Former General Is Undead Knight

Lesson 5 Bandits ①

Lambert, alone, kept walking in the woods with the sound of metal armored joints meeting.

Near Lambert, demons were neglected and even insects and animals were not visible.

Even if Lambert senses an animal's mana, it disappears quickly.

(That's odd...... too quiet. What the hell happened while my body was left...)

Lambert was anxious and heightened his vigilance.

Demons, animals, and insects are basically better explored than humans.

Lambert was of the opinion that there should be some absurd danger lurking where they were not close.

Lambert's prediction was half hit.

What is hitting me is that there is a tremendous danger lurking, and what is off is that it is Lambert himself.

The demons hid themselves in fear, knowing the strength of Rambal from the leaking Mana.

If you are an organism, it is natural to keep releasing trace amounts of mana out of your body...... demons, especially undead, have more of that amount than normal organisms.

Unless consciously suppressed, they continue to intimidate their surroundings.

The trace amount of mana that demons release to their surroundings is also called temper, causing discomfort and fear, as well as causing illness depending on the type of demon.

Lambert, who had just become undead and whose human ego was far stronger than that of a normal individual, had no sense that he was exasperating.

(Totally, I haven't been able to pick up any human signs... from earlier on, don't just grab the odd demon signs. I wish it was a demon about an aug earlier......)

Lambert continued to run afterwards.

Eventually the sun fell and the morning sun rose.

With a nostalgic morning sun on his ass somewhere, Lambert realized he wasn't feeling tired at all.

He says he's already been on an insomniac break and running for nearly half a day, but he's not seeing his health take its limits at all.

The undead knows no fatigue, nor sleeps.

Lambert, who found out about it, got a little lonely.

I felt told again that I was no longer a living being, that I was a finished person and a distorted life.

Lambert thought about his new body from another side after he had organized his feelings, and one was surprised by its high performance.

(Insomnia restless... tireless body...? If it's on the battlefield, what a thank you. I didn't know you could always move at all costs. If the war is not over yet, you may have been fortunate to abandon your flesh and get your present body. If you undead all four demon generals of the Kingdom of Legions, you're confident you can drop one castle for just four)

Lambert, who had abandoned himself and devoted himself to his country, had a slight discrepancy from the constant.

Switching minds, Lambert ran through the woods at full speed, hoping he wouldn't run out of strength anyway.

(... but you still don't see any other animals at all. Even with all this running, I didn't know it was still an example demon territory! Sounds like a demon with a lot of influence)

In the end, Lambert was unaware of his mistakes.

A while further down the road, Lambert sensed the animal's mana.

Unlike animals I have ever sensed, they seemed to stop motionless.

Lambert first decided to make contact with the owner of this mana.

As Lambert approached the signs of Mana, he found a lean, thin girl sitting on a rock.

Her face was pale and her cheeks were shredded off, and her arms were as thin as tree branches.

I haven't had a decent meal in days.

In the girl's footsteps, a bow and an arrow barrel, then a bird stabbed with an arrow, fall.

Looks like he was in the middle of a hunt.

If you're hungry, you can eat your own tailored bird, but there's no way to get your hands on it.

Just a desperate dark look, staring at the ground.

Lambert stood in front of the girl and appeared.

The girl slowly lifted her face and turned to Lambert.

Humans have a slightly inferior ability to sense mana and temper than other animals.

That's why the girl didn't notice Lambert's impatience.

"Hey, there's the woman. How old is Legions now? I want you to tell me what's going on with the war against the kingdom of Maculus."

The girl looked at Lambert and opened her eyes.

The unfamiliar appearance of full-body armor and Lambert's undead temper made me feel a little scared.

But expectations were only marginally budding in the girl.

The girl stood up and walked over to Lambert.

"Oh, um... could you possibly be the private soldier of Count Obock? Others..."

"... Ovoc? No, that's a name I don't know. Besides, I'm alone now."

The color of joy and anticipation that was floating in the girl's face faded away.

He returns to the same dark face as the beginning, shaking his head slowly.

"Yes... right? You better get out of here now."

"What?"

"Actually my village was occupied by bandits...... my ill-bodied mother and my still little sister were taken hostage and this is how I hunt every day...... Even the other day, an adventurer came who suspiciously interrupted a call from the village...... all three of them were immediately caught. You, too, stay out of it..."

Hearing that, Lambert was convinced.

That would also convince me that I am clearly starving but not getting my hands on the prey I gained from the hunt.

I would also have mistaken him for a private soldier of the Count because I wondered if the Count, who perceived the crisis in the village, had struck me with any hand.

"... but I had never heard of such a village in a forest along the border. Plus... that's a little hard to hear pronunciation. Oh, I see... you've apparently gone deep into the side of the Kingdom of Maculus while you were running"

"Borders...? Kingdom of Maculus......? Um, what are you saying from earlier?

"What?"

"This is from the Kingdom of Legions, which, I think, is pretty central..."

"Hey... what!?

Lambert was normally upset.

The girl was astonished by Lambert's surprise and shook her shoulders with horror.

(Holy shit, you think this is the middle of the Kingdom of Legions? Does that mean...... that His Majesty Aurelia has already achieved the unity of the West by finishing the battle against the Kingdom of Maculus! Besides, when it comes to making it to the village... isn't it over twenty years old already? So... Aurelia Your Majesty is already at the age at which you may have grandchildren... Oh, my God... oh, my God... it's been twenty years, etc., I never thought of it. A little bit, my mind is ready…)

In fact, it had already been more than two hundred years since Lambert was pushed down to the bottom of a cliff by Griff.

