[Sungrade Banquet, the night of Celebration: ]

It was a joyous occasion.

The Patriarch of the Sungrade that took the highest position of the family at the young age of twenty four, after thirty six years, was celebrating his sixtieth birthnight.

He has served the empire and the imperial crown in these thirty six years and he has come a long way.

Of the many companions he had right now, he met his first wife when he wasn’t even the head, in the very imperial court that he was frequenting nowadays.

She was a young advisor to the emperor, learning under the great imperial advisor and contributing to the nation with her skills.

Truthfully, she wasn’t originally from the empire. Lady Mililian was a princess from the Flameborn kingdom, a small nation that was subordinate to the empire.

It was a small nation. Once she graduated from Stanox, she chose to study further in the heart of the empire to become a better asset to her house.

But things didn’t go as she had wanted... She met someone, a dashing young man, and now they had been together for thirty five years.

Their oldest daughter should be around thirty three by now, but they have not seen her for many years now.

They were hopeful that she was alive somewhere, but they had no way of knowing the state that she was in right now.

It wasn’t a good thing, but then again, they had their other children to nurture. The rest of his family was still here with him, and he needed to look after what he had left.

"Oh..."

"Look at them."

"That’s a LaVan. All of them are wearing LaVans right now!"

"How did they do it... we must ask them!"

The entire hall fell into a state of chaos when their hosts, the Sungrades, walked out in their special outfits decorated so uniquely that none of the ladies or nobles in the fashion business had ever known anything like it.

This was new, unknown, unreal, and extraordinary.

The people of the current age had never known what this kind of style really meant.

The necks of their outfits were short, much of their Lady’s back portions were open and more breathable, and even if it wasn’t vulgar, there was a certain kind of elegance to it.

The world famous personal tailors, LaVans, do not make outfits even for the richest families. They follow a vision.

They are the standards which define the fashion of high society. Not just anyone could purchase their clothes even if they have immense wealth.

There was a separate waiting line if one wanted anything, much less something that was never seen before.

And while it does happen very rarely, it was unheard of for them to make so many of the dresses for just one particular family.

The First Lady of the house, the Second Lady, and her daughter, even the rest of them... the five ladies of the house were wearing stunning, modern clothes right now.

They had become the light of the party in an instant.

The little girl who shared her birthday with the patriarch was also one of the spotlight holders right now.

She was so pretty and cute that there was no one else in this room who could ever compare to her.

She was a spitting image of the patriarch. And to those who were sensitive to spirit arts, she was also one of the few breathtaking talents.

-Swiiiiiiiiiiiiiiish...

As winds flew around this open hall, the people who came to greet the people of Sungrade were asking one particular question: how they got their outfits.

They outshined every single lady and every single person in this room. Some foreign royalties were present here in their generational garments, and they seemed nothing in comparison to what they had right now.

From the little piece of special jewellery to the way they had put their makeup, it almost seemed unholy.

It mesmerised the ladies and it made the men lose their heartbeats.

There were quite literally some nobleman who ended up fainting.

None of them could understand whether it was the clothes, the way they looked, or the special scents that they were wearing right now.

But whatever it may be, they were the Sungrades, their hosts, and their image of envy.

And if the ladies weren’t enough, the men of their house did not fall too far behind either.

"Lord Blaze... ah... I can die peacefully now."

"He looks so cool, kyaaaa~!"

"Lord Ian! Lord Ian~!"

"Look at Lord Vol-."

"Shhh. He’s off limits."

"Ah, I’d commit the sin anyways."

Including the married father of a child, the three young men of the Sungrade had put the ladies at the gathering under a new spell.

And along with the three older brothers, the two younger ones had the same effect on the younger ladies.

"That’s young master Prism?"

"Wow..."

"Just... wow..."

"Lord Able is cooler!"

"No he isn’t!"

The parents who watched their young and old daughters drool at these Sungrade boys couldn’t help their embarrassment.

This wasn’t just a celebration anymore, it almost seemed like a mockery. A mockery that one would gladly endure if the sight before them was so stunning.

They couldn’t help it, the people’s hearts weren’t their own anymore.

-Ooooooooooooooooong!

"Welcome, everyone. We thank you all for graceing us with your presence."

When the Sungrade lord appeared from his familiar green flames in a similarly unique but more luxurious LaVan, the older men drop their glasses. Literally.

"We hope you’re enjoying our courtesy."

He was respectful towards the others as he always is. But, there was still an air of unique joy around him.

He seemed happy right now... it was strange to the people present but today, the Sungrade Lord really seemed to be in a flowery mood.

It was a big day for him today.

All of his family was here.

Everything around him looked much better than he might have expected, so he liked this.

The decorations, their clothes, the way people reacted towards these simple items, strangely, he liked it.

He wasn’t used to these envious looks. For him, fashion had never been a significant thing.

His great wife had been the one to look after his clothes, but today, it was his son.

The first son that had ever dressed him up.

And that made him happy.
