"The weather in the south is so much warmer. It’s perfect, aside from the humidity!"

Su Chen lay on the sofa, overlooking the Huangpu River. The bright sun warming his body was a sensation he couldn’t get in the Imperial Capital.

Before he could even enjoy a moment of peace, his phone rang.

Su Chen tilted his head to look at the phone on the table. The caller ID showed it was Sicong...

’I give up,’ Su Chen complained to himself. ’Did these guys all plan this together or something? Why is it so hard to get some rest at the end of the year?’

Though he was grumbling, he still answered the call.

"Hello~" he said, his voice lazy as he lay on the sofa.

"Heard you’re back in Shanghai? Why didn’t you say anything? We have to at least throw you a proper welcome!" Sicong said, his tone teasing.

"What’s there to say? Everyone’s been calling me for work reports. I just got home and my seat’s not even warm yet, and now you’re calling."

"Just get to the point. What’s up? You’re not calling to give me a work report too, are you?"

Su Chen didn’t bother asking Sicong how he knew he was back in Shanghai. It was no doubt Zong Xinyao who had called the franchise partners to discuss the annual conference and mentioned his return in passing.

"Uh... well, it’s almost the New Year, and you’re back in Shanghai. I was thinking we should all get together. Qin Fen and Feiyu are in Shanghai too. What do you think...?"

After a moment of thought, Su Chen said, "Alright. Where should I meet you guys?"

Sicong chuckled mischievously. "Hehe~ No need. We’re all in the garage downstairs. Come on down!"

Hearing this, Su Chen felt the urge to smack him. "Give me two minutes." With that, Su Chen hung up.

Su Chen didn’t take Chen Fei with him this time, since it would have been a bit awkward for him to tag along.

Just as he got up to leave, Su Chen paused. He turned to Chen Fei and asked, "Oh, right, Ah Fei, what about the thing I asked you to prepare earlier?"

It was something Su Chen had specifically instructed him to get on the plane back from the Imperial Capital, meant as a small gift for Aunt Tang’s grandson.

"It’s ready!" Chen Fei immediately pulled a huge red envelope from the inner pocket of his overcoat. It was stuffed with a full fifty thousand in cash.

Su Chen took it, weighed it in his hand for a moment, and gestured for Chen Fei to go get Aunt Tang.

Chen Fei walked quickly to the housekeeper’s room.

"KNOCK KNOCK!" He tapped lightly on the door twice and called out softly, "Aunt Tang, Mr. Su needs you!"

The door opened at once. Aunt Tang hurried out of the room, asking curiously, "Mr. Su, are you hungry? I’ll go make a meal right away!"

"No, Mr. Su needs you for something else!" Chen Fei said with a faint smile.

When Aunt Tang reached the living room, she saw Su Chen leaning against the sofa, holding a large red envelope.

"Mr. Su~"

"Mhm. Aunt Tang, this is a red envelope for your grandson. I wasn’t sure what gift to get, so I figured you could just buy something yourselves!" As he spoke, he pressed the red envelope into Aunt Tang’s hands.

Still a bit dazed, Aunt Tang felt a sudden weight in her hand. Peeking through the opening, she saw five thick stacks of hundred-yuan bills.

"Mr. Su, I can’t possibly accept this!" Aunt Tang said, trying to hand the money back.

Before she could extend her hand, Chen Fei, who was standing nearby, stopped her. "Aunt Tang, it’s a heartfelt gesture from Mr. Su. Please don’t refuse it!"

Hearing this, Aunt Tang looked at the perfectly calm Su Chen and said gratefully, "Thank you, Mr. Su!"

Su Chen gave a casual wave. "Also, I’m giving you a couple of days off. Go home and see that chubby grandson of yours."

With that, he strode toward the door. Just before he left, he could hear Aunt Tang’s excited voice echoing in the living room.

When he arrived at the underground garage, he saw three Lamborghini supercars and a Rolls-Royce parked in the aisle.

Sicong, Qin Fen, and the others were gathered together, chatting idly.

When they saw Su Chen step out of the elevator, they all instinctively straightened their posture.

"Old Su, you’re finally down! Didn’t you say two minutes? It’s been almost ten!"

Su Chen glanced at Sicong and gave a nod, then his gaze swept over the others. Besides Sicong and Qin Fen, Hou Ting and Chen He were also there.

’I didn’t expect Chen He to come with them. But his place isn’t far from mine, and with the rapid growth of "Goat Village," our relationships have improved quite a bit. After all, we’re all bound by a common business interest now.’

The three men quickly greeted him with calls of "Young Master Su!" and "Mr. Su!"

"Mhm. So, what’s the plan for today?" Su Chen asked.

"Let’s eat first. The usual spot, Young Master Huang’s. We’ll figure out the afternoon after we eat!" Sicong and the others had only found out from Zong Xinyao that Su Chen was back in Shanghai, so this was a last-minute arrangement.

Even the restaurant reservation was made by Sicong calling the owner directly and getting him to do them a favor.

"Alright~ Let’s go eat then. I’m actually getting a little hungry now!" Su Chen said, patting his stomach.

Everyone then got into their own cars. As for Su Chen, he naturally got into the Rolls-Royce. The driver? Chen He, of course.

Who else would it be? His standing among the group was the lowest.

The cars slowly pulled out of the underground garage and merged into traffic. The convoy of three supercars and one Rolls-Royce became the most eye-catching sight on the road, and the cars behind them all stayed at least ten meters away.

Su Chen sat in the passenger seat, gazing out the window as he spoke, "Chen He, how’s the Goat Village business under your name doing?"

At Su Chen’s question, the smile on Chen He’s face widened. "Mr. Su, you have no idea how booming the business is. Just for the three Goat Village locations under my name, the daily table turnover rate has hit five hundred percent. Last month’s net profit even reached over ten million!"
