With that, he glanced at Nina Sinclair, whose expression was growing worse by the second. He could only offer some consolation, "Why are you so worried about your grades? It’s not like I can’t provide for you."

「The evening after the last exam」
Several professors were in an office, grading papers.
Chloe Sinclair had sat in the very first seat of the front row, and her exam paper was so neat and tidy that the professors could find it without even having to look for it.

One of the professors, who happened to be grading Chloe Sinclair’s paper, had been examining it for over twenty minutes, yet he was unable to find a single error.
Hearing this, Professor Myers looked up. "A perfect score?"
"Yes."
Then he added, "The paper is absolutely flawless."
As soon as Professor Myers heard this, he pushed up his reading glasses, beckoned with his hand, and said, "Let me see."
The paper was quickly passed into Professor Myers’s hands.
He had only read the first two questions before his calm expression was replaced by sheer astonishment.
Finally, he let out a long sigh. "Chloe Sinclair has improved by leaps and bounds."
They had always said Chloe Sinclair was a Genius, but seeing this exam paper today—seeing theories that went beyond the scope of modern science—filled Professor Myers’s eyes with excitement.
"Actually, having Chloe Sinclair go to the School of Mathematics wouldn’t be without its advantages."
The history of mathematics in Zenthia spanned several thousand years.
Many of the computations they now used in their own field involved a great deal of mathematics.
If Chloe Sinclair were to pursue a dual degree, adding the School of Mathematics wouldn’t be a bad thing at all.
At that moment, the professors finally came around to the idea.
Still, one of them voiced a concern. "Won’t that be too exhausting for her?"
Professor Myers immediately shook his head. "It’ll be tiring, sure, but do you really think Chloe Sinclair is the type of person who can sit still and do nothing?"
Even in her free time, she’s probably still thinking about her experiments.
The professors exchanged glances and shook their heads with wry smiles.
"Fine, then. The matter is settled."
With that said, everyone lowered their heads and went back to grading.
This exam had been designed to be difficult, with many questions touching on material from the upcoming semester. What surprised the professors, however, was that most of the students’ answers were remarkably close to the standard solutions.
It wasn’t until he reached the very last paper that Professor Myers’s brow furrowed.
By the time he got to the final question, he couldn’t take it anymore and angrily threw down his red pen.
"This Nina Sinclair! I wonder how many courses she’ll fail this semester!"
Even a man as patient as Professor Myers barely restrained himself from swearing aloud.
