Lesson 5: The Law

I've been out hunting a few times since, and I've been able to grasp the guidelines. Thanks to this, I have an efficient hunting life now.

Knowledge-based skills training in the market also worked well. Now I know almost all the ingredients in the market. Some details are unknown, but only the ingredient name dominated.

Yeah, well, speaking of hunting, I found interesting stores all over the city. Pet shop. As the name suggests, it looks like a store that deals with animals, a livestock store, or a different lineage from a tutor. I have brought in a few live rabbits because I have found out here that they buy away animals for my favorite use. They sell higher than fur and meat combined.

People at the store told me that squirrels and birds were also popular, but the capture of small animals was not productive, and if it was capture, I wouldn't improve my skills. Above all, we don't have the technology or the tools to capture them, so we misled them if we had the chance.

And the tutor buys out the animals, too. Once we captured the Charge Rabbit, we couldn't do it in the pet store, but we sold it here. [Tutoring] If you get used to it, they can get you into battle, too, and it's a store that handles animals for it. You think some stores handle warcraft? I'm not interested in pets or animals as a force at the moment. It's just fascinating in terms of income, so I'm going to go for it if I get a chance.

That's how I earned money and switched my protective gear from soft to hard leather. My arm remained the same as Leias', but I decided to put bowl gold on my forehead. Because I don't want to be hit in the forehead with a blow like every charging rabbit.

I think I'm pretty well equipped. Your upper arms and thighs will remain anxious without protective gear, but we will align them sooner or later to the extent that they do not inhibit movement. Somehow, lighter fits my style of combat.

And then I decided to raise the knife I bought to my waist. With his bare hands, he was entwined by a chimpy player once. He was a dwarf who rushed away when he said he was going to call GM, but depressing when he got tangled up again and again. I hope the weapon serves as a deterrent. Heh heh, now nobody thinks I'm a fighter.

I'm sure it would also be interpreted as a fighter style if I wore it on the road, but I don't have a choice because I don't sell roads or anything to this world.

Login for the tenth time.

Hunting for one more today, and trying to get outside the city, the noise comes from the front. Two guards were just taking him with both arms of a man.

"Goddamn it! Get the fuck off me, Mob!

Oh, a player. The guards do not speak in silence against the players who continue to resist, but walk away as they are.

"Whatever..."

I'm pretty sure that guy did something, but I've never seen a guard take him anywhere.

He's the current perpetrator of the damage.

A voice came from the side to answer my question. What was there when I saw it was a familiar face. It's just what I usually wear, no doubt.

"Lord Instructor."

It was Mr. Perkins, the instructor who gave me advice at the voluntary training ground.

"Why are you here?

"I'm on vacation today. It's not like they're hanging out there at 46: 00, okay?

That's what I was convinced. But does NPC also have a vacation or something? I wonder how far you're willing to make it real. The operation.

Well, that's okay. Let's get back to it.

"So, what do you mean by damage to the appliance?

"Oh, it seems that that man attributed it to the shopkeeper in the outhouse ahead. It was a fruit barn, but I kicked in a table with merchandise and crushed some more. The guards who went through it seized it."

"... you deserve it... or you're embarrassed"

We players are recognized as [people outside] outside of the world. Yeah, that's how bad our reputation must be if we're stupid. What an annoying story.

"Fools who do evil are no different from us or the Gentiles. Some good men and some fools. That's all."

"It would be helpful if you could say that"

There's no reason why if one does bad, everything is bad, etc., but if it goes too far, I can really get that impression. You have to be careful what you say and do so you don't get sweet on these words. I'm not too sure, though.

"By the way, how have you been?

"I managed to get on track. Thanks to the guidance of His Highness the Teacher."

Thanks to the fact Mr. Perkins, Spirit Magic has grown considerably wider. I'm not used to it just because it's available, but it should help.

"Hmm...... you're in good shape, you're gonna see painful eyes. Like not failing to drill every day."

Tough word, but my voice doesn't have it. To see where my mouth is laughing, it would be lightning up. I don't have the guts to say it.

"Lord Instructor, by the way. If you have time to go, how about that?

I'll ask her out with a pattern that tilts the glass. I've been wanting to hear a lot about it for a long time. But Mr. Perkins shakes his head sideways.

"I'm afraid I have business to attend to. But we'll hang out when we're free. I'm looking forward to that."

That's what the instructor left. I'm sorry, but I can't help it if it's an errand. Well, then, as planned...

"Hey, you got a minute?

I was called out to move. One man ahead of me turned around. That's the first face I've ever seen. Blue-eyed, so-called aesthetic face with blonde hair. Equipment is sheet metal armor. What I'm raising on my hips is a one-handed sword.

