Four Split Personalities

"Tsk tsk, visiting my secret hideout for the first time feels kind of exciting."

With guidance from the shopkeeper behind the counter, who also served as a mass-produced Red Heart Four, Scarlett sneaked through the active hatch inside the wine cabinet underground and found the ’changing room’ specially prepared for her at the end, entering with an expression of excitement.

Joining the Clown Brand was an accident within an accident for Scarlett Diesel. She truly hadn’t expected that while she merely intended to visit her mentor in the Violet Empire, that is, Archduke Fernan ’Hg Core Fernan’, she would somehow get swept up in the empire’s coup.

Although unaware of the ins and outs, Scarlett, who went to the Imperial Capital Salamun with Archduke Fernan (the Archduke thought they were genuinely going to discuss the plague, so he brought her along for fun) had high enthusiasm at the time. Not only did she participate in the investigation team as a member of the Fernan Family’s Iron Gate Guard, but later appeared as the Archduke’s close guard during the Marshal Territory crusade, causing a fair amount of trouble to the already balding archduke.

After that battle finished, somehow, someone told her that a man named Anthony Dubs privately sought her out and sent an interesting invitation.

In short, it was a proposal hoping Scarlett Diesel would become a member of a charitable organization, not requiring much obligation but offering plenty of benefits every month, and most importantly, it promised fun and excitement, not boredom.

Undoubtedly, this proposal hit the mark for Scarlett because she wasn’t the type to stay idle. This fact is evident from how she, despite being a direct lineage member of the Diesel Family, constantly sharpened her mind wanting to run outside the prairie.

Unlike Liya Delin, although Scarlett was a highly talented Knight, her sense of responsibility and honor wasn’t strong. Without being as heterodox as Jadka, she was still considered a quirky character, having a penchant for stirring trouble and unable to sit still. The reason she was permitted to leave the prairie to train with the Fernan Family wasn’t just because she had impressive shield skills but mainly due to her incredibly lively nature, always finding ways to bother people daily.

Honestly, rather than being a glorious Diesel Iron Rider on Caselo Prairie, Scarlett’s personality was more suited to opening a tavern or nightclub in places like the City of Freedom or Anka Market.

In summary, after the battle had ended, and while preparing to return to Caselo Prairie, Scarlett couldn’t resist the temptation when that man named ’Anthony Dubs’ blocked her in a room and talked for less than three hours before she agreed to his terms, ambiguously accepting the Plum Blossom Seven card.

Just a few months later, back on the prairie, Scarlett established a stable connection with Clown Brand. Unfortunately, subsequent contacts were always with a person self-referred as Red Heart K, not the Ghost Card she liked who laughed mischievously.

Indeed, although officially he should be referred to by his codename King within the organization, Scarlett still preferred another title, Ghost Card.

She felt that ’Ghost Card’ reflected the man’s charisma better than ’King’.

Afterward, unable to remain idle, Scarlett naturally secured a spot in the delegation participating in the Academy City exchange program. Upon arrival, she immediately met the Red Heart K.

Foster Ward, although Liya Delin and others weren’t familiar with the name, Scarlett, who actively absorbed information from the outside world, knew how remarkable this elder was. Surprised, she was equally amazed how the Ghost Card had recruited such an impressive person.

Mysteriously, Scarlett felt a stronger sense of belonging to Clown Brand.

It’s a sentiment many seem to share—when you discover someone you deem formidable is part of an organization you belong to, regardless of previous opinions about the group, your impression might instantly soar upwards.

Once the matters of the Comprehensive Knight Combat Tournament were finalized, Scarlett unexpectedly received contact from that K, realizing he not only knew about the Diesel Delegation’s tactical arrangements but had also prepared some ’backup measures’ just right to mitigate potential risks in the original plan.

’Win the team competition finals,’ Scarlett Diesel never expected this would be her first task since joining Clown Brand.

Truth be told, although she was a formal member of the exchange delegation, the prospect of fighting for family honor didn’t stimulate her much energy. However, right after Red Heart K’s contact, the enthusiasm ignited within her.

Those who find mysterious organizations intriguing aren’t limited to players like Showering Snow Sword with some slight youthful fancy; there are also NPCs who can’t stay idle and have a flair for imaginative thinking.

In summary, Scarlett Diesel remarkably gave her all, which explains why in the finals she rushed to Liya Delin’s side with real vigor, shielding her retreat back to the central formation.
