoniu approached Li Ang.
She sweetly smiled, "I added the rock sugar you like."
"Um, actually, well, I do love sweets; just hesitant now."
Before the journey, he had weight concerns, and after arriving, while initially indulging at the Holy City due to office work paired with excess sweets, his slow reaction during an operation nearly led to trouble, compelling him to sometimes force healthier choices.
"Then I’ll adjust the ingredients next time."
"Thank you, you’re thoughtful, an occasional treat is nice too."
He gracefully accepted Xiaoniu’s kind gesture.
But Li Ang paused.
Watching him stand still, Xiaoniu blinked.
"Drink up, Li Ang, why hesitate? It’s very fragrant," Zoe said, carrying a tray in one hand and a teacup in the other.
