Chapter 1203 - 556: Exceed the Task_3

"Ah... a movie trope from fifty-five years ago... really leaves you speechless,"

Double Leaf, maintaining her focus on the two, muttered with dead-fish eyes and then gently gritted her teeth, "That guy must have come over earlier, otherwise how could he possibly understand Cordova’s attack patterns so well? But when did the two of them become enemies... Also, if that guy gets killed by Cordova, does that mean I win the bet?"

Clearly, even though Motan had dodged Cordova’s attacks several times without losing a drop of blood, Double Leaf didn’t feel he would win; the gap between them was just too large. Even if Tan Mo fought desperately, he was no match for that hermaphrodite, managing only to stall for a few minutes at most.

"You are a worthy opponent!"

As Motan sprinted away, he turned back to yell at Cordova, "Although you were a member of the Heretical Church in your past life, you were also a spineful one, much stronger than those losers I casually stabbed to death."

Boom!!!

Cordova’s legs flashed blue, and he charged at Motan with a hurricane, reversed his grip on the Staff of the Punisher, and delivered a fierce Return Spear, "Who are you calling a loser?"

"Just a few unlucky dudes I stabbed along the way, probably too inconspicuous to remember clearly."

Motan, upon seeing his opponent’s back, decisively lay flat on the ground, dodging the Return Spear and rolled to the side, laughing, "The only common trait is probably just bad luck, hey, it’s funny, your forehead marks look just the same."

"I’m not cursed with bad luck!"

Cordova’s staff dangled upside down, stabbing at Motan like a pitchfork: "Die!"

For some unknown reason, the continuously flowing blue energy around him dimmed for a moment, causing his movement to slow, allowing Motan, who had been prepared to lose an arm, to narrowly escape the blow.

[I see, huh, smoother than I expected. At this rate, I might not even need to use [Escape].]

Motan sprung up from the ground using his waist strength, flashed a white-toothed grin at the abruptly slow Cordova, and laughed loudly, "Haha, you’re tired!"

"No, I’m just bored..."

Cordova, bombarded by a series of [Energy Insufficient 2%] notifications, coolly plucked out the cracked crystal on top of the Staff of the Punisher. Then, while a backup talisman energy still circulated within him, he pulled out a brand-new, fully energized [Revelation Crystal] from his pack with a flourish akin to a stunning card draw. He smirked as he pressed it into the groove atop the staff, "And prepare to beautifully destroy you with a technique called full-load overload..."

Ping!!!

The next instant, the energy-filled [Revelation Crystal] in his hand shattered, erupting into a massive black pillar of light that soared into the sky, strikingly vivid under the midday sun.

While the once suave Cordova screamed ’Damn treachery,’ he slowly curled into an OTZ, despairingly watching the madman who had once killed him, now grinning wickedly and approaching with two axes in hand.

[Did I just overachieve on this one?]

This was Cordova’s last thought before the self-destruct mechanism activated...