It's only a distant old story, such as the kingdom of Maculus, and Aurelia, where Lambert turns his complex love hatred, has died a long time ago.

"Um..."

Lambert held on to his armor helmet for a while and wolfed, but the girl called him and returned to me.

"... Speaking of which, woman, do you recognize this armor?

"Yes, no, I'm sorry..."

"Right..."

That's what Lambert thought the girl couldn't help but know 'Legionics Orgajera Armor'.

The girl was born when the war was already over.

It was to feel the difference and loneliness of generations, but I had no choice.

Lambert decided that the Four Demons were either already gone, or they would have changed their shape dramatically even if they weren't.

(... Besides, you better not be known for your qualities. If there is a noise that the former Four Demons General's Rambal has turned out, he will come to an obstacle to gathering information in the future. Around the glyph could be dispatched. He'll win next time...... nothing, I don't think I want to kill him)

For the record, Griff, one of Lambert's former great best friends, the Four Demons, is dead a long time ago.

(This time they didn't seem to notice because they were kids... maybe they should get a plain, normal full plate armor sooner)

The protective equipment that is out in today's world was overlaid with lightening, mainly breastplate and leather armor that protects the minimum human body steeple, and the full plate armor itself is an evil noticeable substitute, but Lambert could not have known that.

"Mm, because the village is close... it's dangerous here. If you go that way, you should be able to escape...... Um, tell the Earl of Orbok about this! If I leave the village, my mother and sister, being taken hostage, will be killed...... Please!

The girl tells him to go to Lambert.

"No, that's not necessary"

"What..."

"I look like one of those knights who used to serve his country. If the people of the Kingdom of Legions are to be threatened by bandits, there is no reason to miss them. I'll put a piece on it."

There was an inseparable part about Aurelia's treatment of herself, but Lambert never forgets her patriotism.

More so than the former, Lambert has long been of an unusually strong nature with a sense of justice.

"Mmm, it's impotent! There are more than thirty bandits!

"Like a burglar without a decent workout, there's not enough to be afraid of any number of them. Take me to the village."

"So, but..."

Even as a girl, if Lambert, who took him as far as the village as this, was lightly defeated by bandits, he would not have figured out what kind of eyes he and his family would get.

It was not easy to take on.

Lambert remembered being slightly irritated.

From Lambert's point of view, it was utterly incomprehensible why the girl would not entrust herself with the success or defeat of a bandit.

A gathering of relaxed people who don't have a proper teacher, hardly any workouts, and who have no faith whatsoever.

That was Lambert's perception of the bandits.

If you look from Lambert, one of the four demon generals who was told by the Kingdom of Legions that he had human weapons, he is nothing short of fearing a bandit at all.

Lambert thought that even if the girl didn't know Legionics Orgajera Armor, it shouldn't be any different to that brilliance that moves into her eyes.

It was treated as very common sense in the days of Lambert that ordinary people would not be enemies to become a bunch at the top of a military man who worked out his body to the extreme.

But times have changed, and superhuman beings, such as those of the time, rarely appear to people living in a stable state.

Lambert and the girl's perception was different in that regard and they couldn't understand each other.

"Don't make me say it again and again. I'm telling you to show me to the village."

Out of frustration, he leaked intensely from Lambert's body.

The concentration was too much to give even the girl, who was dull in her senses of mana, a strong sense of intimidation.

The girl shuddered and blued her face.

Lose your hips and get into the spot.

I was just facing a man wearing weird armor, and it was like I was being stared at by a demon far bigger than I was.

predators and predators. Lambert's temper as an undead imprinted such an instinctive difference in power relations into the girl's brain.

- Kill me.

It was so overwhelmingly intimidating that I thought so.

"Ah... oh..."

Opening my mouth to spin words, but it didn't take shape.

It was Lambert who was upset to see the girl scared.

"Oh, you were being threatening. I'm sorry... I'm sorry, but I'm not used to handling children."

He hesitates and moves his arms to strike a gassy and metal sound.

Lambert looks at the girl and wonders if her armor helmet is off, holding her down with her hands and touching her pet.

(Hey, okay... it's okay... hey, it should be...)

Why was the girl so scared?

Lambert turned his consciousness to the fact that where the exposure of the face that was the candidate disappeared, there was a feeling that something was overflowing from the back of his body.

(No way... is there a leak of air from my body? You've become so much of a monster. I...)

Lambert finally realized that he was distracted.

Lambert was made to recognise with disappointment that he had become a demon.

Then consciously, care is taken to minimize the outflow of air.

It feels like trying to force sweat into it, and it itches so much.

But it seemed to work, and the feeling of mana overflowing from my body stopped.

The girl remained in a leaning position and solidified.

Fear made my body tense and unable to move.

"... what do you say? Have you settled down a little?

Considering that the fear of the girl should have been alleviated by discouraging her temper, Lambert calls out again.

The girl slowly lifted her open eyes to Lambert.

Fear-stained eyes turned into confusion when he saw Lambert again.

"Ah... su, excuse me... and I got disturbed..."

The unexpected disappearance of the intense killing temper I had just felt and Lambert's bewilderment created a gap and managed to calmly pull the girl back.

"Oh, um... but really, there's an awesome number of bandits... I'm not lying!

"I know that... hmm?

Lambert felt human mana behind his back.

I'm not alone.

"Three, huh? Looks like you're a little out of line."

"What!?

Lambert slowly looks back and turns to Mana.

"Dude... how did you figure that out?

"Damn, I was gonna set you up by accident."

"Which way, armor like that idiot, you won't stab an arrow sooner. Especially since it's your arm. I just have to drag him out."

From behind the forest, three men appeared, each with a sickle, a sword, and a blowing arrow in his hand.
