Somewhere in the Southern Territory of the Skalan Duchy

"Is this ever going to end?!"

Narrowly dodging a fiery pillar that suddenly burst from the ground, Yi Dong, with his face full of rotting flesh, tumbled embarrassingly across the earth three or four times before throwing back a deeply freezing azure aura in rage, shouting, "You guys really have the guts to spare my life, don’t you?!"

The response to him was three ferocious and surging fireballs, along with a golden blaze descending from the sky.

"Holy crap!"

Yi Dong, in his Zombie state, was absolutely petrified, scrambling and rolling hastily forward two meters. Although he narrowly avoided the sanctified-looking blaze, he was still struck on the butt by one of the fireballs, sent flying amidst a brilliant burst of flames.

"Damn, he’s increasing the distance again!"

Mika Yuko stamped her feet in frustration, waving the massive scepter in her hand toward that fleeing figure in the distance, shooting out a crimson-golden beam, but once again missing because of his flamboyant and serpentine sidestepping.

Beside her, Lucie Yuko, clad in a flowing red dress, lazily moved a step forward. While holding a mana sphere, she laid down a firewall right in the path of that Zombie, all the while murmuring leisurely, "Actually, we could just let that guy run away, right? We’ve already saved that little girl. Why not just let him off the hook, huh..."

Xiao Qian, that’s not the right mindset!"

Casena Yuk hung her hammer, easily weighing two hundred pounds, onto her back, cracking her knuckles while speaking solemnly, "You saw it just now too. If we, sisters, hadn’t arrived in time, that little Lizardman girl would probably have been done in by that zombie guy. If we let him escape, who knows how many more girls will suffer in the future."

Lucie Yuko watched as that Zombie dissipated her firewall with a cloud of dubious smoke. Shrugging, she said, "But Big Bro, that guy is really fast. Mimi and I are both short-legged professions, and your mount is in maintenance today of all days. He’s really hard to chase down..."

"Indeed."

Mika Yuko, the somewhat irritable Sun Priest and Nature Magician, nodded unwillingly, sighing in resignation, "The cooldown on my longest-range summoning spell, Summon Treant, is up, but there are no trees around, are there?"

With dazzling red hair, a beautiful face, a fiery figure, and standing nearly one meter ninety, the ’Big Bro’ Casena Yuko chuckled, "No worries, Nana just logged in. I’ve sent her a message to take a shortcut and ambush him ahead. We’ll make sure that zombie guy is scared out of his wits shortly."

"About that, my Bro..."

Lucie Yuko looked at Casena with a forced smile, tugging at the corner of her mouth, "Are you sure the one who’s going to be scared out of their wits won’t be our Nana?"

"Uh..."

"Yeah, yeah, her courage is even smaller than Chenchen’s. You sure it’s okay to do this, Big Bro? That zombie guy is super ugly!"

"...Shit."

Elsewhere, Yi Dong, who was making an embarrassing escape, finally breathed a sigh of relief seeing that the three fierce hunters had not caught up. He then began to internally lament his misfortune...

Because he had promised Motan he would take Sak·Fris’s daughter to the Sky Pillar Mountain, Yi Dong had left the Violet Empire quite some days before with the little Lizardman loli. Taking a route through Scarlan to head northwest, but due to the incredibly numerous sects in the area, and a density of clergy far beyond that of the Violet Empire, as someone of the ’Eternal Race,’ he had been on edge this whole time, afraid of being purified if not careful. Thus, his travel speed had substantially decreased.

Only yesterday had Yi Dong, who finally got away from the densely populated areas, breathed a sigh of relief — but before that sigh was fully exhaled, they had the bad luck to run into a migrating pack of highly aggressive Redback beasts. Although they eventually escaped after a fierce fight, the little Lizardman girl was hurt in the battle and fainted soon after they got to safety.

Shortly after, it was 7 AM, game time was over, and before Yi Dong could think of any solutions, the system kicked him offline.

That night, Yi Dong, sticking to the schedule, logged on in time but had no plan in mind. Ready to carry the little Lizardman back to the town they came from for medical care, he then saw three sisters leisurely approaching from a distance...

Next, they screamed and threw a barrage of attacks at him, with the one they called ’Big Bro’, the tall sister, being particularly fierce. She came at him like a human tank, smashing straight through three trees.

It wasn’t until the Lizardman little girl was snatched away and he had been chased for ten minutes that Yi Dong eerily remembered he had forgotten to switch his life form. Subsequently, there was the aforementioned scene.

"This world really isn’t friendly to little monsters, is it..."

Yi Dong exhaled a long sigh, shaking his head mournfully. Although ’Eternal Race’ in his race column looked quite grand, it essentially meant ’Undead Creature,’ and in a place like the Innocent Continent, an Undead Creature is no different from being a Monster.

As for the safety of the little Lizardman girl, he wasn’t too worried. After all, Yi Dong was no fool; he knew he must have been misunderstood by them, but the situation at the time was too chaotic. Moreover, talking was difficult with his throat in its current state, making it impossible to clarify the misunderstanding; hence his current plight. Now, it seemed that the task Motan entrusted to him would definitely be unachievable, but for the little Lizardman, it might not be such a bad thing.