"Something?

"Oh, you were talking to NPC earlier. How could you say that there is such a law in this world?

I noticed when they said it. I was listening to it for granted, but there's no way I know the laws of this world.

"No, I was convinced that if I broke something, it would be an organ damage."

To be honest, the aesthetic player in front of you blinks and laughs,

"But now, isn't this important?

and bring up the issue.

"Well, sure."

What would be a sin if I did it? I was thinking about it in real life compliance, but there's absolutely no coverage that works.

I might need to check it out once. It's going to be a good reference for future activities. Sure there must have been a library, so why don't you check it out there? I was going to go sometime, and it's just fine. That's all I've been thinking about.

"So, I'm sorry. You know where the library is?

And a man asked. Apparently this man, too, was interested in the laws of this world.

"I was gonna go, too, so you want to come with me?

"Oh, that would help. I'm Luke. Say hello."

"I'm a fist. Greetings."

After introducing ourselves to each other, we decided to go to the library.

Library. Officially referred to as Einfast Grand Library. It's a big stone building.

A number of bookshelves stand in the spacious space as you enter. There seems to be considerable depth and upstairs. I'm here now. It's like a lobby, it's blown out.

"Hmm?"

I felt uncomfortable there. Somehow, there's something wrong with the bookshelves lined up in front. Not that the bookshelf itself is strange. I just don't know if the placement is floating, or why I put it in this line. It's unnecessarily bad that I can't put it into words successfully.

"What's up?

"No, nothing..."

I decided I had no choice but to speak, clouding my words and proceeding to the reception. A woman with long brown hair glasses looked at us and bowed her head.

"I'd like to use this place, what can I do?

"The arrival fee will be thirty pedia. Please do not hesitate to let me know if you can tell me the trends in the books you are looking for and I can also guide you. It is basically forbidden to take out books, but you are free to copy them as they are not a problem in themselves. We also sell writing equipment, so buy if necessary"

That's it, the receptionist who shows the reception side by hand - no, can I just say clerk? Pens, paper, rugged books, etc., line up.

"It's quick, where are the legal books?

"Yes, from the back over there, from the second shelf from the left, it's a legal relationship"

When Luke asked, the secretary's sister taught him politely. Be thankful and pay thirty pedia at a time and head to the bookshelf of purpose.

Even when it comes to the law, it varies. Even in real life there are various laws starting with the Constitution. It's bone to look at all of that, but for now, all we need is a criminal entanglement law. Others will be fine to chase.

Several books of the same title are also delivered on the bookshelf. Is it a consideration so that it can be offered to more than one person? While reading the letters of this world, look for the books on criminal law.

The language of the GAO world is the unique language of this world. We players have language skills [common language] from the beginning, so that we can read the letters of this world. Specifically, Japanese will float to the letter of this world so that it can be read.

The same goes for the conversation, we speak Japanese, but they hear it in the common language of the world here and there. NPC - The language of the residents can be heard as a different language from Japanese, but the meaning comes to mind. So it may not match the movement of the other person's mouth and the meaning conveyed. I wish I had set Japanese as a common language from the start, but I'm also not sure about this detention. I think it's amazing.

Either way, discover the criminal law book safely. There were three identical books, so I gave one to Luke. Luke gratefully received it, so we'll sit at a nearby table together and check the contents.

The content does not appear to differ materially from real criminal law. It starts with the scope of application and the type of sentence.

"I knew there was a death penalty..."

I heard Luke whine. The heaviest punishment in this world is also the death penalty. Then it goes on with jail time, confinement and fines. Then there seems to be a combined confiscation sentence. It is a measure to take possession of the person who committed the crime. I don't know exactly how it applies.

"Well, you're on probation."

"No, no, no. What does probation mean? I've heard a lot about it in the papers and on the news."

"For example, suppose you got a sentence of three years probation for one year in prison. For the next three years, if I didn't do anything wrong, I wouldn't have to go to jail. Like that."

Answer that to Luke, who has thrown the question at this whine. Maybe this explains it. Sorry if I'm not.

The book describes what sins follow. The damage to the apparatus we just saw all over the city was also well specified. The penalty is imprisonment or a fine. I guess that man will be given this disposition too.

Are we likely to be involved in homicide and injury, burglary and robbery, or damage to appliances?

However, there was this description at the homicide and injury system.

"except as a result of a duel"

This means that it is not a sin to hurt someone by a duel or to die as a result. You're allowed to duel by law in this world.

