Just as he expected... François Pinault’s voice became noticeably lighter when he heard this. Although he wasn’t a trailblazer like Arno, he didn’t want to seem weaker in comparison, lest he become a stepping stone for the Arno family.

"Mr. Su, I’ll have to trouble you with this matter then!"

Hearing Pinault’s words, Su Chen also let out a long sigh of relief and said with a laugh, "Hahaha~ It’s a small matter. In fact, I should be thanking you, Mr. Pinault, for returning our country’s cultural relics."

"Mr. Su, you’re being too formal. We’re friends, isn’t this what friends should do?" Pinault’s tone was much warmer than before.

The two of them discussed a few more details, but the specifics would have to wait until after Su Chen spoke with Xiao Chen to see how they would arrange things.

After hanging up, Su Chen didn’t call Xiao Chen right away. The previous call had lasted for about twenty minutes, and there was only half an hour left before the afternoon’s annual meeting.

"Let’s go!" Su Chen called to Chen Fei, and they took the elevator down to the underground garage.

As soon as they stepped out of the elevator, he saw three Rolls-Royces parked in front of him.

"Old Su, you’re finally down! We’ve been waiting so long the flowers are about to wilt!" Sicong complained upon seeing Su Chen’s figure.

"Something held me up. Let’s go!" Su Chen glanced around and saw that Deng Chao and Chen He were in the two Rolls-Royces behind.

This year, Yunmengze Capital’s annual meeting was held at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Pudong. The venue was situated in the heart of the Lujiazui financial and business district, right next to the famous Oriental Pearl Tower. From the hotel, one could enjoy a panoramic night view of the historic buildings along the Bund.

It was only a three-to-five-minute drive from Su Chen’s residence at One Central Residences, and the group quickly arrived at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel.

"Whoa~ They’ve really gone all out. Red carpet, colorful flags, and even a signing wall," Sicong said with some surprise, looking at the setup at the hotel entrance.

As Su Chen got out of the car, he saw Pei Rang walking out from the hotel lobby to greet him, accompanied by several other people.

When he saw the three people beside him, a flash of surprise crossed Su Chen’s eyes. He muttered to himself, "Why are they here too?"

"What do you mean ’they’ are here too?" Sicong asked, confused.

Su Chen ignored him and strode towards the hotel lobby instead.

"Boss!"

"Mr. Su!"

Su Chen nodded slightly, his gaze falling upon the three people beside Pei Rang. They were none other than the heads of the Huaxia divisions for the three major luxury goods conglomerates: Emma from the Louis Vuitton Group, George from the Kaiyun Group, and Hamis from the Richemont Group.

"What are you three doing here?" Su Chen was a little curious about their appearance, since it had been a while since they had last been in contact.

The three exchanged glances upon hearing his question. Finally, Emma stepped forward. "Our apologies, Mr. Su. We heard from President Pei that your company was holding its annual meeting, so the three of us took the liberty of showing up!"

Su Chen waved his hand nonchalantly. "It’s no problem. This helps raise our company’s profile, anyway!"

As he said this, Su Chen shot a look at Pei Rang, who understood immediately.

"Let’s go. It’s getting late, and I’m sure everyone is getting impatient!" Su Chen said, glancing at the time.

With that, the large party proceeded into the lobby.

Since there were too many people to fit in one elevator, Chen He and the others sensibly went to the adjacent one.

The moment the elevator doors closed, Sun Li, who had been composed just a moment ago, could no longer contain herself. She excitedly grabbed Deng Chao’s arm and said, "Brother Chao~ Unless my eyes were deceiving me, were those three the heads of the three major luxury groups in Huaxia? Why were they so polite to Mr. Su?"

Chen He, who was standing at the front, turned his head to glance at Deng Chao and said, "Old Deng, you haven’t told your wife about Mr. Su’s background?"

Deng Chao shook his head, a little slow on the uptake. The next moment, a sharp pain in his waist brought him to his senses, and he quickly explained, "How could I just go around announcing Mr. Su’s identity? Honey, I really didn’t mean to hide it from you!"

Seeing that Deng Chao’s expression didn’t look like he was lying, Sun Li finally removed her hand from his waist.

"Tell me, then! What’s the relationship between Mr. Su and them?" Sun Li was now dying of curiosity; if she didn’t find out, it would be like an unbearable itch.

Deng Chao thought for a moment before leaning in and whispering in Sun Li’s ear.

Sun Li’s jaw dropped in astonishment, her eyes filled with disbelief. "Oh my god... I knew Mr. Su was rich, but I never imagined he was *this* rich!"

Soon, a thought struck her, and she said excitedly, "Do you think we could ask Mr. Su to arrange some top-tier luxury brand endorsements for us? That would be a huge help to our careers in the industry!"

The moment she said this, the elevator fell silent. Chen He turned back around to face the doors, and Deng Chao looked like he was getting a headache.

After a long sigh, Deng Chao said earnestly, "Honey, you’re picking up the sesame seed and throwing away the watermelon. Should our focus right now be on how to get ahead in the entertainment industry and become Best Actor or Best Actress?"

"It’s none of that!"

"Haven’t you even considered why Mr. Su invited us to this annual meeting?"

"We’re on Mr. Su’s boat now. You need to look at the bigger picture, not just those tiny sesame seeds in our little circle!"

Deng Chao’s words were like a sudden moment of enlightenment for Sun Li. Thinking it over, she realized he was right. So what if they won more Best Actor or Best Actress awards? They would still just be actors.
