"Alright, you can talk to him!" Su Chen handed his phone to Zhang Yiming beside him, giving him a look that told him to take the phone over to the man named Wei Ziyang.
The moment he saw Zhang Yiming approaching with the phone, Wei Ziyang trembled, rising from his seat at the head of the table to accept it.
Su Chen glanced at Wei Ziyang, then looked away. He had learned quite a bit from Xiao Chen’s call: Byte had caused a huge sensation within the upper circles of the Imperial Capital, and anyone with a discerning eye could see the company’s future potential.
Just as Wei Ziyang had said earlier, Byte Company was indeed being circled by a pack of wolves. It was just that nobody knew whether Byte actually had any backing, so they were all still waiting and watching.

Su Chen hadn’t realized there was so much to it. He had been too naive at the start; the situation was full of twists and turns. The constant reversals were becoming hard to untangle.
You think there’s just one hungry tiger watching, but actually, there’s a whole pack of wolves circling behind you. And just when you think someone is holding them off, you realize he’s just the guinea pig they’ve pushed out front.
But regardless, it was time for this storm to subside.

"Y-Young Master Su, Young Master Xiao has something to say to you." Gone was Wei Ziyang’s earlier arrogance; his respectful demeanor stunned many people in the room.
Su Chen calmly accepted the phone and heard Xiao Chen say, "Once you’ve handled things there, come over to the house. The Old Master has something he wants to discuss with you."
When Su Chen heard that Elder Xiao wanted to see him, he agreed without a second thought.
"Alright, I got it. Let the Old Master know I’ll be over in a little while."
Standing to the side, Wei Ziyang heard Su Chen say "Old Master," and a cold sweat instantly broke out and drenched the back of his shirt.
After hanging up, Su Chen noticed Wei Ziyang was still standing nearby. Frowning slightly, Su Chen said, "Young Master Wei, is there something else? Or are you expecting us to treat you to dinner?"
Snapping back to his senses, Wei Ziyang waved his hands frantically. "No, no! I’ll leave right now."
With that, he immediately took his men and left. The man in glasses who’d been slapped earlier was, of course, among them, except he was being hauled away by two bodyguards.
Su Chen could faintly make out the furious look Wei Ziyang was giving the man in glasses, as if blaming him for his big mouth ruining everything.
All Su Chen could do was offer a silent prayer for the poor guy, who had clearly become a punching bag.
After Wei Ziyang and his entourage left, Zhang Yiming returned to the conference room, elated. He said excitedly to Su Chen, "Mr. Su, thank you so much."
Hearing this, Su Chen pretended to be displeased. "Yi Ming, what are you saying? Don’t tell me you still see me as an outsider?"
"No, absolutely not!" Zhang Yiming said, waving his hands.
But when he saw the faint smile on Su Chen’s face, he realized Su Chen was just teasing him.
"Alright, the situation is resolved. I’ve got to run, so I’ll head out now." Su Chen clapped Zhang Yiming on the shoulder. "You should go get some rest and ease your mind. Get your strength back—Byte can’t do without you." He then headed for the exit.
Zhang Yiming hurried after Su Chen to see him out of the company. Knowing Su Chen had a destination to get to, he had even arranged for a driver.
As he watched the car merge into traffic, Zhang Yiming waved excitedly. He knew it was clear sailing from here on out.
