Game Market 1983

< EP. 36: Singer-songwriter. (5) >

Whether it was taken out of the shopping bag or back home with no one, the ‘God's Gift’ had very small components.

When the seals of the sealing package were removed and the paper box opened and opened, a manual and game cartridge were placed in the inner plastic case.

I looked through the thick manuals before playing the game and saw that I had a great story line that clearly exceeded the framework of the existing game that I had known so far, even Prologue alone. Is this the moment when the graphic novel genre is real?

After turning over the page introduced by four heroes, a simple manipulation of the game was written. And on the last page of the manual there was a score for the main theme song.

I put two batteries in Raon's body and turned on the power switch, just as the Nakamura told me.

Later, in the middle of the screen, a cute phrase called RAON popped up and the initial setup page popped up.

When I moved the crosshairs to match the date and time, and then entered the ID and password to be used on the handset where the game could be downloaded, I noticed the main screen.

-Put your game cartridge in a slot. -

By inserting the game cartridge according to the text shown at the top and pressing the Select button, I remembered a message window before the manufacturer's logo appeared.

-Information of earphones is recommended over internal speakers for clearer listening to God's gift music. If you want stereo sound, keep your earphones plugged in and press the YES button. -

I removed the earphones I used for the Walkman from the desk drawer, plugged the earphone jack into the bottom of the Raon and pressed the OK button.

After a while, a screen titled "Gift of God" appeared along with a beautiful piano tune.

The windswept curtain and the grand piano next to it gave a very poor feeling to the one looking at it.

When I was watching the title screen while listening to the main theme song of God's gift, 'Love Letter,' I felt like my breasts were eating for no reason.

-NEW GAME-

-PRACTICE MODE-

-OPTION-

From the three menus, I placed my cursor at the top of the new game and pressed OK.

With a fade out, the title screen slowly darkened and the game started with a spotlight on in the middle of the screen.

At a piano show in Concul, it began by slowly stepping onto the stage and placing your hands lightly on the piano keyboard.

-Elohim Essaim, Elohim Essaim... all will be done as I wish. -

Then I started playing the piano with the rhythm bar coming down from the top at the next part of the bottle.

The first song of God's gift is Chopin's Knockton op.9 No. 1...

Is this what it feels like to hit a piano by yourself in the moonlight shining through a window frame?

This song, which has a very emotional feeling, was one of the famous songs that comes to mind when it was shortened with an assessment that the tone was too beautiful.

I never thought I'd see classical music through a game...

Soon, I began to hit all the rhythm bars at the right time, focusing on the increasing tune of the piano.

Since the song lasted about 6 minutes and 30 seconds and required a high concentration, I could feel my fingers hardening as the combo reached 180.

Chopin's piano song had a lot of cuts in the middle, which was very similar to his personality of shutting down words because he couldn't tell his lover what he wanted to say.

A little more... a little more...

I was obsessed with the protagonist's liquor and moved my finger. I got a S rank by completing the protagonist's first song as a full combo.

Is it because I usually like classics and like to play guitar? My fingertips were a little bumpy, but I can't tell you how impressive it was to play the piano.

Even though Chopin's emotions were transferred to a small cartridge like this, I did not feel sorry for the amount of money I bought this game.

And after a while. The true story of God's gift begins with a powerful applause from the audience.

I imagined for a moment that it would be as much fun and happy as Chopin's beautiful piano tune, but my hunch was shattered along with the protagonist's accident scene in the game.

The sound of sirens from the ambulance coming over the earphones and a woman screaming for help.

A woman's voice is heard in the flashlight rushing by the emergency room.

“Please... God. Please don't take him away like this. ”

Her humbling voice was repeated faintly so that she could not tell which of the four heroes belonged.

At some point. I heard someone's voice in her desperate wish.

Whether the voice was God's response... or the Devil's twist was the only part you had to clear.

&

A year before the accident came around, there were four heroes, of which I liked the vibrant violinist named Kaori.

She was like a sister who definitely brought her protagonist's tenacious personality despite her comradeship.

The protagonist had to think about who was the hero who had prayed for him within a year, but when he played the piano, he had to try not to miss her as much as possible in the part that played the piano.

Especially in the second chapter, her memories of working with Kaori were so dull that I thought Kaori might have saved the protagonist at the time of the accident.

"I wish she was the hero who saved the protagonist..."

Even if you lose your memory, the protagonist is trying hard to find the woman who prayed for you.

Her desperate wish to save the protagonist, even though she lost all memory of herself...

Seeing them together reminds me of Princess Fairytale Mermaid of Andersen.

And at the same time, I remembered the sad ending together.

‘Eventually, the mermaid, who had never been loved by the prince, vanished into a bubble...’
