Former General Is Undead Knight

Episode 17: The Arena ①

Lambert began exploring Arakune's living room with Erik.

Erik carefully checks his desk and paperwork as he looks back many times on Arakune's fallen head nervously.

As the lower end of the 'earthspider', Erik has been used like a bug by humans many steps below Arakune, and he was taught many times about the horrors of Arakune in doing so.

It was too unusual a situation for him for that Arakune to be a corpse without a neck and that he was fishing for her room at will.

I couldn't help but be afraid that one day Arakune's body would move out and strangle itself, knowing that was impossible.

Erik pulled his trembling hand once and carefully returned the paperwork.

I felt like the demon's eye on the painting at hand was keeping an eye on itself.

Nervous and roughened breath, looking back at Lambert.

"O, my armored husband... you want information about the 'whistling demon', don't you? I just can't believe this place was connected to me..."

When Erik saw Lambert, he was about to slap and slash the stripping of the Warcraft with a big sword on every wall behind him.

Lambert steps on the leg of the Magic Gold Organ to crush the stripping that fell in two.

"Is it just a decoration? Sounds like there's no magical trick or hidden stuff."

Lambert breaks the shelf down, eagles the material from one end and fishes it.

"... well, why don't they look a little more politely?

"Are you going to come here again?

Erik turned his eyes again to Arakune's neckless corpse, then breathed heavily and decided to be ready, once he grabbed the carefully paperwork and spread it to slap it on the floor.

"Okay......!

Erik checks the paperwork as he breathes.

"... there is no doubt that there is a 'whistling demon' or similar organisation in this city. There are those who buy Demon Silver (Mithril) around the Count Perciris territory and are in smoke so that they can't trace the buyer's tail in this dark city. Besides... even if Count Percilis is somewhat obsessed, it's odd that the Dark City will expand to this point."

There are also examples of the former Lord, the father of Count Percilis, and his brothers having died in suspicion.

There is someone in the land who controls the royal family and noble opponents to repeat their obstruction efforts and keep them from investing in the management of the Dark City.

"Collect materials that might be relevant, anyway. Were you part of" The Earthspider, "too? Is there something you've never been hooked on? I was expecting that too..."

The moment the word expectation leaked from Lambert, Erik's expression attracted him.

"Oh dear......! Me, the bottom end of the bottom end, right? As opposed to Dear Arakune, I had never seen her direct reports properly...! Miss it, miss it, sir..."

"... I'm not threatening you."

Erik was fishing for paperwork with half a cry, but stopped his hand on the way.

"Hmm? Oh, this... I think it's my guy..."

"Did you have something to worry about?

"No, I was just wondering personally... really, I'm not a big guy"

"Well, talk to me."

Lambert dropped the documents he was grabbing on the floor in a mess and headed towards Erik.

"Ho, really, it's not that kind of clue or anything!

Deny it as Erik wields his neck wide.

"I'll listen and judge that."

"Well... I was kind of looking for a lot of people like that with no aftermath and arms to fight. He's in trouble with money, he's messing with something, he's buying big organization grudges, that's what he's like."

"Someone who's going to do anything for money or protection."

Lambert tilts the head of his helmet.

This dark city is likely to be enough to sweep and throw away people who act without regard for their own lives.

That's what I thought I'd do if I didn't bother looking.

Dare to limit it means that there is so much risk of death that there is a job that I want to leave to you.

It shouldn't be uncommon here to have a death toll in a protest between organizations, but it's probably a lot higher than a normal constituent, etc.

It also means that there are many mouths of work like that.

"I didn't know what I was doing that for either... I found this kind of thing. Looks like you were leading us to the arena and getting an intermediary fee for the introduction."

"Arena...?

"I've heard about it, too, but you've never been there. Looks like we're doing it in a pretty closed group, and this is the entertainment of the successful guys in this city. I'm good. I'm good."

Erik narrows his neck and says with a bitter smile.

Lambert approaches him and pulls the paperwork.

Erik grabbed his hand when he got caught up in it, saying his arm could be hit.

"... oddly enough, you seemed to have received a high amount of money? It's hard to say about this wealthy city, it's also a spectacle in a closed group, often so feathery."

"It's good enough, isn't it? Instead, he seems to be demanding a lot of skill from the fighters. It's just too much to say that you're just poor. The number is small, but Master Arakune and other executives should have saved an amazing amount of money. Yes, you must be hiding it somewhere!

When Lambert heard of the arena, he was recalling Charles' words.

"I overheard it when I was heading to Dark City before. Gather the swordsmen for the witch arena. I found out afterwards that I was listening, and they chased me awesome... '

Information from an entirely different aspect intersected in one respect.

Charles' words alone were weak in credibility, but more disturbing information could not be ignored than came out in the 'earthspider' relationship.

Lambert thinks with a caged hand to suppress the jaw of his helmet.

It may be difficult to enter as a guest.

It will be a big commotion when a suspicious person breaks in.

That should be quite a size.

You could get away with the goal or someone associated with it.

"... but to enter as a fighter, it may not be difficult"

So much so that I collect them without threading them on gold.

Besides, existence is not in itself a secret.

Because even Erik knew.

"So, sir, are you going? You should stop it. As a matter of fact, I've heard that both those who lost and managed to survive and those who survived are mostly missing."

When Lambert heard Erik's words, he held the great sword and slammed it to the floor.

Large blade marks ran to a row of floors and the entire building rocked heavily.

Eric was knocked down by a shake, poking his butt to the floor.

"Hih, hih, no! Please don't! If my husband gets busted, it could collapse! What are you thinking!

"I just wanted to say no worries..."

"... it just made me realize that I'm not worried about people's lives."
