"Hacker?"

Aside from Yi Dong and Motan himself, everyone else was startled. Yu Chen and the Ji Family sisters were still composed, but the other three boys were staring intently at Motan, echoing in unison, "Hacker?"

While silently cursing Double Leaf’s direct relatives in his heart, Motan scratched his head with some embarrassment and chuckled, "Uh, just a minor hobby. I’m not that skilled, far behind Double Leaf..."

However, Cui Xiaoyu, Wanyang, and Kanglan completely ignored his last two comments and just gazed at Motan with astonishment, feeling that the guy’s image had suddenly become much more cool and impressive.

Boys always have many dreams, like blowing up SEED, performing Qigong, having the beauty of the class/school fall in love with me, piloting a Gundam, becoming a hacker, and so on. Some are realistic, some are not, and becoming a hacker—especially in an age when the public’s awareness of network security is high—is specifically difficult to an exasperating degree. Although simpler than performing Qigong or piloting a Gundam, it’s still enough to deter the vast majority of young people.

After all, Cui Xiaoyu, Wanyang, and Kanglan had each given up at the ages of 7, 8, and 15, respectively.

"I do know about this,"

Yi Dong commented nonchalantly with a nod, shrugging as he said, "But he’s probably not that great of a hacker. At most, he’d just maliciously edit my group name card or something."

As Motan’s good friend, it’s only natural that he knew about it, so he didn’t hold back or hide anything.

"So that means..."

Ji Xiaodao frowned, eyeing the cartoon caricature representing Double Leaf and went straight to the heart of the matter, "Motan didn’t invite you, but instead, you came in through some kind of network attack?"

The chibi cartoon Double Leaf had a musical note pop above her head as she said with schadenfreude, "You could say that, but that hardly counts as an ’attack.’ Hei Fan... ha, or should I say, Motan here just didn’t have any defenses on his computer. It was like he stripped naked and lay down on the ground for people to take advantage of—it was impossible to resist~"

’This girl sure knows how to make insinuations, but she sounds pretty cute from her voice...’

Wanyang sent a private chat to Cui Xiaoyu.

’Yeah, it’s just too crass.’

The latter replied instantly.

With the assistance of NAVI, the exchange between the two was plainly observed by Mu You, also known as Double Leaf, who was camped in front of a pile of monitors. She wasn’t angry or bothered, knowing that her own way of speaking indeed had nothing to do with ’sugar content’ and was definitely somewhat crude.

"Hold on for a sec~"

Kanglan suddenly frowned curiously, pinching the bridge of his nose as he asked softly, "I have a question. I don’t really understand all this hacker stuff, but from what you just said, does that mean Double Leaf, you’ve been monitoring Motan all along? Constantly keeping an eye on his every move?!"

Motan mentally gave Kanglan a thumbs up, as he himself also wanted to know why Double Leaf was paying such close attention to him. He knew that if his computer’s security level had dropped, she wouldn’t have been able to react so quickly without paying specific attention. So, if she had been keeping an eye on him deliberately, why would that be?

Was she still suspicious of his identity? Or had she hopelessly fallen for me?

He thought shamelessly.

"Well, I have a surveillance program that’s pretty decent. Many ’colleagues’ that catch my interest are registered on it, and I get notified quickly if there’s any activity."

Double Leaf casually waved her little hand and smiled, "At first, I thought that Hei Fan’s computer had run into some trouble. As friends, I paid it some extra attention after getting the notification. I didn’t expect to come across a very interesting scene~"

"A very interesting scene?"

Ji Xiaoge’s eyes widened with particular curiosity, "What kind of scene? Was Motan watching something...."

She laughed mischievously like a naughty uncle.

Double Leaf shook her head with a hint of regret and beat the hesitating Yu Chen to the punch by spreading her hands and saying, "Not that, but when I hacked in, I happened to catch him deeply engrossed in a passionate conversation."

Passionate discussion, is that even a thing?!

Cui Xiaoyu and Wanyang’s eyes were nearly popping out of their sockets.

Yu Chen’s face flushed instantly red, and while she didn’t think she and Motan were having a ’passionate discussion,’ it was obvious whom Double Leaf was referring to.

"Embarrassed, are we?"

The chibi Double Leaf jumped around excitedly on the screen, her hands tossing a pair of sparking sparklers back and forth.

"Yu Chen?"

The observant Kanglan was immediately shocked.

"Motan and Yu Chen, having a heated chat!?"

Cui Xiaoyu, who often spoke without thinking, blurted out in amazement, adding fuel to the fire.

"Stop it, we were both fully clothed,"

Motan wagged his finger solemnly and then suddenly realized his remark didn’t match his current expression, quickly adopting a resigned look as he dryly said, "Double Leaf, can’t you just speak normally...."

Since Double Leaf always treated him as ’Hei Fan,’ a friend, she didn’t fuss too much. So, she controlled the cartoon paper doll to pout and huff, "Alright, alright, I’ll correct myself. It wasn’t a really passionate chat, just an ordinary one."
