Four Split Personalities

Even though Yu Chen sympathized with the plight of the mutants, she knew all too well that those once-vibrant lives had now become utterly decayed husks, their souls corroded by an indescribable force. Therefore, even with her heart aching, she never once showed mercy or hesitation.

Her kindheartedness did not mean she was naive.

When there were no other options, Yu Chen could become decisive and resolute.

It was precisely for this reason that the Princess Guard had been able to hold on until now with her support.

However, the strength of one person is ultimately limited...

Thirty minutes later

The defense line of the Princess Guard had been pushed back to the topmost step. Despite everyone still being alive, their condition inevitably began to deteriorate under the relentless attacks of the mutants propelling forward, and even though everyone, including Yu Chen, was fighting with all their might, hope was becoming increasingly bleak...

The perimeter mutants had already been burned by a great fire whose count was unknown, and along with those slain by the group during this time, the results had essentially met the minimum requirements of the plan. However, there were still more monsters in their prime, and unless they were directly subjected to the burning, the heat and suffocation affected them even less than they did Yu Chen and the others.

Now, it had only been an hour since the fire began, and at a conservative estimate, everyone would need to hold on for the same amount of time before they might see the light of victory.

So the question was, did they have the ability to hold out for another hour?

Theoretically, it was impossible. If nothing went wrong, within ten more minutes at most, the first death would occur. Within twenty minutes, all members of the Princess Guard, except for the three advanced-stage Holy Knights, would be wiped out. And those like Snow Mane, already pushed to their limits, would only be able to hold on for about ten more minutes at most.

Yu Chen, her face pale with most of her skills in cooldown, smiled faintly, recuperating her magic points with the Condensation Technique triggered by Dark Interference as she grumbled softly, "That was calculated too precisely."

The young girl sighed lightly, intending to open her message panel and send Motan a message but ultimately didn’t know what to say and gave up.

She raised her hand and launched a Solidifying Light Arrow at a nearby mutant. This low-attack Divine Art was the only skill Yu Chen hadn’t used under Dark Interference.
