Mo Ning reached out and tapped the Vibrating Stone in Anya’s hand, adding,

"I just finished the calculations and have already imprinted the Second-stage Magic Vibration Frequency into the stone.

"Because different rhizomes are bound to have different internal structures, their vibration frequencies will differ slightly. The variation isn’t too great, though.

"So, what I imprinted into the stone is a frequency *range*. As long as you adjust the Magic Power output and spend a little time experimenting, you’ll be able to find the most suitable frequency."

After saying this, his tone shifted. "I found something over there. I’m going to go study it."

Mo Ning didn’t linger for even a moment. He turned and left immediately, his figure quickly weaving through the black steel pillars and disappearing in a matter of seconds.

Reina just stared at the Vibrating Stone, her beautiful eyes filled with astonishment.

Anya glanced at Mo Ning’s retreating back, then at the Dazed Girl, and asked in a low voice, "Finding the Second-stage Magic Vibration Frequency is difficult, isn’t it?"

The Noble Lady didn’t know much about this field, so she lacked a clear understanding of what it entailed.

She could only vaguely sense from Mo Ning’s and Reina’s tones that this was no simple matter.

Reina snapped back to her senses and nodded forcefully. "Extremely difficult."

The Dazed Girl pointed to herself, using herself as an example. "If I were to do the calculations, it would take me at least a month."

Anya was stunned.

Mo Ning had only wandered around for a few minutes, seemingly taking a casual stroll through the bamboo forest and doing nothing. To think he had actually completed a task that would have taken Reina a whole month.

The Dazed Girl continued, "Coupling two frequencies inside a normal Vibrating Stone—let alone a frequency *range* containing many frequencies—is incredibly difficult."

"I’m completely incapable of doing something like this. I’d have to use a [High Level Vibrating Stone]. Those can couple multiple frequencies, but they’re much more expensive, costing 30 Black Tower Points."

Reina sighed with genuine admiration. "Mr. Mo Ning is amazing."

Anya was well aware of how amazing Mo Ning was, so she didn’t dwell on the comment. Instead, she suggested,

"Let’s try out the Vibrating Stone now."

Reina was a bit impatient. "Okay!"

Anya handed the stone directly to her with a smile. "You seem very familiar with how to use this. You should be the one to trigger the rhizome’s resonance."

Reina took the Vibrating Stone without any ceremony. "Leave it to me!"

The Dazed Girl held the stone in her palm and slowly channeled a thread of Spiritual Power into it. A low-frequency vibration instantly spread out from her hand.

The vibration had an astonishing penetrative quality. At first, she didn’t feel much, just a slight numbness in her palm.

But after just half a second, she felt the vibration spread from her palm and rapidly travel up her arm.

The vibration passed through her muscles, her blood vessels, and her fascia. It continued upward, past her elbow, past her shoulder, past her throat, and then—shot straight into her scalp.

The tuft of dazed hair seemed to sense the vibration and began to tremble violently.

Reina’s voice was filled with unconcealable admiration. "It really is the Second-stage Magic Vibration Frequency!"

She immediately crouched down and pressed the Vibrating Stone against the rhizome that was already more than halfway sawn through.

The stone seemed to have a will of its own. The moment it touched the black bamboo root, it automatically changed the direction of its vibrational energy, pouring it unstoppably into the dark rhizome.

Reina felt the vibration in her scalp cease, and the tuft of dazed hair stopped trembling.

"BZZZZ—"

The rhizome began to hum.

It began to tremble with a minuscule amplitude, so slight it was almost invisible to the naked eye.

The surrounding soil absorbed the vibrational energy, and small flecks of dirt and dust actually began to leap up from the ground.

Reina skillfully adjusted her Magic Power output, constantly changing the vibration frequency to search for the "key" that would cause the rhizome to achieve maximum resonance.

The Dazed Girl didn’t forget to share her thoughts. "Mr. Mo Ning’s work on the Magic Coupling is fantastic. I feel like there’s not much difference between this and controlling a High Level Vibrating Stone."

Of course, there was a difference.

The biggest issue was that it was a bit more troublesome to control. If someone had never used one before, they would need to fumble with it for quite a while to get the hang of it.

But her introductory teacher had been a Second Level Apprentice, so she had been exposed to Vibrating Stones from a very early age and could naturally handle it with ease.

Hearing her companion praise Mo Ning again and again, Anya’s beautiful eyes curved into crescents of delight.

The Noble Lady loved hearing people praise Mo Ning; it brought her even more joy than being praised herself.

As the Vibrating Stone’s output frequency was continuously adjusted, the rhizome’s trembling finally reached a level visible to the naked eye at a specific frequency point.

This was especially true at the cut, which was almost severed; it twitched every so often as if something were struggling inside.
