Former General Is Undead Knight

Episode XXXIV: Count Obock ③

Lambert returned alone to the guild of The Spirit's Dusk.

However, there was little sign of people from the surrounding buildings, even though it was originally a small part of the street.

There were a number of footprints on the ground that would have just recently been followed.

As far as the guild of "Spirit Dusk" was concerned, walls and windows had been smashed down in the first floor liquor store "Spirit Dusk".

There is no doubt that there was also a commission from the Count here.

"… at the same time as the raid on the members, the domination of the home country? Sounds pretty thorough."

Lambert said pale, but inside he was burning his anger.

Though for a short period of time, I was thankful for 'Spirit Dusk' for bringing in Lambert, a suspicious figure, and for giving me the foothold to know the city of Einsas.

Fiona, Lloyd and Lily will surely be saddened if they find out about this miserable situation as well.

Plus, I was disgusted by Count Obock's vicious modus operandi of repeated harassment of 'Spirit Dusk' all around me.

I had never met him directly, but there was already no doubt that he was an outrageous evil man.

(Is there no need for further investigation? earliest, no other way to get in directly)

I don't know what the relationship was between "Dusk of the Spirit" and Count Obock, but it came with more or less predictions.

When it comes to those in power desperately wanting to eradicate this far, the market has been set since the era of the War of the Unification of the Eight Kingdoms with those who blade themselves.

Germain, the guild master of "Twilight of the Spirit," seemed to be secretly investigating Count Obock.

He also said that he intended to leave this place once.

Perhaps I perceived that the 'Demonic Golden Dragon' had begun to pay attention to the 'Twilight of the Spirit' and feared Count Obock would go into action.

Lambert took to the inside of the guild of "Spirit Dusk".

More than the former, "Twilight of the Spirit" is a small guild, and those who register as guild adventurers are not always in the guild either.

It is more or less about guild masters and receptionists and about two other adventurers.

(The reason I came all the way in here is Germain, the guild master? No, there are slightly fewer crowds here, but still the epitome of the big city...... if Jerman is the only one aiming, you should hang on to the darkness outside)

Inside the guild, there were no bodies.

I don't know if they took them all away or if they managed to get away with it, but there was still a first hope.

Open Germain's office.

Inside, shelves are vandalized and documents scattered.

"We've come this far, and robbery for financial purposes is not a good idea. You wanted to know how far Germain was in the process of investigating the Count."

When Lambert shrugged like that, he heard voices coming from outside the room.

"That's not all."

A skinny man kicks through the door flashly and wraps his black coat around him jumps in.

"Oh, I know"

As he answered, Lambert quickly pulled out the Great Sword and swung it wide.

Lambert's sword played the silver needle released from the window crack at the same time as slashing and killing the man who jumped in from the table.

The man was slapped against the wall as he ejected blood from his chest.

Lambert picked up a silver needle that fell to the ground and stared out the window.

It was a calculated way for one person to draw attention and the other to reliably punch a dark vessel from a blind spot.

But there was no way a small worker of that magnitude could have worked for Lambert.

"If anyone came back to see how things were going, they would have killed or grabbed it. I knew you were hiding. Adults, show yourself."

Lambert throws the needle back out the window.

A man who appeared outside the window grabbed the needle with his bare hands and broke the window with his body as it was and broke into the room.

Like the first, he was a long-sleeved man in a black-clad costume, something that did not extend to Lambert.

The window in the room broke to follow the appearance of the long man, and three more equally dressed men and one woman appeared.

Matches the number of signs. He seemed to realize it was no use hiding.

"Surprised. I didn't know a man like that was in the twilight of the Spirit. The main story was that the Demonic Golden Dragon would destroy the Underground Labyrinth after its attack. I didn't know you caught our sign. Since when?

The men were proud to hide the signs.

Especially the long-sleeved man who released the needle was a leader, it was hard to believe at first sight, such as his exact whereabouts, and he was angry that the silver needle had been slapped down more easily than his men had been killed in one swing.

"It was before I got in here. I felt five shades of humidity."

The long man heard it and wrinkled slightly between his brows.

He regarded Lambert's response as a mere provocation.

But Lambert's words were true.

The Raiders had successfully hidden the signs, but had not been able to outperform Lambert's ability to sense as an undead.

"Who are you?"

