"Did you install cameras in my house or something? I literally just lay down and you call me. Go on... what’s up?"

The moment the call connected, Su Chen let him have it, leaving Jiangyang on the other end utterly baffled.

"Er... are you coming to dinner tonight?" Jiangyang finally managed to squeeze out after a long pause.

Su Chen thought about it for a moment but decided to refuse. He knew that tonight’s gathering would involve more than just dinner. If he went, he’d probably just be a killjoy.

Jiangyang knew how busy Su Chen had been for the past half-month, so he didn’t press him when he refused. They exchanged a few more pleasantries before hanging up.

The computer in the study had been set up by Xiao Chen back when the house was being renovated. Its specs were so high-end they were practically impossible to find on the open market.

After turning on the computer, Su Chen didn’t immediately plug in the USB drive. Instead, he flexed his fingers and muttered, "I’ve had these maxed-out hacking skills for a while now. Time to really put them to the test!"

To be on the safe side, Su Chen decided to design his own firewall system from scratch. He couldn’t risk someone leaving a backdoor on his computer. If any important information leaked, it would be too late for regrets.

He laced his fingers together, stretched them until the knuckles popped, and then let go. "Time to begin!"

Su Chen’s expression turned serious in an instant, and a furious clatter of keystrokes filled the room.
