"...You probably can’t imagine, but when Miss Anya revealed that the exquisitely crafted badge was actually a Silver Pen Member Badge from the *Shining Light of the Black Tower*, I was struck by the feeling of a legend appearing right before my eyes.

"You’ve described the immense significance of the Silver Pen Badge to me many times—for the tens of thousands of Apprentices at the Black Tower Academy, it’s something almost everyone dreams of obtaining."

Reina grew more and more excited as she wrote, so much so that fine beads of sweat appeared on the tip of her delicate nose.

"But *Shine* awards fewer than ten Silver Pen Badges each year. When I saw a newcomer wearing the badge on his chest, I was just..."

The Dazed Girl suddenly couldn’t find the right words to describe her feelings, and for the first time, the tip of her pen paused.

It was then that she noticed the room felt a little stuffy.

Under normal circumstances, that should have been impossible.

Every dormitory area in the academy was temperature-regulated by large-scale Witchcraft, ensuring it always remained within the most comfortable range for the body.

So, whether it was the dead of winter or the height of summer outside, the dormitories were always as warm as a spring day.

The reason Reina felt so hot was that she had received one of the important auxiliary tools for her research project—the Warm Sun Furnace.

When Mr. Mo Ning had handed it to her, the Dazed Girl had seen a black metal sphere.

The sphere was about the size of a fist, its surface as smooth as a mirror, with no seams or patterns.

At the time, she was a bit dazed, thinking it was some kind of experimental instrument, and didn’t understand what Mr. Mo Ning wanted with it.

Not until Mr. Mo Ning said, "This is a Warm Sun Furnace. You’ll be in charge of it from now on," did Reina accept the metal sphere in astonishment.

’This is a furnace?’

’It doesn’t look like one at all!’

After returning to her dorm, the Dazed Girl fiddled with the sphere for a while and accidentally triggered its mechanism.

With a few CLICKS, the sphere rapidly unfolded.

Its seemingly smooth, seamless surface instantly split into countless fine cracks. Metal plates folded, extended, and reassembled in all directions, and in the blink of an eye, it transformed into a black, three-legged furnace the size of a papaya.

The body of the furnace was cylindrical and its surface was filigreed, covered with exquisite brushed-metal patterns that interwove across its walls to form a complex and elegant picture.

Through the openwork gaps, one could vaguely see a crimson glow swirling inside, like a flame sealed in glass.

A toasty warmth slowly emanated from the furnace.

The most incredible part was that she could feel the warmth even on her back, which was turned away from the furnace.

In that moment, she praised the wonders of Witchcraft’s creations from the bottom of her heart.

And of course, there was the amazing Mr. Mo Ning, who had managed to procure a Warm Sun Furnace from the academy with just a single research proposal.

"So hot!"

Reina finally realized that the Warm Sun Furnace sitting beside her was the culprit making her sweat so much.

A normal person would have immediately turned off the Warm Sun Furnace.

But the Dazed Girl’s mind worked a little strangely.

Instead of turning it off, she did something rather boneheaded—she took off her white blouse.

A pair of small, pert breasts were now breathing the fresh air directly.

Reina felt much more comfortable. She picked up her Ink Tube Pen and resumed writing her letter to Teacher Buck.

She wrote for another ten minutes without stopping, and the letter finally reached its conclusion.

"My dearest Teacher Buck, I sincerely urge you to accept Mr. Mo Ning’s invitation and travel to the Royal Capital of the Holy Spear Kingdom to investigate the cause of Sir Rent’s death.

"From what Mr. Mo Ning said, he just wants to find the cause of death. He doesn’t need you to unmask the actual killer, so it shouldn’t be too dangerous."

She paused, the tip of her pen hovering over the paper for a moment before she continued to write:

"What I’m about to say last is a wondrous echo I received while listening to my soul, and I hope you will not treat it as a joke.

"After you studied my Spiritual Traits, you told me yourself that I possess the [Intuition of the Right Direction], and this power has indeed been a great help many times.

"And I have a strong intuition—that a wondrous power lies dormant within Mr. Mo Ning, a power that can change the destinies of many people around him.

"If you take this step forward, your life might embark on a completely different trajectory—perhaps the very one you have dreamed of countless times."

Then, she wrote her closing:

"Forever your adoring Reina!"

The Dazed Girl quickly checked it over, making sure there were no typos or awkward phrases.

Then, she folded the letter and slipped it into an envelope made of beast hide.

The envelope already contained a thick, revised thesis, and now she added the three-page, handwritten letter.

Yet from the outside, it looked as if there was nothing in it at all.

The contrast was astonishing.

This was precisely a Magic Envelope, a gift from Old Buck to his student.

Long before Reina had even entered the academy, Second Level Apprentice Buck had already set up a channel of communication for his student.

She just had to put the letter into a Magic Envelope and give it to one of Old Buck’s friends at the academy. That friend would then use the academy’s communication system to send it to Black Mountain City in the Holy Spear Kingdom.

Using this channel was free; it relied on the connections and resources Buck had accumulated over several decades at the academy.

And Black Mountain City was Reina’s hometown.

The Dazed Girl gazed at the envelope and murmured, "The Black Mountain Festival should be soon, right?"

She was feeling a little homesick.

The Black Mountain Festival was a holiday unique to Black Mountain City. During that time, people would don black mountain goat masks and hold grand celebrations.