It reminded me of a law made around Fumi Meiji that we should not have a duel. It punishes those involved, such as the parties to the duel and those present. This law, by the way, is still in force. Therefore, the defective Tyman, etc. would be said to be in violation of the law, and there are some examples that were made in this law, rather than actually assault or injury.

Back in the game, the supplement about duels in this world probably refers to PvP. If both parties agree to hurt the other party, it means they are not guilty. Surely every time PvP is arrested by a guard, I can't even see it.

When I finished reading the whole thing, nature and sigh leaked.

I didn't think this game set up so fine. But what bothers me is how many players the hell know this exists.

If you follow the advice at the beginning, you won't be imitating it too quickly, but I'm looking at a player who's now arrested for material damage. This should be made widely known to players. I think so.

"Hey, Luke. I think we should make this public. What do you think?

"Oh, I think so, too. We shouldn't be the only ones left. If we keep doing this, we're going to get more and more criminals in our players."

Luke seems to have the same idea. His words continue.

"Because it's a game, so many players have a pretty tyrannical attitude towards NPC. If it's a computer game, it's natural to open a private house tank or crate. But if you're bringing that commonplace into this world and you're acting, you're definitely gonna be a criminal and you're gonna be penalized."

Because it's a game. These are magical words. Forgiveness because it's not real, the absolution mark that you can do anything. It's just not allowed in this world.

"Besides, maybe Fist notices, right? NPC's eyes and attitudes toward such tyrannical players."

"Oh."

Luke's right. Obviously not. expressions and voices towards those who normally deal with them and those who do not. And it propagates to other residents, not just those who come into direct contact with them. As if we had heard the circumstances from the parties. As if rumors had spread. It's a reaction to the residents being favored.

"Some people, like the man Fist was talking about earlier, show understanding. But the problem is that more people don't. This could come down to all of us players."

To be honest, I was surprised. That there are players who think this way. And that's what made me a little happy.

"Oh, so let's move on to action"

Launch the menu and open the bulletin board. And I was just about to create a new thread,

"Wait, Fist. I'll do the sleigh."

And Luke stopped me.

"I was a beta tester, so my face is still pretty wide and my name is sold. I was wondering if I could make it a little more credible around here."

Sure if you ask me. I'm not a player and celebrity from the official version. I doubt if such a human voice will reach everyone. Even if you say the same thing, it doesn't work as famous as anonymous.

"Okay, I'll leave that to Luke."

"Oh. Talk to your buddies, too, and we'll get it up soon. Well... if this is true, it doesn't matter if the NPC's negative emotions aren't for unrelated players..."

I sighed and Luke blew it.

I deserve the person who does stupid things and gets paid, but it's players other than the party who get all that. I really don't want to be unreasonable like that. There is a part for others, but also for themselves.

That said, I have to break a little bone because it must be something I need to do for fun in this world. The PR activity itself goes with every opportunity I have, and I want some other players to seriously think about it. Somehow they're going to tell you to lose your paranoid B or your autonomous cook, but you know what?

Well, I've got a paragraph to do here, too. Let's keep this for today.

"Then it's time for me to fall."

I'll have to go to work a little early tomorrow, so I'd better cut it up around here. I really wanted to go hunting, but this time was meaningful in itself, so okay.

"Oh, wait a minute, Fist"

When I took my seat, Luke called me off.

"All of a sudden, why don't you join our guild?

The guild we call it here would be a community of players, not a union of residents like a hunting guild. More than two weeks after the start of the service, more players have been able to set up guilds.

"All the members are good guys, and I'm sure we can get along"

"An Alliance... What policy is Luke's Alliance working with?

"For once, it is the main offense. That's one of the offensive groups. Now it's just a guild for party members, but they're all buddies since they were beta."

"Hmm... I'm not a skill structure and level that I can fight at the forefront of the offense... I'm glad to hear it, but I think on the offensive side, I'll pull my leg first, so don't worry about it"

Honestly, I don't think we can go about high-level players like they call beta testers. If it's enough to annoy you, you better not join it from the start. Besides, there's probably more to it than being a sociopath and not joining the timing of that offense. I can't have it for this convenience every time.

"Right, that's too bad...... but about as good as signing up for a friend, right?

You seemed discouraged by my reply, Luke, but I'll come up with a suggestion in advance.

"Oh, nice to meet you. When the time is right and you can afford it that way, I'm glad you invited me. I want you to tell me all about it."

When I think about it, it's been almost ten days since I started playing the game, and Luke is my friend number one. How much was I...

Finish your friend registration safely and break up that day.

Well, I wonder what we'll do tomorrow.
