Former General Is Undead Knight

Lesson 22: The Blood Mist Knight ①

Johann, one of the four great pillars of holiness, was rushing through the desolate Holy City and toward its center.

'... one thing, I want to ask. Underneath, I feel countless signs. What do you got?

In the chest, the words questioned earlier by the Ghost Knight are revived.

Johan did not answer the question.

Because in the underground passage there should be Cardinal Zebedai, the chief officer of the Inquisition of the Gentiles, the object of the Knight of the Ghost.

The ghost knight seemed to be guessing the general circumstances from Johann's reaction, but still couldn't have told him about it out of his mouth.

The holy capital Heinstier had underground passages available for some dignitaries from the poles to flee when they were attacked.

It was prepared by the upper ecclesiastical hierarchy, taking command and using sinners in the workforce, whose existence was strictly secret.

When it was completed, it was a thorough gesture to bury all the sinners who used it at that time alive.

Since Heinstier, the holy capital, was attacked by the "whistle-blowing demon," Simon, the head of the four holy columns, accompanied Cardinal Zebedai and a handful of his men, were at the mercy of measuring his escape from the underground passage.

But if that's all, you can't possibly feel innumerable signs or anything from the ground.

Joining Cardinal Zebedai and Simon and their men at best will not make them ten.

It was not supposed to be twenty or thirty, as it was described as myriad.

There's no way such a large number of people can enter a hidden underground passage.

Obviously something is happening, something unusual.

An uninvited group is breaking into the underground passage with some malice.

I just thought so for Johann.

It is inconceivable that the ghost knight spoke out to hang a shaking gesture in order to get information from Johan's reaction.

Instead, if you think normally, maybe you should have doubted that.

The purpose of the Horseman of the Ghost was to identify Cardinal Zebedai, who was clearly an enemy if taken from Johan, the four Holy Pillars.

Because Johan's position is that it can never be seen, such as the mysterious undead trying to make contact with Cardinal Zebedai.

But Johann didn't really think that undead, who called himself the end of the historic rebel Lambert, was lying on that occasion.

His words had the weight of unconditionally comforting people.

In his childhood, Johan had his hometown village burned by a magician who dyed his hands in death manipulation.

He was then picked up by Cardinal Zebedai, who had an eye for the hatred that Johann held, who killed his emotions with him to complete a rigorous training, and who continued to ruthlessly kill those who did not conform to the Church's intentions, and whose merits were finally recognized and promoted to the corner of the four Holy Pillars.

It is not infrequent that hearts and minds do not exist in the sorcerers of the heretical Inquisition, a golem that continues to plainly kill others.

Johann himself, he thought it was true. I meant to be thorough.

But the Ghost Knight only exchanged a few questions about Johann's never-leaking, embracing Goto, and showed him an understanding of all that.

He could not doubt that that word was just a word to extract information from Johann.

(But... why is something massive crashing into the underground aisle? Didn't 'The Whistling Devil' put the lower end into it this time? Or is the sign just the 'demon bug' they were manipulating?

From the former, "The Whistling Devil" has lost his life as a member of the Alchemy Division "Angel of Death," which hits a derivative organization in a previous battle in Tethomburg on Viscount Lagard territory, and a large number of magicians who were on them as escorts.

Johan thought so, coming into the hands of assault by the Eight Wise Men in order to attack the Holy Capital Heinstier without any further reducing its constituents.

However, the underground passageway of the Holy City of Heinstier was strewn like a spider's nest in the ground and was designed to allow you to quickly head outside from another route even when the passageway was prevented or destroyed by the enemy.

Simon, who is hitting the escort of Cardinal Zebedai, is free to make extensive sensations by witchcraft.

Assuming we're definitely going to hunt it down in the underground aisle, we do have to crush the route and surround it by putting in the quantity.

(I can't grasp things yet... was there a traitor in the upper ecclesiastical level who sold the underground aisle thing? Assuming the 'whistle-blowing demon' is moving by some means towards the assassination of Cardinal Zebedai in the underground passage... too much, too much cylinder out. Absolutely. Someone must have sold them the information. I'm afraid it's not an unlikely story that they took the memory out of the body...)

Eventually Johann was able to reach a tower high on the white wall, which was his destination.

It is the 'Tower of Sleep' to comfort all the martyrs of the Church of Heinz.

In the basement of this tower, there is one of the entrances that leads to the underground passage.

"I thought if I strained it here, I could catch the four holy pillars. That was a hit."

A low voice echoes around.

A knight in black armor fell through a two-tiered window in the "Tower of Sleep" and stepped down to block Johann's path.

If the knight in black armor stood up, he would have been no less of a giant than that ghost knight.

However, as a swordsman, fatally, he had no left arm and was a ship arm.

"You are Johan, one of the four pillars of holiness. Filippo, Matthew's remains are confirmed. And already our compatriot, The Rose of the Subworld, has followed Zebedai and Simon into the underground passage. And I will snap your neck. So the Inquisition is over."

…………

Johan stood silently before turning from there to the left elbow of the black armor.

"Whoa, are you showing us who you are? But it's not necessary. Indeed, it is difficult for me to say that I am fully fledged now. But you don't have to feel ashamed to kill a one-armed swordsman. I've already fallen for the devil."

Black armor said that much and gently pulled out the giant black sword on his back with one arm, waving it freely to show it.

"No matter what, it won't be possible. Do you use both hands to twist the baby's hand? I am the Knight of the Blood Mist, one of the Eight Wise Men. Decorate the final battle at best and die. Okay, here we go."
