"Are you sure about his identity?" Su Chen asked, a hint of doubt in his voice.

"Positive," Zhang Yiming said firmly. "He’s not making any attempt to hide it."

Hearing this, Su Chen’s brow furrowed deeper. ’This isn’t a decade ago. How can someone still be so brazen about trying to seize someone else’s assets? Does he think we’re living in some bygone era of poor information flow?’

’A person like that is either an idiot or has a screw loose.’ Byte’s market value had already reached six billion US Dollars, making it a major, well-known enterprise in the country. If any news about this broke, it would spread nationwide in minutes.

After all, Douyin was one of the largest short-video promotional platforms in the country. How could information possibly spread slowly?

’To dare to pull such a blatant stunt... if that isn’t stupidity, what is?’

’Besides, if he were really a third-generation princeling, he could make a fortune in the financial world just by coasting on family connections. Did he really think this was some dog-eat-dog world where he could just take whatever he wanted?’

’No company in this country worth over ten billion is simple. Who doesn’t have a powerful backer?’

After a moment of contemplation, he said, "I understand. I’m in Wudu right now, but I expect to reach the Imperial Capital around two or three this afternoon. Let’s talk in person then." With that, Su Chen hung up.

Yin Zheng, who was nearby, overheard Su Chen mentioning his return to the Imperial Capital and immediately arranged for a car to take him home.

Su Chen called Chen Shufen to briefly explain the situation. Then, he directly contacted the captain of the *Yunmengze* and asked him to prepare for the flight.

After packing his things at home, he got into Yin Zheng’s car and headed straight for Jiangbei Airport.

"This is really a drop-everything-and-go situation, hahaha. Looks like that trip to the western Sichuan loop will have to wait!" Su Chen joked.

Hearing this, Yin Zheng smiled and waved his hand dismissively. "No problem. There will be plenty of time for that later."

He wasn’t the least bit worried about Su Chen returning to the Imperial Capital to handle this business. He knew a thing or two about Su Chen’s background; with "those people" backing him, no one would dare cause him trouble.

Shunshan Prefecture wasn’t far from the airport. Yin Zheng drove Su Chen directly into the private jet terminal and stood by the tarmac, watching until Su Chen had boarded the plane.

As he watched the plane slowly taxi onto the runway, Yin Zheng hesitated for a moment before taking out his phone to make a call. His tone became much more deferential as he briefly explained Su Chen’s situation. After a couple of affirmative grunts, the person on the other end hung up.

The flight from Wudu to the Imperial Capital wasn’t long. Two and a half hours later, the plane touched down at the Imperial Capital airport.

The moment he stepped off the plane, he saw Zhang Yiming leaning against a Bentley and smoking a cigarette, his face etched with exhaustion.

"Yi Ming," Su Chen called out as he walked over.

A faint smile finally broke through the exhaustion on Zhang Yiming’s face when he saw Su Chen. "Mr. Su. I’m sorry to trouble you with a special trip like this."

"What are you talking about? I’m a shareholder. When the company is in trouble, how could I not step in to help?"

Su Chen patted Zhang Yiming on the shoulder, his gaze lingering on the man’s weary face. "Don’t worry. This will be resolved soon."

Zhang Yiming paused for a beat, then nodded heavily.

His knowledge of Su Chen was still largely based on their encounter at the Diaoyutai State Guesthouse before the New Year. At first, he hadn’t held out much hope; their opponent’s background was formidable, and he had been afraid even Su Chen couldn’t handle it.

But after he explained the situation, Su Chen had agreed without hesitation and immediately flown back to the Imperial Capital. It was then Zhang Yiming realized Su Chen’s background was powerful enough to challenge their opponent.

"Let’s go. We’ll head to the office first. I want you to call that guy and have him come to the company. It’s best to resolve this sort of thing quickly."

These things couldn’t be delayed. The longer you waited, the more jackals would circle, drawn by the scent of blood. On the other hand... if they could resolve this quickly, the road ahead for Byte would be wide open.

Zhang Yiming hadn’t expected Su Chen to want to handle this matter the moment he got off the plane. He was incredibly moved.

Once in the car, Zhang Yiming rubbed his weary face, and a flicker of his old confidence returned. He immediately took out his phone and dialed the man’s number.

Without much preamble, he scheduled a face-to-face meeting at the office.

By the time Su Chen and the others got back to Byte headquarters, Zhang Yiming’s secretary rushed up to them the moment they walked in. She informed them that the man had already arrived. He was waiting in the conference room with a large entourage, which included a well-known lawyer from the Imperial Capital.

"Hahaha, looks like he’s sure he’s got you cornered. Come on. Let’s go see what kind of person is so brimming with confidence!" A cold smirk flashed across Su Chen’s face as he strode toward the conference room.

Zhang Yiming quickly hurried to keep up. The secretary, having overheard Su Chen, could only pray in her heart that this Director Su would be able to handle the situation.

BANG! Su Chen threw open the conference room doors and strode straight inside.

He found the conference room was packed; a quick scan revealed about a dozen people.

At the head of the table sat a young man in his early twenties. His feet were propped up on the conference table, and he was engrossed in a game on his phone.

When Su Chen entered, the young man barely lifted his gaze. He glanced over for a second before looking back down at his phone, clearly dismissing him entirely.
