Former General Is Undead Knight

Episode Two: Visit to Count Percilis' Territory ①

Leaving the Holy City of Heinstier, Lambert was crossing the headless Black Horse Nightmare and rushing through the land of the Kingdom of Legions for the King's Capital.

Already concerning the geography of the Kingdom of Legions, it has been organised in previous gatherings of information.

If there was a city to stop by on the road, we also collected information on the land and explored if there was a shadow of the 'whistling demon' somewhere.

Until now, the "whistle blower demon" has been handy and has carried out attacks on cities that could be a force of war for the Kingdom of Legions.

To Barailla, the capital of adventurers, Heinstier, the Holy Capital, which was the home of the heretical Inquisition.

Also, as far as Lambert looked into it, there seemed to be a continuing case of a strange group of magicians destroying an aristocratic army or a prestigious guild of adventurers, or of a family of nobles and luxurious merchants being massacred by private soldiers in another land where he was unable to be present.

There are few forces left in the Kingdom of Legions that can compete against the 'whistling demon'.

If the aim of "The Whistling Devil" is to overthrow the nation, I could imagine coming in full battle within the near future.

For that reason, Lambert had set a destination for the King's Capital.

There is no need for rest in the present Lambert, which is undead.

He ran across the earth across the nightmare through the night, toured markets and liquor stores if applied to the city, and gathered information efficiently anyway.

… However, Lambert's appearance, public ignorance, and stupidity sometimes developed into rubbing.

During his visit to a small tavern in a city, Lambert speaks to the shoppers in turn and asks them if there are any suspicious rumors in each territory or nobility, if they do not listen to strange magicians, or if they have any other noticeable information.

... Though it was thought to be in the way, the majority of them constricted if they saw Lambert's physique and the Great Sword, and few dared to try to defy him.

"... well, I never really cared, but thank you for your cooperation"

Lambert finished talking to one guest, that was then.

"Hey Temehe, Guard of the Lords or the Royal Army?

A slightly red-haired, dark-haired, middle-aged man came to Lambert.

The man's tone was rough and hostile to his eyes.

He also had a good physique for something inferior to Lambert, carrying a big axe.

Lambert figured he was probably an adventurer because he wasn't in order.

"Hmm... if that's two choices, something like a royal soldier"

Lambert conceived slightly and replied so.

"Don't be silly. I've never seen a soldier with heavy armor like that."

A man stuffs up to Rambal one step.

"Oh, hey, Paige, stop it. He's a little unusual."

An acquaintance of a man who has been involved in Lambert hangs his hand on his back.

Apparently the man's name was Paige.

"You idiot, you didn't want a guy like me to make you look great. What? He said he started interrogating me in a spicy state without even drinking. I'm going to answer anything. I'm not going to imitate anything like that."

Paige pays the hand of an acquaintance.

"Oh, you, I don't know because I'm drunk. You know what? I'm not gonna say anything bad, so stay back."

"Come on, Oi."

Paige stares at Lambert with a lingering acquaintance.

"I apologize for being impeccable. But there's not much room for choosing the means."

"Why don't you at least have a drink? Hey?"

"I'm sorry, but I can't drink anything like that right now."

"Don't be hard, I'll give you the luxury, Ola."

Paige had a nasty grin when she wondered if she had a glass of booze in her hand and tried to thrust momentum through it with the aim of rambaling.

Paige was going to put his nearly drunk liquor on Lambert's helmet.

Paige's acquaintance's face turns bright blue.

Naturally, Lambert was moving before booze splashed out of Paige's glass.

The palm bottom of the armored cage hand slammed off Paige's back of his hand and played his chest gently as it was with 'Lambert's Sense'.

Paige danced through the universe screaming, hitting her shoulder against the wall and falling flashly to the ground as she knocked down several empty chairs.

The glass that fell broke and the chair involved was damaged by Paige's amount of exercise.

How many bottles had fallen decorated with impact.

Paige hit the floor, holding down her bounced chest and worrying about her pain.

"I'm sorry, I was overpowered by something aggressive. Store owner... I'm sorry, but we don't have a meeting right now."

Lambert looked at the broken chair and said so with sincere sorrow.

"I'm sorry I overlapped on my own, but I'd appreciate it if you could help me with the store or something in time..."

"Kake, fine...... Yes, the chair was old too, so it must have been before it broke."

The shopkeeper shakes his head desperately with the face of please give me a break.

"... I seem to have made you care. But it really helps because I don't have much time. Let's make it up to you someday."

"That's fine too..."

Lambert walked over to Paige after he had finished interacting with the store owner.

"Once upon a time I was about to be exposed to poisonous liquor. I overreacted, I haven't either. Though, I meant to just slap it really lightly..."

Paige quickly rose herself up and retreated to stick to the wall.

Her face, which was already bright red, was pale.

"Hey, let me answer anything!

Paige said so desperately with her head down.

"Well, I appreciate that..."

Even the questions to Paige did not take away and get new information about the 'whistling demons' and noble trends.

But when Lambert showed disappointment, Paige desperately worried about it, and at the end of it she said this.

"That's right...! They say the price of Demon Silver (Mithril) may go up! Did you know! I knew a merchant who said what it might be profitable to collect even now... See, Swordsman, if you collect your purchases, you could still make money...?

"Of Demonic Silver (Mithril), Soaring...?

Paige shuddered when she heard Lambert's voice get steep.

"Hey, why did that happen?"

"Oh, it's not my fault! Really!"

Paige shakes her head desperately in the way Lambert speaks of pursuit.

"I know that"

"Uh... I don't know much about it, but they say a lot of merchants take it to Count Percilis territory after they buy it and fish it. Perhaps someone is doing some alchemy research."

Paige says as she bows her head peppery.

"So much magic silver (misrills) that price fluctuations occur...?

Demonic silver (Mithril) is often used to generate weapons and alchemy.

When it came to mass consumption, I couldn't imagine much better.

"The position of Count Perciris is... of the king's capital, right in front of you. Weird place, gathering magic silver."

Lambert holds his fist.

In the vicinity of Wang capital, there is someone who collects magic silver (Mithril).

To this fact, Lambert was feeling frigid.

"I'll do it with Paige, thanks for the info"

"Well, thank you... If it helped, it would be an honor..."

Lambert later left the store Paige, who had been humbled as if her first condition had been a lie.
