[Side Quest Chain?]

[Bone Bandits? Dragon Breath Wilderness?]

Motan was initially stunned by the system prompt, but then he revealed a faint smile. The next instant, his greatsword spun 360 degrees in the air and seamlessly pierced the chest of an enemy behind him, directly tearing apart the latter’s heart.

After learning the identity of the opponent, he held nothing back in his attacks!

Upon unlocking the second phase of the side quest chain, Motan had immediately researched the concept of "Bone Bandits" and had inquired about them during his stay at Sky Pillar Mountain through Femigel. The conclusion was that these people were disposable scum.

Regularly pillaging the remains of fallen dragons was merely part of their daily routine. These desperados roamed the Northwest continent year-round, engaging in all sorts of evil from arson and pillage to looting, and particularly favored hunting Half-Dragons, selling their scales and bones for a high price as alchemy props or forging materials through various channels. Despite having been organized numerous times over the centuries, new Bone Bandits continuously cropped up from the land, posing an enduring threat to the Half-Dragons on the Northwest continent.

Typically, the Bone Bandits weren’t very strong individually but they were numerous and mobile, easily scattered before organized pursuits and seemingly eradicated, only to resurface like bamboo shoots after spring rains. It was an endless cycle of eradication, with even the Dragon Clan occasionally intervening out of exasperation. However, these pestilent Bone Bandits, like poaching gangs lurking near Elves’ Forest, simply could not be completely exterminated.

More frustratingly, in this world indifferent to racial difference, there were also Half-Dragons among the Bone Bandits and Elves among the poachers. This was not surprising, as in every world and societal structure, those who forsake humanity for profit are not a few. Perhaps those with significant racial and skin color differences make it easier for them to alleviate some sense of guilt, but that doesn’t mean they won’t turn on their own kind.

[Unworthy of life...]

Motan’s greatsword whooshed past, spraying a string of blood from the throats of two Bone Bandits, efficiently and swiftly ending their lives without wasting an ounce of energy.

Perhaps his skills remained as ’upright’ as Darian had described, but once Motan began to kill with intent, as long as the enemies’ strength and numbers were within a certain range, his killing skills were no worse than his own as Tan Mo, even surpassing it!

In the "Orderly Good" state, Motan was not perfect, nor could he be said to be an absolute good person, as he never pursued objective justice and kinship but rather a subjective conscience of "guilt-free" righteousness and goodness. Thus, he had even once thought there was a mistake in the system’s alignment of his camp, as conventional "Orderly Good" seemed not quite fit for him.

However, whether it was achieving a true "guilt-free" conscience or practicing subjective righteousness and goodness, it all required capital.

Outside the game, this capital could be money, connections, power, physique, eloquence, etc.

In the Realm of Innocence, however, the corresponding capital was much simpler: sheer strength.

Enemies that can be dealt with by smooth talking are always in the minority. If one wants to prevent tragedies in the Realm of Innocence, then the simplest and most effective way is to become stronger.

Merely having the character to draw one’s sword at injustice is useless if one doesn’t have the strength to avoid being cut down simultaneously.

Fortunately, at this moment, Motan possessed significant capital in this respect.

If Motan’s three personalities were separated in real life, the "Orderly Good" version of him could single-handedly outfight the other two.

And in the game, where the three personalities were indeed split, "Mor," though the most peace-loving, was also the one with the greatest combat talents!

To people, he might show mercy and hold reservations, but upon learning the identities of these Bone Bandits, they had become "monsters" in his eyes, akin to Goombas in Super Mario.

"Too slow."

He twisted his body to dodge a Heavy Slash, then immediately used the hilt of his sword to shatter the opponent’s wrist bone. Plunging the Corona Slash Sword into the ground, he drew the One-Handed Sword of Justice Mandala with one hand, grasped the opponent’s neck with the other and tossed them into mid-air, right into a stray piece of tealeaf egg tossed by Ji Xiaoge, resulting in an immediate explosion that left them dead.

[Arc Shadow Slash]

As the One-Handed Sword’s attack speed far outpaced the greatsword, Motan casually swung his hand back lightly, producing a sword light that wasn’t very forceful but was extremely fast, precisely grazing past two Bone Bandit Rangers constantly harassing Ji Xiaoge, leaving a gash on each of their necks.

"Pretty cool!"

Ji Xiaoge cheerfully shouted, setting down the smoking Catherine’s Valkyrie and taking out the [Pigeon Brand Toaster-V4.26] engineering prop, shouldering it and starting to spray bread slices at the Bone Bandits. Though not as rapid-fire as Catherine’s, the bread slices packed more punch than raw rice grains, and with a scorching attribute added, matched with the tough yet unstable nature of the handmade bread slices, made them apt to explode after inflicting physical damage, dealing an equivalent small-range fire damage.
