Chapter 376 - 465: Forced Confession
Chloe Sinclair nodded eagerly. "Yeah! I’ll go pick him up from the airport in a few days!"
’Come to think of it, Jasper Shaw should be returning to Kennet in a few days, too.’
Ethan Sinclair, who had been about to leave, stumbled. When he heard what Chloe Sinclair said, he practically ground his teeth as he nodded. "When the time comes, I’ll be sure to have a *nice, long talk* with Chairman Shaw."
Since Ethan Sinclair’s back was to her, she didn’t see his expression. Although she thought her brother was acting a little strange, she still happily agreed.
It was a blessing to have one’s feelings reciprocated, but the support of her family would make their relationship even stronger.
However, after Ethan Sinclair left, Chloe Sinclair didn’t see her brother for the next two days.
Not only that, but when she went to the lab to look for Landon Sinclair, the staff told her he had gone to Emberfall two days ago and wouldn’t be back until that evening.
’Judging by the timing, he must have left with my brother.’
Sure enough, they all returned that evening.
「Time flew by, and soon it was the weekend.」
Chloe Sinclair got ready first thing in the morning, then drove her little pink Audi to the hotel Summer Beckett had booked.
Over the past six months, Summer Beckett had sent her messages from time to time, so they hadn’t lost touch.
Summer Beckett liked to post on his social media, so Chloe Sinclair knew that he’d written a book in his spare time after getting into Kennet University.
One of his books was even published recently, and Summer Beckett had posted a picture of it online.
This time, Summer Beckett was treating, and he’d booked the reunion at a hotel owned by the Beckett Group.
With the "young boss" visiting, the manager naturally had to pull out all the stops, so the whole affair was quite grand.
When Chloe Sinclair arrived, a lot of people were already there, but no one seemed to notice her.
It was Summer Beckett who saw Chloe Sinclair and waved excitedly. "Chloe, over here!"
Chloe Sinclair looked up and hurried over.
There were over forty classmates at the reunion. Chloe Sinclair saw at a glance that some had changed so much she didn’t even recognize them.
Six months was enough time for classmates to change.
But her classmates hadn’t expected Chloe Sinclair to have changed so much, either.
Back in school, they had seen her in her own clothes a few times, but she usually wore the school uniform.
But now, Chloe Sinclair was wearing a white knit dress under a long black overcoat. Her hair, cut a little shorter, fell down her back in soft, natural waves.
"You’re Chloe Sinclair?"
Several of the male classmates’ jaws dropped, their eyes wide with astonishment.
Summer Beckett chuckled and teased, "What’s this? Our Chloe’s only been gone for six months and you guys already don’t recognize her?"
As he spoke, he glanced at Chloe Sinclair and clicked his tongue. "To be honest, I almost didn’t recognize her myself when I visited her at home a while back."
On closer inspection, her face was the same, but in the last six months, Chloe Sinclair had slimmed down and grown quite a bit taller, making her look incredibly vibrant.
More importantly, it was her style. Besides having the perfect figure for clothes, her outfit itself was beautifully coordinated.
It was a distinctive look, yet it suited her image perfectly.
Chloe Sinclair felt a little resigned.
’Although current fashion isn’t as alternative as it was twenty years ago,’ she thought, ’in my opinion, it’s not that much better.’
These clothes were all just her most basic outfits from before she died.
Since her rebirth, she had been exercising regularly and had grown much taller, so clothes naturally looked a lot better on her.
She simply smiled in response to her classmates’ compliments.
Suddenly, someone catcalled and whistled. "Hey, Sean Collins! Didn’t you have a huge crush on Chloe Sinclair in high school? Now’s your chance to confess!"
