Chapter 1359 - 1358: Don’t Speak, Kiss Me
Looking at that little expression on Nia Mitchell’s face, Maxwell Peary’s eyes were overflowing with tenderness.
"You, huh!"
He wanted to lecture her about something, but couldn’t find the right words, so he could only reach out and ruffle her hair.
"I know, it’s because Uncle missed me, right?"
Nia instantly acted like she’d discovered a new continent, her eyes shining as she looked at him.
To Nia, being doted on like this by Maxwell was probably her happiest little daily life.
"Mm."
The CEO was straightforward, didn’t pretend and didn’t hide it, just nodded and admitted it.
Getting the CEO’s confirmation, Nia’s heart bloomed with joy.
"Uncle, I just knew you definitely couldn’t let me go, but I really didn’t expect you’d actually fly over here directly."
She’d thought at most he would just call her a whole, whole bunch of times in one day.
But he hadn’t done that at all.
She never imagined he’d have something like this planned, waiting for her.
Staring at Rabina Mitchell’s chattering little mouth, Maxwell’s mind and heart were already wandering.
He really couldn’t hold back anymore, so he just scooped her over and kissed her firmly.
"Mmph..."
Nia raised her little pink fists and thumped the CEO’s shoulder a few times, but without any real strength.
...
The CEO hurriedly dragged her into the hotel, but he hadn’t expected to run into Fiona Sutton in the lobby.
"Eh? Young Master Peary."
Fiona was stunned. Nia just went out for a bit, how did she come back towing Young Master Peary along?
Nia’s face was flushed red as she just stood there, completely at a loss.
Like she’d done something bad and gotten caught.
"Nia Mitchell, I was just wondering why you were taking so long to come back, I was just about to come out and look for you."
There was laughter in Fiona’s eyes; seeing how red Nia’s face was, she knew that just now the two of them had definitely been very sweet.
Maxwell watched Nia talking with Fiona, then went alone to the front desk to book a room.
"Uncle, we’re going back to Capital Town this afternoon, you don’t need to book a room."
Nia saw what Maxwell was doing and immediately spoke up to stop him.
If Young Master Peary booked another one, what a waste of money.
Maxwell completely ignored what she was saying and kept on booking the room. After he finished, he walked back over in front of the two of them.
"Are you done talking?"
Huh?
Nia froze, blinking her eyes.
Only then did she realize the CEO’s question wasn’t directed at her, but at Fiona.
Fiona also paused for a second. Was Maxwell unhappy about seeing her?
"If you two are done talking, I’m taking my wife and leaving."
Fiona:...
Nia:...
"Okay."
Fiona nodded, and then she watched Maxwell simply reach out and pull Nia away.
Leaving Fiona standing there completely baffled. Who did she even offend?
Nia followed along in a daze, just letting Maxwell pull her. Once they stepped into the elevator, she immediately widened her eyes.
"Uncle, how could you say something like that? Fiona’s alone in the lobby, and she’s pregnant too, it’s not safe like that, do you even realize that? And also..."
"Mmph..."
Maxwell simply bent down and sealed her chattering little mouth, and this time it wasn’t like in the taxi earlier—it was scorching hot.
When she felt the CEO’s hand starting to get dishonest, Nia very clearly began struggling nonstop.
"Uncle..."
Nia finally managed to grab a tiny gap in which she could squeeze out those two syllables.
"Mm."
Maxwell’s throat worked as he held her tightly.
"Y-you... can you let me go, please?"
He was squeezing her so hard she felt like she couldn’t even breathe.
"No."
Maxwell practically wanted to squeeze her right into his bones.