"Come on, find out about the souvenirs of the Underworld. We, the Back Guild," The Blade of the Dark Night "... No, let's not put it this way. In the shadow of the public noisy city of Einsas, the back guild is the provisional figure that hides who it is, we, the Count's direct covert force, become the 'Blade of the Dark Night'. I, the troop leader Heirzat. Don't think of many as cowardly, we have our own."

Saying, Heirzat stands with his hands crossed.

On both hands, each four silver needles are planted in the gap between the fingers.

At the same time that Heirzat set up, the other three also set up their own weapons.

"That's a lot of chatter, the modern covert force."

"Our main cause is not just assassination. If the assassination is defeated, I'll show you our coordinated attack from the front next. And... even if they throw my dark vessel back so beautifully and keep quiet, my pride will be obsolete."

…………

Lambert didn't know what Heilzart was talking about, and he was silent for a while.

"If you're such a tight gauntlet and you're thrown back so sharply, you're saying you don't have my standing. I'm surprised you almost missed it. I work together, I go around blind spots. But let's declare it. Absolutely, if you make up your mind with this silver needle and show it!

Saying, Heirzat jumped up quickly.

The remaining three also part in their respective directions.

Heirzat, strained to the ceiling, quickly released eight silver needles.

At the same time, the three of them slash each other from three directions to Lambert, out of time.

"What are you talking about?

Lambert waves the Great Sword three times.

The Great Sword breaks the ceiling and smashes the desk that was nearby.

The two men who came to slaughter him also slaughtered him, and the only one who could not withstand the overwhelming pressure of Lambert - and only one who pulled back - escaped the great sword.

Each of the eight silver needles also splashes in a different direction, and Lambert picks one rear end in it.

From Heirzat's point of view, all I could tell was that two of my men were torn apart in a flash and at some point a silver needle was held in Lambert's hand.

I don't even know what happened and how the needle got in Lambert's hand.

"Hey, what an early start......!

"You just said something strange."

"What?

"I just threw it back gently at you."

Heirzat finally realized, at this point, that the confronting opponent had reached an outward realm.

"Oh, that's why..."

The sight of Heirzat's earlier sight of three of his men being lightly kicked was telling him that what Lambert was saying was true.

Still, however, it should be noted that Heirzat was incredible.

Lambert strokes the silver needle tip with his armored finger and brings his face closer.

"The poison of transparency... I don't know"

Lambert shook his arm.

The silver needle released, Heirzat could not follow its orbit with his eyes.

Heirzat opened his eyes and was just stunned.

The needle penetrated Heirzat's chest and even the back wall.

"It would be quicker to just aim for the body than to wait for the poison to turn"

That can be said lightly is about a lambale that can penetrate the wall with a thin needle.

…………

Heirzat silently put his hand on his own chest.

After staring at the bleeding dripping, he grinned with a tense face and stared at Lambert.

My face is full of sweat.

"Mi, brilliant..."

One of the words was Heirzat's fullest strength.

Halzat bled and lay down on the spot.

"For specializing in assassinations, he was a man of much pride. I don't hate it, but you didn't seem very fit for a covert unit."

Lambert saw Heilzart take his breath away and quietly returned the Great Sword to his sheath.

"Hoof... no matter how rigid you are, you are a good enemy to Master Hector... Whether you win by force or not, that sword technique has reached exactly the divine realm. At best, I hope you're threatening me. You will never escape the Count again."

Saying so with a trembling voice is the woman, one of the constituents of The Blade of the Dark Night, who had not been able to cut off to Lambert earlier and remained seated on the floor.

"Well, look at the power difference now, and still, do you say that"

"I'll let you leave one foot away. Something the Count is afraid of, even if he returns alive. At best, I'll wait for you to be sent here in agony."

I say it to temperament, but it was obvious that it was just a strength.

I can see how scared I am of Count Obock and Hector.

Seeing the force enter the woman's jaw, Lambert flattened his face with a sheath.

"Buh!?

From the woman's mouth, blood and back teeth popped out.

On the back teeth, something like black stone is affixed.

"Poison for self-harm."

Lambert said pale and crushed his back teeth.

"Holy shit, kill him! Kill him! The more he pities his enemies, the less he falls...!

A woman calls as she drips blood from her mouth.

"I deliberately brought the most cowardly of you to life, who was hipster first. I didn't kill you because you didn't jump in. If that bothered you, you could have slashed all three of them then. You know what that means?

"Ugh... guh, guh..."

The woman got it in her mouth and moaned as she extended her fingers to the position where her back teeth were.
