Chapter 1370 - 1369: Break Up Decisively
"Where’s Owen Lewis?"
Andrew Davidson finally found a topic to start speaking, so he immediately asked Annie Davidson.
Annie returned to her seat.
"In the back."
Just as Annie finished speaking, unsurprisingly, Owen Lewis pushed the door open and appeared.
Opening the door, he saw everyone looking at him.
Owen Lewis was momentarily stunned. What’s going on?
Did he have something dirty on his face?
Couldn’t be.
"Owen, we’re about to wrap up. Have you finished eating?"
Andrew broke the awkward silence by speaking up.
Everyone had drunk quite a bit of wine tonight, especially Annie, who hadn’t fully recovered yet.
"I’m done eating."
Owen Lewis nodded and then returned to his seat to grab his coat.
Everyone stood up, ready to leave, with Nia Mitchell and Maxwell Peary holding hands, looking very sweet.
Due to Andrew’s status, he left the hotel first.
At some point, a light drizzle started outside.
Maxwell Peary frowned.
"Be careful with your footing, okay?"
Nia Mitchell: ......
It was just one fall.
And that fall happened because her shoes weren’t properly tied, and the laces had come undone.
Also, she never told the CEO that she was rushing upstairs to find him.
Knowing Maxwell was angry out of concern that she might upset her stomach, and since they had already planned for a baby, she shouldn’t have eaten so much ice cream at once.
Annie Davidson grabbed an umbrella from the counter and walked forward.
Come to think of it, it’s kind of unbelievable that she didn’t even buy a car or have any mode of transportation.
She used to always ride in Owen Lewis’s car, but now she could only hail a cab.
Looks like she’ll have to go car shopping in a few days.
"I’ll drive you!"
Owen Lewis shouted from behind her and went to start the car.
Would Annie wait where she was?
What a joke, of course not.
By the time Owen Lewis drove over, Annie had already walked far away.
But with the car, it’s easy to catch up, and soon he was right beside Annie.
"Get in the car, quickly!"
The rain was getting heavier, and her body hadn’t fully recovered; she could easily catch a cold.
On one side, Maxwell Peary glanced at the situation, then sped off with Nia Mitchell.
Annie ignored Owen Lewis, quickening her pace and continuing forward.
"Beep beep beep beep!!!"
Owen Lewis honked furiously, opening the window slightly.
"Get in the car quickly, don’t be reckless with your health!"
Hearing this, Annie stopped in her tracks.
"Not getting in your car means I’m being reckless with my health?"
What’s that logic?
She just didn’t want to have anything to do with him. Didn’t he understand?
"Get in the car, quickly!"
Annie continued to walk forward.
Watching her, Owen Lewis angrily slammed the steering wheel, swiftly unbuckled his seatbelt, and got out of the car.
The pouring rain swiftly soaked his hair.
"Annie!"
Owen Lewis stood in front of Annie, blocking her path.
"I’ll drive you back to the hospital."
Just then, a taxi passed by, and Annie flagged it down directly.
"Owen Lewis, I told you, I don’t want anything to do with you anymore."
Throwing out these words, Annie got into the taxi and left.
Only Owen Lewis remained, standing in the rain.
Letting the rain fall down, letting the cold wind blow past.
......
